    • Thought it'd be fun to draw on the vast knowledge of the forum and get people to list 3 places they like to eat and what dishes they would get there (feel free to list more than 3, I'd love to get a list going) I'll start: 1. Damrongruk Noodles (https://maps.app.goo.gl/cNQPebYhJbWVyjd78) I get the "Black Soup Beef Noodles" and add the pork crackling packets to it, I believe the noodles I get are vermicelli noodles. They also have free tea you can fill up on at the table. The owners don't speak English but I've always gotten by through pointing or having one of the locals help me out haha. I ran into this place while walking towards MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) awesome place if you've never been, well worth checking out. 2. Krua Khun Puk (https://maps.app.goo.gl/X3V6Rt6baXoF3QK29) I feel like this is like THE no.1 spot for Bangkok degenerates to go get a food, very convenient opening hours if you're out late. I get Grilled Pork Neck, Clear Pork Soup and Som Tum. The amount of times that I've gotten these 3 together over and over again, embarrassed to say, considering I always like to pretend I go to Thailand mainly for the food. I wash the meal down with a nice Iced Lemon Tea, ooo baby. 3. Mango Tree (https://maps.app.goo.gl/htDRWhTP82ShQth17) I REALLY liked the Green Mango Som Tum they did here, the Chicken Cashew was really nice. This place is definitely pricey but I really liked the decor, food was delicious and staff were lovely. Definitely a place I would go to if I didn't care about spending a bit extra and enjoying myself to the fullest.   Honourable mention goes to Mook Restaurant (https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZACF1xQfnsvdqE918) I just really liked the location and the laidback nature of the place, Thai tea was great here.
    • Did somebody go to SeenSpace on Thon Lor? Is it worth to go there?
    • So, as I'm presently at the Mercure I wanted to give a follow up to the laundry shop across the road in Cindy’s alley The lady at the counter has not been there long but her English is nearly perfect. I learnt that she had been in New Zealand for 15 years until she parted with her husband. She takes your laundry and is very careful to be sure of your laundry care, not just give a ticket and say come back later. I would definitely reccomended this place.
    • Another good steak house with more reasonable prices is El Toro (Argentinian / Brazilian) opposite Emsphere. I haven't had their steaks but went there for their Churrasco. They had a deal for 1000 Baht for as much as you can eat meat (2 hour limit). The meat is excellent and the grilled pinapple is worth going back for. They still got this deal going on now in October 2026  - 50% off Churrasco - anytime - lunch or dinner - need to make reservation to get the deal Churrasco Standard Adult: 990++ (normally 1,980++) per person. Final price 1,165 net. https://eltoroasia.com/promotions/
    • I fully agree with you @sydney69er ... the steaks at El Gaucho are delicious, absolutely true! But the price they charge is simply over the top!  I had similar steaks at f.e. Wine Connection in Soi 11, which were great as well, also not cheap as a Pad Thai, but much more reasonable priced than El Gaucho!
