Don Mueang Fast Track Immigration

Recommended Posts

Will be landing at DM from KL in April. Anyone fast tracked through there lately? Looking for recommendations and approximate cost.

I have a visa type that allows me to use the fast track lanes but as often as not, the fast track lane at DMK is as long or longer than going through the public lanes, because there is typically only one lane open and they divert all the monks, elderly, families with young kids etc into that lane along with the elite/business/diplomatic travelers.

I find the most significant wait time can be for the taxi, so if your ticket number is too far back, head upstairs and hail a cab from departure area.

I'm flying into Don Mueang mid september on a Friday evening (flying in from MY). What kind of wait times at imigration can I expect? When I flew into DMK seven years ago, I used the Bangkok Limo fast track service which got me through super quick, while there were considerable lines through the normal queues, so I can always book with them if long wait times are to be expected.

Just arrived in Bkk today. went through the "new" fast track lane. Waited 30 secs to get to an officer.  3 booths open. Took the train and BTS to Nana and arrived hotel within 90 mins on landing. Heard getting taxis are a nightmare there!!

Never had to wait for a taxi at DMK. Have flown in there many times.

My regular flight into DMK it was always evening (9-ish). It never took me long to through Customs, get the bags and buy a simcard.

Most of the time it didn't take long to be assigned a taxi also. But as said it is in the evening so no idea how it is in daytime.

Better keep using BBK @CJ-BLF. It's the official IATA code for Suvarnabhumi. The code used by the  International Civil Aviation Organization is VTBS.

Not sure where @hock19 got SVK from, but according to the IATA list, it doesn't exist! Is there another system to identify airports ?

None that will find the runway on your GPS.

Last time I was at BKK in June I got a Grab which came within a few minutes. Has this got harder now?

I looked up SVK airport code. It's a small and privately owned landing strip with a gravel surface located in Belize.

If we connect the dots, it's reasonable to conclude that it's owned by a Central American drug lord and that the immigration process entails talking your way past a guy pointing an AK-47 at your head while threatening to work you over with a blow torch if he doesn't like your answers.

takes around 10-15 minutes to get one, quite long queues as many Asian visitors are using Grab,  if you want to win a couple of minutes go to the Grab pick up point, and from there move against the queue of cars until you reach the split, easier for you and the driver, take a picture of where you are and he can also skip the queue

Thanks for the advice! Might just order my Grab once my case comes off the carousel just to buy a little bit of time.
