  1. It’s not Christmas but I had the Sunday Roast today at The Red Lion. Chose the Roast Lamb option (NZ lamb). everyone always says my Mum or Dad does the best Sunday Roast, in my case my Dad but “wow” The Red Lion got close. Plate was huge and I got beaten, just in the end. Lamb was delicious, roasted veggies mostly too my liking. Dear old Dad probably got them on the veggies. price 429 baht. That’s about $18 in my currency AUD. In Australia compared would be about $35-$40 AUD at a pub near me. Would I repeat - yes I had never been into the Red Lion before but will make it a stop again if not just to give the roast another go. PS baht Buster breakfast 150baht as mentioned previously on this thread is still there. Cheers W

    Hotel prices

Hi Nick, any on ground reviews on Nysa? Have just booked for a few weeks time two nights only. Walk to CIB 11 & Cindy looks acceptable, a bit further for the others. reviews look good. Booked higher price room as look better and never book the dog box size. W

    The Swan - Soi 4

Cheers SAG, DB & Genghis for the quick reply (no one really reads below the “line” much on here ) but the response is appreciated. To be fair I didn’t read the Google reviews (too lazy Sin City has ruined me now). I don’t mind the three c’s as long as it adds a t - all good. DB Sin City is still finally deciding to let me come home (I think) so I will be in BKK tomorrow night and final night Thursday - a WN run (with a legendary BM ) after Swan sounds fun, will PM you after the ride up (if your available of course) I have eaten at Krua Khun Puk before and was satisfied, so I know I am in my zone. i will give my report after as well. Cheers w
  4. I searched and could only find this restaurant named in reports with no dedicated topic (if there is it’s more than 10 yo) but it is mentioned a lot in BM’s daily “grind” reports as the “fuel up” place for starting the night. Confused - Google Reviews rates a 3.9? Wow being so popular with BM’s and Thai’s seems confusing. Anyway, I am staying at Citrus just around the corner tomorrow so wanted to know any recommend dish, I don’t mind some spicy “little bit” but it’s close convenient and seems popular on this forum, so was just after some recommendations or general knowledge it’s ok. cheers W

    Landmark or Adelphi Suites

I am late to this party but currently staying at Adelphi Suites first time off recommendation from BM’s on this site.. Can’t compare Landmark as never stayed. I can’t fault Adelphi for now - good service nothing is a problem, room I am is one bedroom suite. Good layout, no balcony ( hard to find in Suk in Bkk) my preference though, many power points that all work including next to the bed, hot water showers and good water pressure all good, no issue with LB or Gg visitor with no cost, pool is small but ok but as stated above the construction has started next door (ground zero) so unless your preference is to wake up to loud drilling, jack hammering etc with a solid hangover headache best to avoid for near to medium future as looks to be a big long construction but thats not Adelphi’s fault. cheers W
