mangatanga 181 #26 Posted February 11, 2019 You are right Mardhi, I just confirmed your comment with Dynasty Grande. It’s a 500 baht charge for the 3rd guest and every guest after that even if it’s for a short visit. And on that note, I just cancelled my reservation at DG... now communicating directly with the Citrus reservation dept about guests. Will update this thread once I find out what they say. Here’s the official response from Citrus Suites on bringing multiple short time guests to the room: For guest not stay overnight, we do not charge for your visitor. However, her ID Card or Passport is required to register at reception for our security reason only. Will now update my reservation to Citrus Suites.
mangatanga 181 #27 Posted February 17, 2019 Citrus Suites has lived up to the hype! It’s a great hotel, easy access to the NEP. The suites are massive and extremely comfortable. The staff has been absolutely professional to me and my guests. For those of you who care about the walk of shame through the lobby, it’s a mere 20 feet from the hotel entrance to the elevators. And the lobby is a ghost town after 1am. The morning buffet is a bit weak in my opinion but maybe my expectations are a bit out of scope here. Nonetheless, the buffet is sufficient. Orange juice ain’t so great. The beats restaurant is adequate as well. And I received a daily 100 baht voucher to use at the restaurant. As far as reservations are concerned, I’d recommend using their mobile site. It was cheaper compared to using a desktop browser. Interesting to see that difference. I saved 5000 baht for my 7 day stay. I booked 5 days prior to my stay. Here are some pics of my suite. 7 Ropey, ARI23, Pascal and 4 others reacted to this

The Citrus Suites 6 seen from the Styles hotel across the street.Hey Thanks.I didn’t clear cookies/cache/history on my desktop browser. But on my phone I typically private browse and I believe that clears everything when I close the app.So the other interesting piece to this is that I was quoted 25,400 baht by the reservation folks from the hotel. My own desktop browser quote from the Citrus site was 24,500 baht. A 900 baht difference and then on my mobile device my total for 7 days was 19500 Baht, inclusive of taxes and all, plus breakfast for 2, plus 100 baht voucher. So on average that’s 2,786 Baht per night or $93 USD.By the way, suite I booked was the premier executive suite that’s 52 sq. m. It’s huge. There’s also the MEMBER discount code you can use for an additional 10% off.

By the way, if you’re concerned about having to escort your guest up to your room due to the elevator key card access. I can say that I just witnessed an LB going up to her customer’s room and the hotel staff let her into the elevator. 1 Boomerang reacted to this
Thanks 3,091 #35 Posted February 18, 2019 @mangatanga Cool, thanks! B 2800 around Chinese New Year was not bad at all... Your executive suite looks good! Last year I'd stayed in a premier suite, a bit smaller (45 sq. m) than your exec room. I had issues with the shower and some noise from the street. Good for you if your room was better built and better situated than mine... Yes, the private browsing mode on your phone was probably the main reason for the rate difference... I've used "member" as promo code for the Citrus / Compass hotels too in the past but last year was also successful once with a corporate or special code (I think it was CPC or CLC or something like that - don't know if they still work or only during certain low season periods) and I got - I think - a >20% discount rate... :-)
wfkiwi69 70 #36 Posted February 20, 2019 Just finishing a 7-night stay at the Citrus Suites Soi 6. Overall, my impressions are very positive. I was upgraded to an executive suite, which is quite spacious. Lots of pictures to follow. My room was on the backside of the hotel, so virtually no noise from Soi 6. The walks from the hotel to NEP, Chaos 9 and CIB are all short and easily done. Never saw the need for a taxi, and the girls I brought back were fine with the short walk. And speaking of girls, there were no issues bringing the girls up to the room. We'd drop her ID off at the desk and hop on the elevator located directly across from the desk. The executive suite has two rooms--living room and bedroom--separated by a bathroom. Both the living and bed areas have their own AC units which are controlled with an LED touchpad. There's a door that can be closed between the living and bedroom areas. The living area has a decent LED TV, a medium-sized refrigerator, and lots of seating and lighting options. I made good use of the chairs in front of the one large mirror with a couple of the girls. The bathroom has both a shower and a tub. I had no issues with water flow or temperature with the shower. The amenities provided (shampoo/conditioner, bath gel, etc.) are basic, but I bring my own, so not a demerit as far as I'm concerned. The generously large bed was very comfortable, and I'm picky about beds. There was a second smaller LED TV in the bedroom. Again, lots of lighting options for setting the mood. Additionally, there is a desk and chair, and lots of plugs and a dedicated USB port for all the devices we bring. I often run short of plugs for my e-goodies, but not here. The view from my room (8th floor) was uninspiring, but not something I care about. I use the room for sleeping and fucking, and I'm out and about the rest of the time. The pool area on the 10th floor is small, but had the advantage of being barely used by others. There were umbrellas and lounge chairs and towels. One night my guest and I went up and jumped into the jacuzzi, having the place to ourselves. The hotel staff seemed attentive. I didn't place many demands on them, but all my requests were immediately respond to. I tipped the housekeeping staff daily and asked for extra towel...no problem. They left me 6 towels every day. I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast buffet. After having stayed at the Majestic Grande for the past 10 years, this buffet seemed fairly basic. They do have a chef making eggs to order, but the rest of the buffet is run of the mill. By my last two mornings I was heading out to have breakfast elsewhere (expensive, but the JW Marriott has a great buffet). I would happily return to this hotel. For my purposes, the location can't be beat. It's a short walk to my favorite LB shopping locations, and a quick walk to the Nana BTS station. There are some fabulous restaurants in the basement and on the 6th floor of Central Embassy, which is just a 10-15 minute walk away (if you like serious Neapolitan-style pizza, Peppina is the real deal, with 4 locations in BKK).Cheers Bwana on report & bonus of added photosSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Bwana_LB reacted to this

At the Majestic Grande, I had a couple of ladyboys who had been to my room early in my visit show up uninvited/unannounced later. Not at all cool. 1 1 Boomerang and Ropey reacted to this

ForWhat 230 #41 Posted July 11, 2019 I checked out yesterday, no worries on the guest front, just walk them straight through, nobody says anything. Will probably be my last stay there, place is overrun with Chinese families, so have kids running around everywhere.

Chinese tour groups also took over Grand Sukhumvit across from Phachara. This is first I have heard about Citrus Suites having the same fate. Arab families let their unattended children run loose in hotels at 3:00 AM or any other hour. The kids aren't loud and they don't behave badly, but it's a pain having to navigate around them in the hallways while tipsy and bringing an LB back to your room in the wee hours. Knobby 212 #44 Posted January 2, 2020 The room in the photos looks very good. If they still allow 2 guests in September then this place will be at the top of my list
ARI23 2,784 #45 Posted January 4, 2020 I am in the same kind of room as Mangatanga was in April (see pics above). Only problem is the shower. I had 2 different rooms because I asked for a quieter room - the first one was close to the lift - and each time the temperature of the water was changing all the time during the shower. Not cool. Otherwise, comfortable. Breakfast is a little weak. Many chinese people though the hotel is quiet. I have seen 2 children (we are not on the same schedule). Personally I prefer the Adelphi Suites. The design is better. In Citrus Suites the rooms are all in length. You can see it in last Mangatanga picture 1 Knobby reacted to this

But, and Mangatanga also noticed it, the breakfast is weak. For westerners especially. Few viennoiseries. Few fruits. No omelette station. It is marketed for asian people. Have you been to the Monsoon breakfast (Adelphi Suites) ? Not on the same level. Coffee (brewed) is good though and that's not common in BKK. ForWhat 230 #48 Posted January 4, 2020 I folded and stayed here again last November as I really love staying there. Got a cracking deal, had an executive suite for 1700b a night, so that thrown in with location it was a no brainer. Numerous Guests are not a problem, after 1 extremely boozy night i took 3 back from cib, the guy who covers the desk at night just smiles, no need to store id’s and straight up we went. 2 Bwana_LB and Knobby reacted to this
