I booked 8 nights at this hotel because of some of the good reports here . Booked the one bedroom suite $93au per night with breakfast . Very convenient location , well maintained rooms, large balcony with table and chairs. Would definately stay here again ( oh i didnt have a threesome but i did have 3 visitors on the one day at different times with no problems) will add some more photos later

Recently stayed here for 6 nights . Booked a corner suite , $94au per night with out breakfast . Nice room , staff ok , gurl friendly . Had a nice big free standing 2 person bathtub . Like an idiot i didn't make use of it , except for stand up work with a well known tall blonde gurl .
Fairly convenient being about 100-150 mtrs from asoke bts ( on what should be called soi21 , but has some other long thai name that i'm too lazy to look up )

I stayed in this hotel for couple of days, the room was nice and it was not to bad. The wi-fi worked fine without the problem and breakfast was good.

Staff was friendly and helpful. There was no problem bringing the lb ladies most of the night. The check the IDs at the entrance and when they leave un-attend they give us a call to check if there was any problem. It was great stay. I will stay here again for next trip,

Stayed here for two nights last week. Splashed out a bit (aud 250) because I wanted to take a girl somewhere nice. She loved it. You get a private villa with large dining area, big bedroom with day bed, walled courtyard with pool and outdoor bath. Huge bathroom. Room service food is provided by the restaurant next door. For other food options turn right out of the hotel cross over the train line and on the left past the 7-11 (there are 2 opposite each other!) is a square full of food stalls - reasonably priced and several cater to western taste. Cheap and tasty. There's not much to do in the neighbourhood but given the rain we were soon inside making our own entertainment. The tv is a samsung smart tv and has 16 channels and is a basic package. My girl conjured up some movies via her smartphone. The outdoor bath is big enough for two 😎. The staff are friendly but not super slick - they forgot to replenish tea & coffee and when I mentioned it we received enough to last a month! Check in and out was a breeze. Didn't see much of other guests, it's a great spot for a romantic break 😊. One last point - have a read of the reviews on agoda and try to imagine the sad prick malaysian guy who posts the negative review.I enjoyed it, shame about the rain but if you have solid chemistry with your lb this is a good spot to stay.

I stayed at Dawin last November for 4 nights. It's a good hotel. Newer and modern. I booked a standard room and it was spacious enough with a shower and a bathtub. Guest friendly. F/D calls your room after your friend leaves to make sure everything is OK. It's about a good 5 min brisk walk to NEP. There's a 7-11 next door for snacks, drinks, and of course, rubber . Stupid me didn't get to try the swimming pool last time, as I'm sure the girls would have loved it. I plan on booking a room again this year. I like this hotel because it's a bit a ways from all the action so I found it peaceful and quiet there.

I actually liked having the rooms separate, at night I would close the sliding door 75% and leave the outer aircon on. Now this may be complete conicidence, but I have stayed in a much cheaper place before, the kind of place where there is only a bed in a small room with a passable bathroom. I found then that in the morning (I always do LT) or when we woke up the lb would go straightaway (after anything sexual had finished). Where as I have found the couple of times I have stayed in a better place like this most of the ladyboys I took there did hang around till late afternoon the next day and they did quite often put their feet up on the sofa in the other room and watch some tv. I know some guys get wound up with ladyboys using their phone or watching tv, but I just like being around them so as long as the main business gets done I don't mind how long they want to stay in the room. But this only really works with the extra space I think.
I take your point about the door though, if they didn't have that the room would seem massive.

It's reasonable for the price...paid for bed and breakfast but never up in time for the breakfast so can't comment on the food.Took a girl back to the Nest....drinks expensive there.
One thing that got me was when cleaners came in and did the floor clean, they never seemed to get rid of the stains already on the floor when mopping ( a dry mop which seemed pointless to me) from what must have been there a while. I actually got a wet towel to see if they would clean and they did.
At end of the day, it's a casual 10 mins walk to CIB, bed is comfy and room has a safe. So if not too particular and 'snobby' it's ok. Been in a worse places with bug ridden beds and so on...rating...3 outta 5

Stayed here a few nights back recently as I wanted to be closer to the action. Was very hesitant to book this hotel as I could not (and still can not) find it on Trip Advisor, which is my most trusted companion when booking hotels. But it wasn't too bad. As usual for my reviews I will list Pro's/Con's:

    PROS:
    - Convenient location on Soi 11/1. About 300 m from the BTS station and very close to many pubs, clubs and restaurants (for watching games and eating some good grub check out Australian Bar on Soi 11).
    - Friendly staff.
    - No mention of joiner fee and night staff was hit or miss whether they were at the desk or even paying attention. No problems there.
    - Free coffee/tea in the lobby. It's a machine with three options (3 in 1 coffee, Thai Milk Tea, Hot Chocolate).
    - Clean rooms with excellent AC.
    - Flat screen TV, Free fast Wifi, lots of cable channels.
    - Budget friendly.
    - Plenty of food options within minutes of the hotel from street food to coffee shops to nice restaurants. Also both a Boots Pharmacy and Villa Market within 3 minutes walk (plus three 7/11's).

    CONS:
    - Bed was a bit too firm for my taste.
    - Shower was excellent but bathroom has awkward frosted glass walls that allows you to see someone while they are going the bathroom.
    - Only 1 movie channel (minor annoyance but after a night of partying I like to kick back and watch a flick while laying in bed)
    - Rooms on the small side.
    - All of the light switches are by the entrance, so when you have to pee in the middle of the night you have to walk to the front to turn the bathroom light on.

Overall it wasn't a bad hotel for a few nights stay most of my annoyances were minor and didnt affect my stay that much. If you can get a good deal I would recommend it to anyone looking but there are some better options in this area.

Boomerang reacted to Siam Man in Aspen Suites soi 2 (Updated 2015)
I recently stayed at Aspen Suites on Soi 2 using Qantas air points booking through Qantas Hotels. I stayed for one week and found it good for the long stay with the kitchenette and the big refrigerator. I didn't cook anything really except for using the microwave to reheat some things. My friend Steve was staying there for a month and was cooking regularly. I also saw the a BM here when I checked in on the first day. They didn't have a room ready at the early arrival from a flight from Europe. I didn't anticipate that with room sales quite down in BKK. They tried to sell me an upgrade for 700 baht a day but I decided to wait it out.

The rooms had plenty of space and closet storage with a safe inside. Bathroom was not cramped. On some days I had to ask to have my room cleaned, but they would clean it late afternoon which accommodated my LT guests. The restaurant was reasonable and had specials for Thai and western dishes. Breakfast wasn't included so I didn't try to get up for that.

They have a Tuk tuk to take you down near Sukhumvit on Soi 2. The drivers always asked where I was going like they were going to take me there, but they only take you to the turn around point. So I eventually started answering them the same place your going.

The pool was quite narrow and located on the ground floor just outside the restaraunt, which wouldn't give much privacy and would make it difficult to get a LB in for a dip I would imagine.

To cut over to Soi 4 you can cut through the rajah parking lot near Guess Bar or you can walk past Aspen Suites to Lohas Suites which has a cut through to Soi 4 which takes you out near Dawin Hotel and the closest 7/11's

Boomerang reacted to cutefarang in Thee Bangkok Hotel - Soi 20
Recently my condo has been going through a remodel, what started as a few days has turned into a few weeks (this is Thailand lol). I had been staying in a small guesthouse but that was not good for long term stay. I found this brand new hotel (rebranded/remodeled from another hotel) close by called Thee Bangkok Hotel. Normally for these reviews I list pro's and con's for the hotels I have stayed in. But for this one I can't think of a single con. So here is a list of why this might be my new favorite boutique hotel in Bangkok:

    - Two minute walk to Soi Cowboy.
    - The most comfortable bed I have slept in on this side of the world.
    - Excellent wifi connection throughout the hotel.
    - Rooms feel a lot bigger than they really are, you never feel like your staying in a 20 sqm room.
    - Air Con works almost too good
    - Amazing bathtub in the deluxe rooms/good shower in the superior rooms. Also instead of the small throwaway toiletries you normally get that have big bottles of both bath gel and shampoo and both have the look, feel and aroma of something you would buy in a specialty store.
    - Excellent staff, anytime we had a problem it was solved immediately.
    - Samsung flat screens in every room with plenty of channels
    - There was no mention of a joiner fee and no one said anything when I brought a girl back.
    - Excellent location. 5 minute walk to BTS/Terminal 21.
    - Good food options right outside the hotel (Excellent street noodles, Scoozi and Belicoso Pizza, German Pub).
    - Family Mart (like 7/11) right across the street
    - Great deals on Agoda, I talked to the hotel directly and got a really good deal for a 2 week stay. The staff goes above and beyond to satisfy you.
    - Seems to be a hotel geared more towards adults, in my time here I have seen no kids.

There you have it, if you want to be close enough to the action but in a safe quiet neighborhood I can't recommend this hotel enough. The only downside is there is no swimming pool, but they do have a small fitness room.

Stayed two nights at Da Bed Hotel on my last trip. To summarize I would say it delivers what I expected in this price range. Walk in price was 800 when staying for two nights, probably negotiable if staying longer. On agoda price seems to be 850.

    http://www.agoda.com/da-bed-hotel/hotel/bangkok-th.html

Location close to the action: Walk down soi 4 and turn left into the alley opposite to the Ratcha parking entrance. The hotel is located on the left side at the end of that alley.

Small room. No safe in room. Old small TV, never used it but it probably works. Not the most comfortable bed but I have slept in worse. AC and hot water in shower was OK. Friendly staff and of course there is no problem bringing a guest for the night.

If you're on a tight budget this could be an option with good location.

I went there feeling pretty hungry after a big night prior . I am a bit fond of club sandwiches and going by the size of meals i had at others places , i ordered 2 x club sandwiches . The waitress enquired if i had a friend coming , for which i replied no. Well she got a funny look on her face and became a little awkward . She said " you sure sir" . Yes i replied . Well i could hear bit of giggling and babble in thai and didnt really think anything of it.Well out came two huge plates of chips and salad and large sandwiches on both, other staff came out just to see my reaction . They all started laughing at the surprised reaction on my face i guess , along with some farang adjacent .
My pride was telling me , you gotta eat all this now 555 . I couldnt go close , just tried to eat enough to thin it out on both plates.
I could hardly walk i was that bloated as made my way back up soi 11 to sukhumvit .
