You can only do one or the other. Of course, there are splitter adapters available allowing you to listen and charge at the same time. The one I saw was a Belkin model for an obscene $39. I think I will pass on that. I am also not interested in investing in wireless headphones right now.

The adapter that comes with the phone works fine. You cannot discern any difference in headphone sound while using it.

Mine arrived yesterday. I upgraded from a 6s. The 7 has a matte black finish. I think it looks pretty sharp. The hoo-haw about the home button radically changing seems to be total BS. It still functions pretty much the same way as previous versions with fingerprint activation, but still needs to be pressed to move between apps. I can't tell any difference myself.

The thing you notice immediately is the improved display. it's much brighter with more vividness in the colors. I really like the display upgrade.

I was playing music on it last night and it seemed to be chewing through the battery charge at a faster clip than on my old iPhone. It does come with an adapter for your headphones to be used with the lightning jack. I haven't tried out the earbuds that came with the phone.

I took a few pics with the camera, but not enough of them to form an opinion about its abilities. It too is supposed to be an improvement from previous versions.

I haven't dropped it into water yet to see if it really is waterproof. I will take Apple's word for it.

The setup went smoothly and everything transferred from the old phone with no issues.

If you are moving up from an IPhone 5 or 6, I would recommend getting this phone. If you currently have a 6s, you should probably just save the money for your next ladyboy expedition.

this has been discussed inumerable times on the sister forum, and probably here too.

regardless of your intentions, many hotels follow the laws set down for hotels that require every guest to be registered. the number one reason is safety in case of a fire or some other calamity. this is the primary reason why most hotels ask for the "joiners" ID/TH Card.

another reason is if it is a hotel that charges a joiners fee, they want to get it.

but most importanlty, any decent hotel will take the ID so that the girl most go and retrieve it. then they will call the room to see if you know she is leaving, and if you are OK with that. this gives you a chance to check your belongings, etc and if there is anything wrong like a missing cell phone, laptop, wallet, passport, empty mini-bar, etc, they will hold her at reception for you.

they also want to make sure you are still alive and well. that may sound over the top, but too many crazy episodes over the decades with girls and guys fighting or worse.

granted, all of this negates what you are trying to accomplish.

needless to say every hotel/guesthouse is different, and they all apply the rules as they choose (or whoever is on duty chooses), and the interactoin with the staff and other guests that may be around can be aggravating if they choose to offer their opinion of your choice of partner.

when i worked the hotels in Pattaya back in the day as a department head, there was a security guard that was found to be harrassing the guests with joiners. he was not only being an impolite ass-hat, he was telling them they had to pay a joiners fee, and he would then pocket it. not only was he fired, they changed the security company soon after that.

if what you say is so

you should bite the bullet and make sure the girls register. its for your own safety, and it really can keep the crazy drunk/high thieving ones in check. most of all, it will be a great deterent to theft.

I am not flaming you here, but this sentence is confusing. If you aren't ashamed to be seen with a ladyboy, then why do you care what people say or think when you are seen with a ladyboy?

If some stranger disapproves of what you and another consenting adult are doing, that's his problem and not yours.

I have been to this show 3 times. Each time it got better, not the show, just the gurls.
First time about 3 years ago, went in had two free beers, was approached by a nice gurl for a drink at 300 bath and declined, on leaving I was charged the entry fee of 1000 + 200 service charge. I was not happy with this.
Last visit about 3 months ago was the best. When I arrived at show I was told show would start soon. Inside I was joined by a lovely lady who supplied me with much drink and very nice to chat with. Show did not start for about an hour, but sitting and chatting with a beautiful LB it did not bother me. She did request a drink at 300 Bath but was more than happy to accept a tip of 200. She was very pleasant for the time we sat together and ensured my glass was always full. She only left my side when she had to perform in show. I am sure if I made her an offer to join me at my hotel she would have accepted. My mistake not to ask.
No service charge this time, and did drink the entry fee of 1000 THB. (5 beer + 3 large whiskey)

The plan for this are already pretty advanced and by look of things will be opening quicker than anyone expected. This is what I have been told and also what some guys are trying to influence June so it works well.

The CIB building is at least 30 years old and has all the main plumbing at the back of the building. The rooms were previously rented out to Thai's in price range of 3,000-5,000b month. They were in terrible state. Floor by floor, everything is being ripped out and done again. When CIB opens it will comprise the first 2 floors (Ground and mezzanine). There are two rooms on the mezzanine which will be used for hourly rentals.

On each of the floors above, there will end up being 3 rooms and one suite. The suite takes up half the floor space and has a fully integrated bathroom with walk in shower etc. Separate bedroom then at the front is the living area with windows etc. The 3 rooms will have their own shower but not an integrated toilet within the room. Only one of these 3 rooms has a window. Two rooms are internal. The toilets are on each floor at the back of the building. As a result, the prices will be pitched accordingly. Some guys maybe OK with that, some not so cool. The plan for rooms is king size beds, powerful aircon, powerful water supply and sound proofed rooms. Beds and linen will be 100% cotton and very good quality. Prices expected to be somewhere around 800-1000 baht per night. The suites will be somewhere in the 2,500-3,000b night range and drop down the more nights you stay. i.e., this is not full service hotel, the preference is for guests to stay longer and pricing will reflect that in the suites & rooms. There will likely only be 2 suites converted, but that could increase to 4 if it is a success. It is being looked at now if the suites can create a balcony as well, no word on if this can be done.

The 1st floor (Ground, mezzanine, 1st, 2nd etc) rooms will likely be ready in September. At this stage I have no idea how bookings will be made and June is focussed on getting the bar ready first and then move onto the rooms. For guys planning trips this autumn/winter may find this useful. The rooms have their own access into the building seperate from the bar with key code access.

The 1st floor and 2nd floor are walkable easily, any higher and I can't see people walking up. There are 6 floors in total. There is no lift.

That is what I know so far.

from the moment you land at the airport, you will be under surveillance until the time that you leave LOS, and especially in the entire Nana / Sukhumvit area and in Pattaya and Phuket, whether you are on the street or in a venue. its just the way things are now.

as far as the ID check, as SheLuver states above, that is in your best interest despite it being a bit uncomfortable for those who are trying to avoid this kind of contact. hotels are required by law to know who is in the rooms at all times. the first reason is for the safety of the guests in case of a fire or another dangerous scenario. second, if a girl's ID is on record i doubt that she will try to do anything that would be a problem for you as she knows that they have her ID. this is actually a really good thing. the better run hotels will call your room when she goes to retrieve her ID and ask you to confirm that she can go and has not created any problems for you (and subsequently them).

third, as stated above, nobody is going to notice you in Nana regardless of what you are doing unless of course, you go out of your way to be conspicuous or a drunken asshole (which they seem to not notice many times).

3rd, like reviews of girls and what BMs may pay them, the price of a room for one person may be cheap and for another, it is not. given the fact that there are so many inexpensive places you should be able to find what you want. granted, tourism is down and hotel prices may reflect that in some cases, but manyTH business owners will actually raise prices in hard times thinking that the few guests they have can make up the difference.

What are You afraid Of? That somebody (Who? What does he do in The same Área ad You, full Of Hookers..) recognises You?
Dont be paranoid, Just go and hunt. Nobody will bother to look at you.

1000baht a night? Try coffee and Bean, nearly opposite hahanrans pub in soi 4, but dont expect a large room.
Nana hotel has larger rooms on 1400/1600 bahts.

Boomerang reacted to oliver17 in Sheraton Hua Hin Pranburi Villas
During my May 2016 trip, I spent 4 nights at the Sheraton Pranburi Villas outside of Hua Hin. My companion was JJ from CIB. Pranburi is about a 3 hour trip by car from Bangkok on a normal day. Regrettably, JJ and I took the trip on May 20, which turned out to be Vesak day, one of the most important Buddha days of the year. It was also a Friday afternoon, making it a big holiday weekend for Thais and the result was a very slow go to Pranburi which consumed 5 hours in the car. We did wisely use a private car service instead of a grimy and cramped BKK taxi, which made the trip a little easier.

The Sheraton Pranburi Villas are located about 20 minutes outside of Hua Hin in the sleeply little town of Pranburi. The hotel offers a scheduled shuttle van service to Hua Hin in the evenings. Taxis are not usually available at the hotel, which is a good thing because Hua-Hin's Phuket-like Taxi cartel charges about 1000 -1200 baht for a trip between the hotel and town. Use the van instead if you want to visit Hua-Hin. As for Pranburi itself, it is within walking distance from the Sheraton or you can simply take one of the mountain bikes that are available for guests to use. Am pleased to report that the mountain bikes are rock solid Treks instead of some cheapo off-brand machine.

The property is comprised of 50 detached villas. Each villa has its own private swimming pool. Also available are 2 story villas with multiple bedrooms. The villas all have high walls surrounding them which give you total privacy and seclusion from the surrounding villas. The hotels property is quite large and very quiet.

In the back of each villa is a private pool, along with lounge chairs and a cushioned pit for eating or doing whatever comes natural to you or your ladyboy.

The villas are large and well appointed. I particularly liked the in-room shower that converts to to a wet sauna with seat. Now, I have seen these gimmicky things before in hotel rooms, and they rarely work as claimed, but the Sheraton's shower / sauna gizmo tuned out to be truth in advertising. They are completely sealed and the water is very hot and generates more than enough steam to sweat out the booze and tension in your body, as good as any wet sauna in a health club. This gets an A+ from me.

The villa also has an outdoor shower if you want to bathe outdoors. There is also an outdoor sunken bathtub right outside your bedroom door (seen in 2nd pic, the tiled area in the plants). I didn't use these, but JJ bathed in them every day.

The beds are comfortable and the mosquito netting is not for decorative purposes. You can completely open the bedroom's glass walls and sleep in the fresh air if you want. That's when you want to deploy the mosquito netting, because they do come out in the evenings.

    More room details.....

If you get bored with your villa pool, you can stroll over to the hotel's infinity pool. When we there, we were the only guests using the big pool. The Sheraton also has a small restaurant and bar next to the pool. A larger bar and restaurant are located elsewhere on the property. The breakfast buffet is noteworthy, because along with a very nice spread of food, a sushi chef is also on duty to give you a sushi fix if you are in need. Typically for an isolated resort with a captive clientele, the food tends to be on the pricey side . However, the liquor prices are surprisingly very reasonable (80 baht for a Singha , 100 baht for a Heineken ).They do have 24 hour room service (the full menu ), which I found to be commendable on a property with only 50 room units.

The gym next to the big pool.

To sum up, the Sheraton Pranuburi Villas make for an excellent getaway from your BKK trip. I have been here twice with LBs, and this place has been an enormous hit with both of them. Rates run about 6000 baht per night low season and about 7000 baht per night in high season. This property does have occasional sales, and if you are not a Starwood member, it makes sense to join to get favorable rates here when you book.

Thanks for reading my review. Later on, I may post a director's cut of this review as well as pics from my earlier Pranburi trip with the other LB in the advanced section (also have video if I can figure out to post a video), but that is a couple of days away.
