There is a good ST hotel right to the left of the entrance to Soi Cowboy, just walk up a pair of stairs and there is the reception. 

It’s a business hotel with lots of conferences going on. 
The mall is good and they have a good food court and a Tops Grocery store in the basement. It’s connected to The Union Mall by skywalk. From Haek Ladprao bts to nana it takes an average of about 20 to 23 mins. 
It’s certainly is not for mongering.
