Boomerang got a reaction from OneTrueSaxon in Favorite Foods and Where to Eat
I went there feeling pretty hungry after a big night prior . I am a bit fond of club sandwiches and going by the size of meals i had at others places , i ordered 2 x club sandwiches . The waitress enquired if i had a friend coming , for which i replied no. Well she got a funny look on her face and became a little awkward . She said " you sure sir" . Yes i replied . Well i could hear bit of giggling and babble in thai and didnt really think anything of it.Well out came two huge plates of chips and salad and large sandwiches on both, other staff came out just to see my reaction . They all started laughing at the surprised reaction on my face i guess , along with some farang adjacent .
My pride was telling me , you gotta eat all this now 555 . I couldnt go close , just tried to eat enough to thin it out on both plates.
I could hardly walk i was that bloated as made my way back up soi 11 to sukhumvit .

Recently my Condo was being worked on and I needed a place to stay for the night. I found this cheap guesthouse.

    PROS

    - Very close to Asoke. Right on the corner of Sukhumvit 18
    - Cheap, no credit card required to check in, cash only
    - Girl Friendly
    - Awesome rainfall style shower
    - Plenty of food/shopping within walking distance
    - Soi Cowboy within walking distance

    CONS

    - Bed was two twins pushed together and neither was comfortable.
    - Can be very noisy during the day time
    - Rooms are on the small side
    - Wifi was very unreliable, lots of disconnects
    - No tea/coffee or minibar in the room just an empty refrigerator.
    - No room service or onsite restaurant.

It was an okay for a one night stay but not something I would recommend long term. If you want to be close to all the action for not a lot of money this is a decent place for the price but there are better places with more amenities.

Tee is good in the sack and also has a good social conversation. She is down to earth, contrary to others who may have a diva attitude. She has no bad attitude whatsoever. She is very nice a speaks a very good English.

If you do not know her, be prepared to meet somebody towering 1m80+ (more than 6ft). She cut her hair some 6 months ago, sporting a sherry hairstyle now.

Stayed here recently. The initial review and follow ups pretty much cover it all but I though I'd share some thoughts. I'd stayed at the soi 11 property before so i knew what to expect room wise. Very similar (bathrooms different) but this property is in better condition as you'd expect being newer. Wasn't expecting to have issues with noise as per previous reviews but I was surprised at just how quiet it was given it's location. I stayed in Deluxe room 40 something (1280 b / night) and looked down on DrBJ which made for some interesting people watching.

Friendly staff, secure ID taking process which might be too much hassle for some but I like it. They call when your squeeze leaves but I'd unplugged my phone to stop the bright LED flashing at night so reception came up and checked everything was OK in person...nice touch. Friendly staff, good wifi, DVD player and flat screen TV. One bad point was the useless light above the vanity for shaving...but that's something I've found in probably 80% of places I've stayed in Thailand.

Location location. What a self contained little soi 7/1 is, best money exchange, straight and shonky massage, straight and shonky bars, plenty of food options, Bangkok beat and metres from the BTS. If it had a 7/11 you'd never need to leave it. Until you'd been through the selection next door of course !

So, lets try to give my first review

Located at the head Sukhumvit Soi 10, next to Chuwit Park and TheLollipop1.
A nice and clean hotel, with a small, friendly staff.

Some people found the standard rooms a little small, so I took the Deluxe room.
Control panel next to your bed for light, airco, time etc. Very handy.
Rooms are clean, a big bathroom comparing to the bedroom.
Bath/shower and toilet are diveded by a glass door, so you don't have to wear your boots when you come out of the shower.

    Front

    Room

    Bathroom

Breakfast is very limited (3 choiches), you have to buy that seperate when you're checking in.

Guestfriendly: didn't take anybody up there, but I think so.

Rooms and prices (according to their site)
    Standard - 1500 Bht
    Superior - 1700 Bht
    Deluxe - 1900 Bht
    Suite - 2500 Bht

Better still sync all photos to all apple products you own via I cloud just go to settings and set it up.

Unless you are a married man and your wife's phone is synced as well. That would just be suicide

    Airdrop works perfectly well.
Just switch it on on both devices. Tick all the images you want transferred, click on the user you want to transfer to from the host device and voi la, xferred in seconds.
I personally wouldn't sync all devices if there are partners/kids in the house.
You just never know when iMessage/emails may get shared to another mobile device and read by the wrong person

Very nice room, spacious, comfortable bed, small kitchenete, working desk, wardrobe and spacious bathroom with bathtube and shower. Good restaurant on the ground floor, nice swimming pool. Very lovelly staff also. I didnt have so much time to enjoy the hotel but I´d like to come back again. Good location, close to suk soi 11. I had read about some of those things about her so I had my guard up but an interesting thing happened during our session. I found she likes it hard and rough.

Another shot just to show off the room a little more of course.

I had to do a visa run to Lao last week so thought I'd check out the VIP bus option from Bangkok described by mardhi.

I sat in the downstairs compartment which only houses 6 passengers, had a solo seat. Not only do they have a serious recline but they have buttons you press to give you a massage as well!

We left Mo Chit at 20:30 and arrived in Mukdahan at about 06:45, I think we only stopped in Korat which was about 3 hours into the journey. The roads were very quiet, especially with the midnight curfew still in effect as well.

Recently my company put me up at Asia Hotel. It is not really near the action but I thought I would share my take on it anyways.

    Pros:

    - Directly connected to BTS.
    - Semi private entrance (don't have to pass front desk) can take gurls straight to your room.
    - Good buffet breakfast.
    - Some very good restaurants.
    - Surprisingly decent LB Cabaret show nightly.
    - Morning newspaper
    - two swimming pools

    Cons:

    - Rooms are a bit dated.
    - Charge for Wifi (ended up costing close to what the room did).
    - Wifi only reaches half the hotel.
    - Some of the worst service at any hotel I stayed at.
    - too many families (not good for a mongerer lol).

This is not a hotel I would ever pay for with my own money but it was decent for a business trip. The direct connection to the BTS was its major advantage. They do have a very good Brazilian BBQ restaurant that I have been back for a few times.

Would say yes, this forum is for fun and going to Thailand should not be about worry but I don't think it does any harm having these sorts of questions on the site. As others have said, I would always use protection for receptive and insertive anal sex. I've also read up about safe sex and over the years I have a HIV test annually but will always have one each time I come back from Thailand. With those procedures in place, I put any worry I have right at the back of my mind and enjoy myself fully. To date no problems so that makes the worry less & less and more room for fun. Just be sensible but above all enjoy yourself. If it really does do your head in so much then probably best book 2-weeks in Majorca instead.

The Game Sports Bar & Grill is conveniently located next to the BTS Nana Skytrain Station on the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 9. The Game has been established for 2 years now and although they portray an international theme it is American owned and ran by Americans. The Game is managed by Andrew Garrity who is an award-winning chef. The Game provides an excellent variety of pub grub, which you can see in the photos below...

Had a great feed at the 5th avenue food court (5th floor mbk) today . Whilst there are many different types of food to be had there , i chose spanish meatballs with this delicious lightly toasted bread to mop up the sauce . Very yummy and reasonably priced . They issue you a card on entry that you use at any of the micro restaurants inside . You then pay at a check out on leaving . Highly recomend anyone trying it if in Mbk shopping centre
