I've stayed here before maybe 18 months ago. Decent price for the location, rooms are fine for bringing guests back, it's often used as ST location, so very much guest friendly. Decent enough pool on the roof. I spent some time during the days on a lounger by to pool working from my laptop, much nicer than working from my room. You'll find a selection of LBs directly out front in the evening looking for business, and there is the famous Thermae Bar directly below if you want some GG action. LBs are not allowed in the bar, hence they tend to gather out front. Very close to CiB 10 too, and a relatively short walk past the throngs of "Wassup bro, want some stuff?" guys to the rest of our bars. And of course loads more choice in both directions along Sukhumvit.

What’s the experience here? Is it next to the meet mart? What’s the rate going in the bar?
The next question is that get some from Chaos to a hotel. Any good hotels around? I don’t mean Marriot or the residences the Middle East families stay.
thank you -

Probably had more meals at the Swan than any other restaurant in Bangers.......not just the convenience but the kitchen is open and you can see your food cooked fresh. The Thai fishcakes there are excellent as are the Spring rolls, moving on to mains then as @SAGuy mentions the Thai curries are reall good as are the stir fries. If you want to avoid spicy food but eat Thai, then you can't go wrong with Pad Thai or fried rice. -
Cheers SAG, DB & Genghis for the quick reply (no one really reads below the “line” much on here ) but the response is appreciated. To be fair I didn’t read the Google reviews (too lazy Sin City has ruined me now). I don’t mind the three c’s as long as it adds a t - all good. DB Sin City is still finally deciding to let me come home (I think) so I will be in BKK tomorrow night and final night Thursday - a WN run (with a legendary BM ) after Swan sounds fun, will PM you after the ride up (if your available of course) I have eaten at Krua Khun Puk before and was satisfied, so I know I am in my zone. i will give my report after as well. Cheers w

As SAGuy said it's cheap and consistently good. Don't expect it to be the best Thai food around in Bangkok but it's perfectly located and priced for a night mongering on that side of Sukhumvit. I'd say that it's a similar level for price and reliably good food to Krua Khun Puk on the corner of Sois 11 and 11/1 which would make for a solid and convenient option if heading to the Soi 11 bars or staggering back to the hotel afterwards as it's open very late.
