Burbrit? - if so, I really like that place. Great venue to watch sports and Otto bar only 20 yards away! -
I've never been there. Is it new? I'll definitely try it the next time I visit I love Burmese food and while I lived in BK I would seek out and try many Burmese restaurants. From the pictures it seems like Thanaka is similar to Shwe Htee which is just off of Asok - https://maps.app.goo.gl/oRitMYBCrPNgrGy66 By far my favorite is Kalyana on Ratchprarop Rd north of Central World, near the airport link railway https://maps.app.goo.gl/9dPugnADY5BcQWQ47 It's slightly more upscale compared to Thanaka and Shwe Htee with a wider variety of dishes. Best to go with a few people so you can order and sample more dishes. Amazing food.

Great recommendation. I'll try this out, thanks. Burmese food is delicious and has become a favourite of mine over the last few years and there seems to be restaurants popping up all over Bangkok, probably due to the war in Myanmar. For anyone who hasn't tried Burmese food yet, I thoroughly recommend it. I'll add a few other recommendations here after watching the football, including a Burmese craft beer bar/restaurant that could be a decent introduction to anyone curious about trying that type of food the first time.

I travel with Imodium and chewable Pepto-Bismol, and as pointed out above, try not to use them for day or two. I had real bad diarrhea on a trip to the Philippines, and there was a Dr. on the team. He said, try not to take anything for a day or two, your body is trying to get ride of something, so let it. He said stay hydrated and try plain crackers.
