Booked three nights through agoda (good deal) beginning of 10 night trip in May. Chose a one bedroom suite. Very roomy with kitchenette, decent tv, comfortable furniture. Bathroom was good with good pressure and hot water. A raised tile at the bathroom door can be an annoying trip hazard but you learn fast! The reason I got such a good deal was that the balcony was filled with an air conditioning unit so was useless. Recommended for a long stay if you get a balcony. Food ok. Staff excellent. No problem with lb's. Check in was slow (I expect this now and zone out) with a lot of paper shuffling and quizzical looks at folders. Warning - don't sit in the ludicrously uncomfortable chairs in front of the desk. Free computer in the lobby. Good location - close to the action but quiet. Decent laundry service - turn left at the front door and you'll find it in the small soi just past the bend in the road. Follow soi 6 up to Suk and you're at Nana bts.

Stayed 2 nights in May. Got a bargain deal through their website while in bkk. Decent size room for fun and games although you wouldn't want to hang out all day with a companion. Small pool on the roof. Decent for relaxing late afternoon. Food's ok and staff are excellent. First stayed here in 2009 and it hasn't dated at all. Still in goid nick. (I flatter myself that I'm the same but...)
Location is ideal for a mongering trip - short walk straight up soi 4 to the action. Personally I'd tire of the area if he was here long term - prefer a change of scenery during the daytime. Two nights was perfect.

Some of the photographs here were collected from the Grand Swiss website and are noted as such. The (very) amateur efforts were shot
    by Yours Truly.

LOCATION: The official address of Grand Swiss hotel is Soi 11. The actual location is on the side Soi 11/1 as indicated on the map. Soi 11/1 is primarily
a pedestrian Soi with very little vehicular traffic. Check In Bar is a 5 minute stroll away. Nana Plaza, Chaos 9 and the rest of Soi 4 are a 10-15 minute
walk depending on the bullshit clogging Sukhumvit sidewalks at any given time.

ABOUT: Grand Swiss is part of the Compass Group. Their properties include Citrus 13, Legacy Suites, Le Fenix, The Continent and several others.
Compass Hotels offer efficient and very friendly service as well as meticulously maintained properties. It is hard to go wrong booking any of
    their hotels.

NEIGHBORHOOD: Soi 11 features numerous farang-oriented restaurants and bars for every taste and budget. Taxis, tuk-tuks and scooter taxis are
readily available around the clock. Nana BTS is about a 3 minute walk from the hotel.

RATES: Basic rooms start at 2400 baht per night. Club level rooms start at 3000 baht per night. They also offer large adjoining rooms sold as
suites, but chances are you won't be taking the wife and kids on your Bangkok ladyboy trip.

My room was a Grand Executive (club level room) located on the top 18th floor.

The bed was a tad soft for my taste, but I like rock-hard mattresses so I suspect most people will find them perfectly suitable.

A desk with good lighting will allow you to perform work efficiently.

The minibar. The Grand Swiss provides free bottled water to guests in the bathroom. However, the Evian bottled water pictured on top of
the minibar will cost you. More than once, a ladyboy mindlessly opened one of these instead of one of the free bottles and it cost me a
ridiculous 170 baht every time they did. I ended up hiding them on a shelf from the girls and telling them to open a free bottle.
Everything else in the minibar was reasonably priced by minibar standards, including the hooch.

The bathroom. Not much to say about this. The shower offers both rainshower head and hand held shower head. It also easily accomodates
2 people, allowing you to have some fun with your girl while getting clean. The only downside was a lack of adequate lighting, due to energy
saving priorities. The Grand Swiss isn't the only hotel that has this shortcoming. It seems like they all do these days.

Staying in a club room will give you exclusive access to Grand Swiss' rooftop lounge, the 180 Lounge. It can be found by walking up a flight of
stairs on the 18th floor. This place turned out to be far and away my favorite part about staying at the Grand Swiss. The 180 Lounge offers
complimentary booze from 5:30 to 7:00 every night, as well as snacks and assorted goodies throughout the day. The best part is the outdoor
seating area, which offers terrific views of Bangkok and was a fine place to watch the sunset. I took several ladyboys up here for drinks both
before and after fun in bed, and every girl absolutely loved it such as Bee from Fairy Bar.

After drinks at the 180 Lounge Bee tried out the bed with me for longtime fun. Grand Swiss welcomes ladyboys. NOTE: Not once did the front desk
call to verify with me when girls left to collect their IDs before leaving, which somewhat defeats the purpose of taking their IDs in the
first place. This isn't a big deal unless you bring back a freelancer to stay in your room. I am sure the front desk will call if you request
    they do so.

In conclusion, I recommend the Grand Swiss. It's location close to mongering grounds as well as restaurants and bars is a winner. The moderate
rates offer great bang-for-the-buck results. I am sure I will be staying here again on future visits. Thanks for reading my review. Any thoughts and
    comments are welcomed.

the price may have gone up 20 or 30 baht but still an easy location as most P4P girls know it, the room is OK, good water pressure and hot water for a ST hotel, the coffee shop TH food is OK (do not order Farang food there), and its 5 minutes form NEP.

    the hotel:

the chair (found only in ground floor rooms on the right side of the hotel as you face it from the entrance):

For the little price it charges I will do a 10hr lay over at Nana hotel... do not care if they charge the full night, when it is appr 1500b. a night... it can't go wrong and it is in center of the action for anything one wants to do..
no need to be specific where it is... anyone in the business knows it

I have been eating and drinking at this bar for so many years i forgot how many.

It's good if you are picky with your breakfast, as I don't eat eggs or mushrooms. They have a build you're own menu, so you can pick what you want for breakfast.

The steak & Kidney pie is massive. i aways stop here for Sunday lunch as well and the coffee is Bon Cafe so which I like. Last trip i had the Pork for Sunday lunch pic included plus two of the steak menu & Sunday lunch menu.

Also very good to watch sport. Though was in there when England got knocked out of the Worl Cup by Germany in 2010, but watched City beat Sunderland to win the Charity Shield in March 2014

I stood there for three nights last may. I booked a "Standard Double Room with window" by email. They asked me to give them a CC-number but I declined this. because I don't like to send my number by an unsecured email. They accept this and still reserved the room . The room rate was 1279 THB/night. The rooms are looking used but they are clean.

Last trip in October 2014 I went in to Q Bar to meet my mate from Oldham, he as lived in Bangkok around 11 years or so now. We stayed in Q Bar for a couple of hours and their where quite a few people in that night though it was a weekend.

Passed by it a fair few times over the last few weeks and noticed it had changed its name to The District

    Sucking Cock,
    Eating Pussy
and having Thai food.....perfect day in LOS !

Heres my favourites, depending what I feel like at the time....

    Pad Thai
If you have never been to Pad Thai Pra Dtoo Pee (Gate of the Ghosts), you have NEVER eaten Pad Thai. This place is famous amongst Thais, unknown by farangs....thank me later ! Head up to Kao San Road area and then ask taxi driver to take to you to Pra Dtoo Pee. Amazing. Its just a row of 4-5 little restuarant/cafes/eateries. Head over to 7-11 to buy beer if you like and drink it in the cafe, else they will serve you soft drinks.
40 baht without prawn, 60 with prawns. Served with omlette wrap around it.

Pla Sam Rod (Deep fried fish with 3-herb sauce - very similar to sweet chilli sauce with deeper taste)

Gwi-tee-ow Tom Yum (Noodle soup with Tom Yum flavour)
    Great hangover pick-me-up.

    MK Restaurants
Great hot-pot food with lovely spicy/savoury sauce. Cheap as feck. Thai's love this place. Their duck is lovely.

Soi 4 (or anywhere!) meat sticks.
lovely pork with pineapple and chilli stick my favourite.

Mango and Sticky Rice (Kaow nee-oo ma moo-ung)
A must if you have never tried !! Red bull on a plate

You will love the A380 bar.

My last flight to BKK was on one of those planes, and that bar was wild and loud over a 12 hour flight. Emirates also doesn't have a problem with passengers mixing their
own drinks back there, like a Pakastani guy was doing on my flight. He was pouring tumblers filled to the top with Johnie Walker Double Black and serving them
to the rest of us, and the girls didn't say a word about it. You want to avoid having a seat in the smaller rear business cabin because the noise coming out
of the bar is loud and constant throughout the flight. Sit in the larger forward cabin.

The business lounge in Dubai is good and very large, and when you fly back home the Emirates lounge at BKK airport is truly outstanding. I am flying them again
to Bangkok next month and can't wait. It's a great way to kick off your trip and will get you into the swing of things.

    Annual Update

I still have acute HBV it will never be cured but so what, to be honest I feel no different now as I did before it was diagnosed, being tired is down to the fact I am an old fart now and working 84 hours a week is a young mans game, sad cunt ain't I?

If I was to follow medical advice I would have died by boredom by now, "STOP DRINKING" fuck off, if I want to cane 3 bottles of Vodka over a weekend it is up to me, the two cases of beer are just incidental, Northern Vietnam close to the Chinese Border is not a hotbed of excitement but the $ is Good, haha

Biggest problem with HBV is foreign nations perception of it and not issuing Work Permits / Residency Cards hence the reason I end up working in Vietnam at least the commies still love me haha.

I was there for two weeks at the beginning of May and the construction was just far away enough to not be a disturbance.

I included a bunch of general room photos at the start of this topic, but here are a few more photos of the contents of the room.

You will notice there are two aircon units, one right above the bed and one in a grill up high towards the front door. There is a sliding door between the bedroom and the aircon unit near the front door. So at night you can leave the one outside the bedroom on and close the sliding door to whatever degree is comfortable, this keeps the room cool without actually having to leave the aircon unit in the bedroom on.

I have included a laundry list, but I never used it, instead I used this place (60bt / KG and was excellent service):

    http://www.bangkokladyboys.net/forum/index.php?/topic/6230-24-hour-laundry-in-nana-soi-4/&do=findComment&comment=65452

Regarding guest/ladyboy friendly, I took a ladyboy LT everynight and there was no charge except when I had two stay overnight LT, then there was a 1000bt charge for the second guest (clearly stated on a sign at reception).

The final picture is of Jersey Pub, which is on the corner between soi 6 and soi 4, it is just a regular gg bar but I found it a great place to take my ladyboy guests to for a drink and a game of pool. The girls in there spoke good English and were always friendly and chatty to my guests, it also has an ajoining door with the restaurant that sits behind on soi 4 so you can always order good food.
