Thanks for your feedback. I read somewhere online that there are now many hotels that are generally smoke-free, regardless of whether they have balconies or not. I’m going to try my luck, though. The idea of having a cute ladyboy with a view of Benjakitti right in my room is just too tempting to pass up—I’d rather not look for another hotel :-)

Dear forum members, I’m traveling to Thailand in early October, primarily to get some dental work done, but also, of course, to meet ladyboys. I booked the balcony suite with a view of the lake. But now, after the fact, I’ve read that smoking is supposedly prohibited, even on the balcony. Has anyone had any experience with this and can clarify the situation for me?
