I used this bus service from Swampy to Hua Hin. Pretty good service for 294B per ticket.

On the way back there was an Aussie sounding guy and his LB companion. But we didn't sit close enough to compare the girls cock sizes..hahaha

A lot of the bars in Chiang Mai sell cialis, kamagra etc, they jusy dont advertise the fact. There used to be a thai guy going round the bars during the day selling to them, he was known locally as the doctor. He died a couple of years ago, but his daughter now does the daily rounds.

flipflops reacted to Richard bkk in Hotel Guest Policies for Ladyboys
When I first started traveling to bkk for holiday from America, I too was concerned about LB hotel policy. I now live here on a retirement visa and have a better perspective of this issue. From an economic point, it only makes sense for hotels to allow LBs to their properties. 99% of hotels in the Nana area allow this. All the hotels require is for the "guest" to register at the hotel desk with their ID card. This applies to both GGs or LBs. Now that I live here, and people know me, I would not think of bringing a "guest" to my condo for fear of embarrassment by my neighbors. Accordingly, I make good use of the many "short-time" rooms in the area. Only 300 baht for up to 2 hours. No fuss no muss, and it is safer as you don't have to keep looking over your shoulder to see if your stuff isn't stolen. So my point is this: As a tourist, which many of the readers of this site are, just get a short-time room for crying out loud! What's the big deal! The real question you should be asking is where is the closest ST room to where I usually frequent.

I added 7 more hotels to the original post today.

I have several more emails out that have not yet been answered. I will give those another day or two to reply. If
they haven't responded, I will resend the requests. If they don't respond for the second email, I will post them here
as non-responsive, and guys can reach their own conclusions about their hospitality toward ladyboys.

Hard to tell which practice is more odious - the (several) hotels that charge 1K baht joiner fees, or the Ambassador's
20 baht charge to run a girl's ID thru their copier machine.

I wasn't sure where to place this thread, so it may get moved to the "Hotel Review" section. Anyhow......

A BM here recently asked about the ladyboy guest policies of a BKK hotel. This gave me the idea to email various hotels around lower Sukhumvit inquiring about their guest policies and whether ladyboys are welcome as overnight guests. The hotels I contacted are all within walking distance of Nana Plaza, CIB, Paradise bars as well as other LB venues such as Nuch Salon. I focused on hotels located on the odd number Soi side of Sukhumvit since most guys are already familiar with the policies of the hotels on the even number Soi side such as Marriott, Phachara, Heaven@4, etc.

They all received an identical email from me:

    Hello,

Can you tell me what your guest policy is? Can I have a ladyboy guest stay in my room overnight?

    Thank You,
    ******* *****

The hotels I have received replies from so far are listed in the order they responded, along with their Soi location as well as the per-night price for a standard room. I contacted places ranging from budget hotels on up to higher end properties like the Sofitel and the Westin. The replies are all verbatim. If you need clarification, their email addresses are on their websites. As they respond, I will continue to update here. I will also be emailing other hotels for the purpose of determining what their guest / ladyboy policies are as well.

flipflops reacted to Youngone in Hotel Baraquda M Gallery Pattaya (Formerly D2 Baraquada)
My last visit to Pattaya from February 19th-24th coincided with Chinese New Year and the Cobra Gold military exercises which meant that hotel availability was limited and room rates per night were insanely high. Examples: the Marriott wanted 9K Baht for a standard room, Hilton 15K Baht for a Junior Suite ( no other rooms available) and the Amari Ocean Tower was charging 10K for a Junior Suite ( no other rooms available). I scratched my head a few times at these prices, not because I cannot afford them, but because I know all these hotels well and do not think their rooms are worth that amount of money.

One has to stay somewhere though and I suddenly remembered a few very enjoyable stays I had 5-6 years ago at the D2 Baraquda so I checked the prices on their site, which to my disappointment were in line with the other hotels, 8K Baht per night for a 'Baraquda Suite' and no 'deluxe' rooms available; a notable change was that the hotel now belongs to the Accor chain and is no longer a Dusit property.I wasn't too happy about the price, which is why it took some considerable self persuasion to convince myself that a visit to Pattaya was really in order. Anyway, after convincing myself that we only live once and can't take anything with us to our graves I decided to bite the bullet and booked the room. http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-8891-hotel-baraquda-pattaya-mgallery-collection/room.shtml

First impression: The Baraquda is a boutique hotel with only 5 floors and 72 rooms which are all non-smoking. The lobby is large, well air-conditioned and staffed with very friendly bell boys and pretty receptionists who are dressed in a navy theme; I guess it's their way of wanting to look modern and trendy. Check-in was very quick and the (very) pretty girl at the reception surprised me by greeting me by my first name and telling me that she remembered me from my 3 previous stays 5 & 6 years ago. The same happened with the cleaning lady, these Thai women have elephant memories! An even prettier lady escorted me to my room whilst a bell boy was following us with my luggage. Upon entering the room the first thing I noticed was that they had switched the aircon on a few hours before, I like that!

The room: Very large, probably around 70-75m2, split between a living room and a bed room. The living room has a sofa and flat screen TV but bizarrely no coffee table. There is also a separate toilet in the living room. The bed room has a large comfy king size bed, a large Jacuzzi, a very large rain shower and separate toilet. Positives for the room are its size and a very good Nespresso coffee machine with free coffee. Negatives are the ridiculously organized light switches (to switch off the light in the bedroom you have to make your way to the main switch next to the entrance door) and the water pressure could be better. Biggest negative for me is that the bed faces the window and the curtains are not thick enough to block out the morning sunshine.

Location: Excellent! On 2nd road, right across from Soi 13/1 where you can find Stringfellows, La Bamba and The House. Central Mall and Soi Made in Thailand where 69 Bar and One Bar are located is about a 10 minute stroll, as is the soi LK Metro area. Walking Street is also about a 10 minute stroll.

Amenities: Decent sized pool which only gets sun on one side until around 3pm, the gym is small but has everything you need. They have a Spa in which they offer (overpriced) massages, no happy endings I'm afraid... The restaurant is located next to the pool and serves mainly Asian dishes of pretty good quality but again overpriced.

Complaint: AntAnt and myself departed on the same day but stayed in different hotels. I was flying to London and he was flying to Phuket around the same time of day so we decided to share a ride to the airport which I booked through the hotel. The car was a comfy brand new Toyota Camry which picked me up on time after which we picked up AntAnt in soi 10; so far so good. The driver was a young chap who did not speak a word of English but fancied himself as the Thai version of Lewis Hamilton. Once we reached the Expressway he drove at speeds of 160-170 kmh whilst talking to a buddy on his mobile, overtaking cars on the left and right, driving up behind cars in front of him to within less than 1 yard; it was insane! He seemed totally oblivious to the fact that several speed camera's are in operation along the Pattaya-Bangkok route and seemed genuinely surprised when he was pulled over at the last toll booth before the airport. He got a 500 Baht fine, but instead of learning from it he just continued with his insane driving style. I've never been so happy in my life to leave a car...

When I got to the lounge I went online and emailed the GM of the hotel about the experience. To his credit he replied with a very apologetic email within a few hours and offered me a free night for a future stay as compensation.

Bottom line: A nice property with large rooms, very friendly staff and a great location. They are guest friendly but do take visitor ID's and call you when they depart. That means you either need to escort your guest down or wait in your room for the call from security, do not do what I did and make your way to the pool as your guest leaves as they won't let her go without speaking to you. In my case a search party was organized whilst she was held by security... Would I stay again? probably yes, but not for the price they charged this time around.

    Livingroom with Nespresso coffee machine

Livingroom and sofa, no table for some strange reason

Comfy king size bed facing the window. Downside is that you can't switch off the lights from your bed area but have to make your way to the front door.

Large Jacuzzi that can fit 4 easily. I was warned by ShyguyUK that filling the Jacuzzi takes time so I tried it. He was right, it takes 45 minutes to fill up which can be a bit of a mood killer.

    Very spacious rain shower

Decent size pool with sun until about 3pm. The top floor of the building houses the 'Grand Baraquada Suite' which is a duplex apartment. I've stayed there before on a previous trip, the room is great but very noisy due to the fact that the bedroom faces 2nd road and the windows are not sound proof.

Free drink at the show. I advise to go early if you want to maximize the free grog. Early Bird show begins at 9:30 and still costs 888 baht. The show moves quickly and seems to be a little shorter. I hung around after talking with the gurls. I only bought Meoaw a drink but tipped the others 100 baht each which they were happy with. Japanese owner was away so they would rather have the cash than drink revenue for the bar.

It is the end of October and no lifts.... so I'd venture to say they have learned to live without them. As OTS said in the original post "stunning". Staff is friendly and maybe too friendly. When the girl took me to my room I really had to piss. Something was wrong with the key and we could not get in. She kept apologizing and I kept telling her to hurry.

For me there were a few drawbacks:

    1) At this price there should be coffee / tea in each room. I booked a level too low to have coffee in my room. (I paid the same price for this hotel as I did the Furama Silom.)

    2) Being in construction for years, I just had to wonder why a bathroom wall vent goes directly to the main hallway. This could be a problem after 'too mutt som tum'

    3) There should be some sort of handrails in the stairwell.

When I was being dropped off by a tuktuk around 1130pm Wednesday night, several freelance LB were a block or two away around the Starbucks.

Another hotel off the beaten path, but fairly close to Patpong. 10 minute walk maybe.

Two nights for 110USD. I booked through Agoda and this rate was not available on a single night booking. This hotel is a bit dated I suppose but still very nice. Glassed in bathrooms with shades. This bath had both a normal shower head and an over the head straight down spout. I had one LB visitor here 1.5 years ago. Max / Nikki from CL. (no one this trip) and I met her outside and walked in with her. No problems with staff. The floor plan allows you to go up the elevators without passing the front desk. Though sometimes the elevators require your room key to operate the elevator.

Small rooftop bar and pool on the 20th floor. Excellent restaurant and a free breakfast buffet. WiFi is excellent this trip, last trip it was horrible.

Not a bad place for the cost. The idea is each room has a different color on the CMYK color model. But the room is basically gray and white. There is a little write up about each room color. Mine was spring green.. a soothing color.

I had 2 rooms there. One had problems with shower drainage. The water would run over to the toilet and sink area. The drain was not clogged. The floor sloped away from the drain. Second room the key was almost impossible to wiggle out of the door lock.

A box of condoms on top of the safe in each room.

A LB from CL came over with no problem. No need to check in at the desk.

This is a good topic and I will be moving it to Health Issues section of the forum. We also have an older thread in that section dealing with Tap Water which relates to this. Tap Water

Someone told me (I sound like Fox news with no source LOL) that it's good to eat Yogurt in Thailand because it has natural enzymes and bacteria that fight the local bacteria. It made sense to me so I have picked up some when I think of it at 7/11's and family marts. Always pinch a couple when they have them at breakfast buffets at some of the hotels and throw them in the fridge.

Here is a good primer for using advanced codes with Matrix that allow you to plan routes using specific airlines or routing thru LAX or NRT or wherever:

You can't book trips with Matrix. Instead, you print up your itenarary and either give it to a travel agent or call the airline directly. There is no way for the consumer to input the all the codes into airline websites. I use Matrix for my flights, and it has always been my experience that giving the codes to a TA is easier than trying to book codes directly with the airlines. The airlines act as if you are pulling their teeth out when you read out all those booking codes to them over the phone. TA's are happy to do it for you because you have already done all the legwork for them.
