It's worth a try . All I wanted was a bit of fat food before I started on the beers watching the football at 9pm . Service was alright not slow and the place was bit empty so I got everything done no hassle .

Double decker burger was very filling and great value . Definitely would return here for some pub grub

I really like this hotel . Was my first in Bangkok but I must admit the most cleanest hotel I've ever stay in Thailand . Check in was tiny bit slow filling paperwork but I did get some free welcome drink not sure if there was any booze in it . I booked iconic room with agoda The room was bit small to what I'm used too but the bed was fine and the shower was clean . On the 6th floor can be a bit slippery during the day as you have to walk outside to connect to the rooms . Breakfast was alright as being jet lagged I was still waking up way too early so by 7am I had pretty much to buffet to myself . I did find going later the food was bit more stale so I was more into going early then trying to get some more sleep after breakfast . They would change up the set up every two days and I did not ask if they had a egg station as basicly i just had scrambled eggs nest to the chicken/american sausages . The pool was ok but just my luck quite a few americans staying there so I had no sunbed for most part of the days . Great view and with the iconic you get free tapas ( chips) with a choice of 3 cocktails my advice would be go for purple margita as it was spot on . you can also exchange it for soft drinks and its only available from 4pm to 8pm . small gym but pretty much empty . I got 2 bts day pass which they explains to me how to you which was easy . The golf cart would only take you to the end of the road . Easy 5 min walk to nana if you cut through anna massage roja hotel car park . Ladyboys was fine checking in and they would ring your room when they was checking out . I really did not enjoy the taxis drivers around the area but I suppose it's a thing you get used too in Bangkok On the plus side at night you can see your darling having a shower with the lights settings but this can lead to them seeing you take a shit during the night I would stay here again .

Check the hotels reviews on breakfast . From my experience with 3 star hotels in thailand the breakfast is normally ok enough to a fill a gap. My hotel come with breakfast so as it's my first time in BKK best to start day 1 eating there . Then i you don't like plenty of other places to go for breakfast

It's not really free it's just a little extra for the room you paying for One thing with hotel breakfast they finish early like 10:30am and if you had a late night we might like to have a layin Or if I'm staying at the same hotel I might just wanna change and fancy something else . Can't beat a good old fry up to cure the hangover .

Basically it's going to be a coin toss on the day to get a taxi or the train . Just hope I get a friendly staff member as the last one was bit too much in a rush while the first one I had was really helpful . Speaking of traffic is it better to leave my hotel earlier as I was thinking checking out at 12pm but now it might seem better to order my taxi 10-11am on a weekday as I'm travelling to Pattaya so I was thinking using meow or tans taxi are my normally drivers . I have got large suitcase and messenger bag with me ( I'm 30 and fit ). So would the train won't be too busy mind day ? Looking at the map I would have to change at Phaya Thai then get off at Phloen Chit

I always book BFS fast track when arriving at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport and normally have a preorder private taxi waiting for me outside to Pattaya . This time I'm going to Bangkok first Now I was just wondering how much was AOT limousine service they provider BFS as there no price on their page . I'm Staying at Soi 2 Hotel Icon . And I my flight lands 12:30pm I don't manage to get any sleep on my 16 hour flight so I just wanna do the fast way to the hotel so I can relax get a bit of sleep and be fresh for the evening time . I don't mind paying up to 800 baht but not anything more than that. Cheers

Three of my favourites was Noodles soup with chicken or pork ( I have forgot the real name of it but was my first ever thai dish which I enjoy so much ) I've put two pictures of it. Pad thai for breakfast was on my second trip in my hotel nearly everyday was always top notch My third was a surprise but I really like spicy chicken feet soup
