sohappy111 80 #26 Posted December 4, 2014 This is not Phachara Suits, or is it? If not Phachara, what hotel is this. Thanks in advance for reply. I booked 8 nights at this hotel because of some of the good reports here . Booked the one bedroom suite $93au per night with breakfast . Very convenient location , well maintained rooms, large balcony with table and chairs. Would definately stay here again ( oh i didnt have a threesome but i did have 3 visitors on the one day at different times with no problems) will add some more photos later

Youngone 2,258 #33 Posted December 4, 2014 The photo is taken from the front of phachara suites looking over at the adelphi The Adelphi is in soi 8, the hotel in the picture opposite Phachara is the Dynasty Grande On another note, last monh I noticed construction has started on that vacant lot of land next to soi 6. The Phachara sits more or less at the back of that, any noise issues due to construction?

jeimii 193 #37 Posted May 18, 2015 On another note, last monh I noticed construction has started on that vacant lot of land next to soi 6. The Phachara sits more or less at the back of that, any noise issues due to construction? I was there for two weeks at the beginning of May and the construction was just far away enough to not be a disturbance. I included a bunch of general room photos at the start of this topic, but here are a few more photos of the contents of the room. You will notice there are two aircon units, one right above the bed and one in a grill up high towards the front door. There is a sliding door between the bedroom and the aircon unit near the front door. So at night you can leave the one outside the bedroom on and close the sliding door to whatever degree is comfortable, this keeps the room cool without actually having to leave the aircon unit in the bedroom on. I have included a laundry list, but I never used it, instead I used this place (60bt / KG and was excellent service): http://www.bangkokladyboys.net/forum/index.php?/topic/6230-24-hour-laundry-in-nana-soi-4/&do=findComment&comment=65452 Regarding guest/ladyboy friendly, I took a ladyboy LT everynight and there was no charge except when I had two stay overnight LT, then there was a 1000bt charge for the second guest (clearly stated on a sign at reception). The final picture is of Jersey Pub, which is on the corner between soi 6 and soi 4, it is just a regular gg bar but I found it a great place to take my ladyboy guests to for a drink and a game of pool. The girls in there spoke good English and were always friendly and chatty to my guests, it also has an ajoining door with the restaurant that sits behind on soi 4 so you can always order good food. 3 moderation, oliver17 and Youngone reacted to this
Kathoey_Hunter 2 #38 Posted June 12, 2015 (edited) Thanks Jeimii I am aware that 2 overnight will bring a 1000 baht charge and never had a problem with that. My issue is with the fact I brought 2 at separate times in one day with neither staying overnight and being charged 1000. This is what put me off them. Anyway I sent them an email and they answered with the more than 1 overnight having a charge of 1000 per person which I knew already so went back to them now and asked specifically what about those that do not stay overnight but only for a few hours. We will see what they say when they reply Edited June 12, 2015 by Kathoey_Hunter
Kathoey_Hunter 2 #39 Posted June 14, 2015 Reply was vague again and since I gave the scenario can I bring 1 visitor short time (not overnight) and another LT (overnight) and still no charge please confirm there has been no reply. Also another mate stayed in September 2014 and took a girl ST then another LT and they charged him as well. As it is my favourite hotel I might just book again to see but ask at reception and if they are charging just use ST rooms as cheaper.
Kathoey_Hunter 2 #40 Posted June 19, 2015 Alright I finally got an answer from them and it is as follows: The 1st person , she will stay overnight or stay only 1 hour , FREE The 2nd person up , She coming to your room will stay overnight or stay only 30 minutes will be charge THB 1,000 net per person per day. A real shame as I love this hotel. At least now I know this is indeed their policy and I wasn't scammed last time I was there. If I ever do stay there again I will use short time rooms during the day and evening for my short times and only take back whoever will be staying LT with me back to Pachara. oliver17 10,613 #41 Posted June 19, 2015 I stayed there in January / early February 2015, I took 2 LBs for separate sessions on several nights. They never said anything about it, nor charged me for it. Some days I would take GGs there during the day and then ladyboys at night. Nothing happened and no charges for anything. I also stayed there in 2014 and there were also no extra guest charges of any kind. I too had heard about this 1k baht fee for extra sessions last year, emailed them and got the same reply you received about 1k baht fee for second girl. Sometimes the "official" policy and what actually occurs in practice are not the same. Others may have had a different experience than me, however.

I never had this issue with them until March 2014 and I had previously stayed there in March, April and December 2013 But as security run to make you sign for any Thai accompanying you into the hotel then I cannot understand how you got off with no charges unless you maybe somehow avoided signing them in? Like I said a shame as it is my favourite hotel in BKK especially because of the location
oliver17 10,613 #43 Posted June 19, 2015 No, they signed everybody in who I took into my room. They just didn't charge me anything extra when I checked out, and they never mentioned anything to me while staying there that there were guest fees. As said before, their email to me discussed 1k baht for more than one episode per night but they didn't follow through with any charges when I stayed there. If you read through the guest policy thread from a few weeks ago, you will see that the Landmark replied that they charge 1k baht, but BMs who have stayed there say in reality they don't charge anything. In the same thread, Phachara mentions this extra guest fee as well as their policy, so their can be flexibility. Ask them about it when you check in, and then make plans accordingly. I just relate what my own experience was. You are right, it is the ideal place for Nana and the lounge bars and every ladyboy I have taken there was welcomed by their staff. I know mate hence why I said it is my favourite hotel in BKK but I cannot risk it as I have been charged before and do not want to be using short time rooms when I have a luxury hotel suite I am already paying for. Anyway prices have shot up for the period I am going so I will stay opposite Phachara at Dynasty Grande next time.
mikel 2,475 #45 Posted September 1, 2015 Booked three nights through agoda (good deal) beginning of 10 night trip in May. Chose a one bedroom suite. Very roomy with kitchenette, decent tv, comfortable furniture. Bathroom was good with good pressure and hot water. A raised tile at the bathroom door can be an annoying trip hazard but you learn fast! The reason I got such a good deal was that the balcony was filled with an air conditioning unit so was useless. Recommended for a long stay if you get a balcony. Food ok. Staff excellent. No problem with lb's. Check in was slow (I expect this now and zone out) with a lot of paper shuffling and quizzical looks at folders. Warning - don't sit in the ludicrously uncomfortable chairs in front of the desk. Free computer in the lobby. Good location - close to the action but quiet. Decent laundry service - turn left at the front door and you'll find it in the small soi just past the bend in the road. Follow soi 6 up to Suk and you're at Nana bts. 3 OneTrueSaxon, moderation and Jamie reacted to this
staple 406 #46 Posted October 14, 2015 Booked a one bedroom deluxe through agoda, and paid 2,700B a night. The room could use a refresh, but by no means is it a dump. It has a two burner stove, microwave, electric kettle, and a full size refrigerator. It also has all the cooking supplies you need like pots, pans, spatulas, can opener, 4 sets of silverware, 2 sets of cups, plates, mugs, bowls, etc..., and if you need anything else just call down to the front desk & they will bring it to you (i.e. rice cooker, toaster). It also has a combo washer/dryer which will come in very handy if you are staying for an extended period. There are two 36" TV's, 1 in the bedroom, 1 in the living room. The shower has both an overhead "rain" head and a handheld one, but they cannot be used at the same time. There is a bum gun. I find the bed to be a bit too soft, but I like a very firm bed so most will find it very comfortable. There is also a clock radio that actually sounds pretty good. It has an AUX cable so you can plug in any phone or MP3 player. The Wi-Fi is pretty good, and if you bring your own cat 5 cable you can plug in directly. The room safe is big enough to fit my 15" laptop, but would not be able to fit anything bigger. Like mikel stated "the balcony was filled with an air conditioning unit so was useless". The room came with breakfast included & it's very basic. I wouldn't pay anything extra for the breakfast, but if I'm awake when it's open (6:30 - 10:30) I'll grab something. It's a very short walk to NEP, CIB, & Nana BTS, but it's still very quite. The staff is very friendly, and have no problem with LB's. The only bummer is there is a 1000B fee if you bring more than one guest per day. I already knew about this because of the useful info on this forum, but I claimed ignorance when I brought back two guests and they let it slide the first time. It turns out that it was not how i wish. Thanks for the review... Have you found an alternative to the Phachara for a long term stay?
