pennybridge 1,029 #3 Posted September 4, 2022 (edited) I was a little bit dissapointed with Landmark during my stay, maybe the fact that i think the executive lounge was a big joke. I did like the rooms at Mercure soi 11 more, just opposite of Cindys. Aloft is decent as well. Personally i would pick Mercure or Aloft instead of Landmark on my next visit. I understand they have their policies when it comes to early check in or late check out. At Aloft i arrived 7 hours before check in because of early flight. They didnt have any problem to find me a room, plus they also gave me a free upgrade for no extra charge. While on the other hand, Landmark i asked for late check out (3 hours later than my check out time). They were going to charge me for a half day extra for late check out. ARI23 3,021 #4 Posted September 4, 2022 Landmark and Sofitel are great hotels. But for the same prices you will get a much bigger room in Mercure soi 11 or Adelphi Suites soi 8 - I would say 30 sqm / 50 sqm - Depends what you prefer (I prefer the bigger room). Discreet ??? Are you scared of being seen by someone you know with a ladyboy while coming back to your hotel ? Well ... It can happen. I once met a work mate in Nana Plaza. I didn't know he was in Thailand. I was alone, just coming back from a short time session with a ladyboy in a Nana Plaza short-time room. Hmmm. To avoid that : - Take a session in the short time room of the bars (Cindy's, CIB, Chaos 9, Why Not all have short time rooms upstairs). - Barfine the girl and tell her to be in 30 mins at your hotel. Give her your room number. Come back first to your hotel and tell the receptionist a guest will be there soon and that she can go up to your room. - Book a girl with Smooci or another escort agency or Thaifriendly. She will go to your room. 1 1 maycduk and YoYo27 reacted to this

I stayed so many times in Landmark that they give me now a free upgrade each time I come. I had a corner room at the top floor (29 I think) for 2200 baht in May 2022. fizzy 13 #8 Posted September 4, 2022 Hopeland hotel on soi 8 is where I have booked the rooms look really nice and are quite large with a balcony/bath and half the cost of Landmark. can't say if they are as good as they look on the site as it will be my first time staying there but I think for the price it seems like a good choice. Vagamundo 698 #9 Posted September 4, 2022 I stay in añ apartment nearby and had a friend who stayed there a few years ago for the winter. The only complaint he had was the tv cable basically only offers Thai stations, no English language channels, though I don’t know if that changed.
katana57 103 #10 Posted September 5, 2022 Why not try an Airbnb. or a serviced apartment/condo. You'd get a nice place on your budget. No kids and discreet.

Victortheo 117 #14 Posted September 6, 2022 Westin Grande near Asoke BTS is around 5.5 k baht per night. 6.5 with breakfast. If you book early, have Marriott membership you could use points etc. And bring it down. Great rooms, all facilities, location is quite convenient ( 7-8 min to CIB, 12-15 for Cindy's). Lobby is on 7th floor. So ask the girl to come there. And then get her through the access elevators or leave a message and they will allow her to your floor. 1 YoYo27 reacted to this

ipartridge 190 #16 Posted September 11, 2022 I will always have a soft spot for Hotel Nana. I know its a bit of a hole but I like the staff and enjoy chatting to the guests. It also has the best location going. It was the first Bangkok hotel I stayed in so probably a bit sentimental about it. Will be in BKK end of October, first part of the stay I have treated myself to the Landmark, always admired the place and after 3 years of not going away thought I would push the boat out. on the last leg of the holiday will stay at the Nana. 1 george1515 reacted to this

I concur with ipartridge regarding Nana Hotel. It’s the grand dame of all the BKK hotels. Can’t beat its location as it is located right smack in front of Nana Plaza, it has a good size pool to lounge during the day, it offers a more than decent breakfast buffet (included with room). If you were put off by its old fashioned rooms, they were renovated around 2015. Their staff are very efficient and utterly professional and believe me they have seen and heard it all so no need to fret when walking thru the lobby with two lb’s by your side. I have found memories of staying there on my first visit to the LoS and I am glad that some things like Nana Hotel never change. 2 taaseesanuk and ipartridge reacted to this

Agreed, going back there is like putting on an old pair of slippers....it's old fashioned ways are part of it's charm. I took the best suite they had last time as it was ridiculously cheap and not much more than one of the executive rooms.....in truth it was still decades behind the one I had at Citrus suites, but as you say the location is the best you will get, and reception and security have seen every single kind walk through them doors....nobody bats an eyelid....I look forward to returning soon. You know what, as I think about it, I believe that Nana use it's dated old fashioned persona to attract a target guest.....single traveller, 50+, with one sole intention of sleeping, eating, and Mongering.....I guess that's me and a load more besides!......Millennials, generation X, package tourists and ex Hotel inspectors should probably look elsewhere. 1 1 george1515 and ipartridge reacted to this

Test, the works. Could not fault it. Next trip I am going back to the Grand Business Inn,(Soi 11), which is where I finished off my last trip. Have a large suite for very small money. Does everything I need. I'm a believer,(sorry a bad pun re the Monkees), in not paying big money for a room. Rather the girls got it.

Of course, everybody has their own budget, money certainly doesn't go on trees and it's dumb to waste your hard-earned cash. But if you are going to spend time, money and effort travelling halfway around the planet for a vacation of several weeks, you need to spend enough to make it a pleasant and trouble free experience. Nothing can make your vacation more miserable than being trapped in a crummy hotel that you chose for no other reason than to save a few baht over a nicer place. 4 CanadaVisitor, 18lb45, mikel and 1 other reacted to this

Never stayed there before. i was looking at airbnbs they are nice but i need ill need a clean up after night or two for sure… lol 1 oliver17 reacted to this
