Great recommendation. I'll try this out, thanks. Burmese food is delicious and has become a favourite of mine over the last few years and there seems to be restaurants popping up all over Bangkok, probably due to the war in Myanmar. For anyone who hasn't tried Burmese food yet, I thoroughly recommend it. I'll add a few other recommendations here after watching the football, including a Burmese craft beer bar/restaurant that could be a decent introduction to anyone curious about trying that type of food the first time.

I travel with Imodium and chewable Pepto-Bismol, and as pointed out above, try not to use them for day or two. I had real bad diarrhea on a trip to the Philippines, and there was a Dr. on the team. He said, try not to take anything for a day or two, your body is trying to get ride of something, so let it. He said stay hydrated and try plain crackers. -

I found a little hidden gem right at the end of Soi 1 Suk - Thanaka Myanmar Restaurant. A very basic restaurant quite busy with local Burmese. This was my first time trying Burmese food and I was blown away with the flavours. And this place is a 'cheap eats'. I just had the Chicken Curry (110B), 20B for rice, comes with a nice chicken soup. Wow. I think it was so different from Thai food. Not close to anything I've eaten before. The evil looking curry sauce is spicy but not overpowering, so you still get a hit from all the different flavours - garlic, ginger, lemongrass and whatever they put in it. Best thing about this place is it's only 90 Baht for a large Singha. I'm going back for more! -
Last 2 times I struggled to eat anything other than toast and brought real food back in over a few days.

I have used antibiotics both times previously as 2 days and imodium were just not doing the job, what I hope to be able to do is avoid the symptoms from day 1
