Shama serviced apartments - Soi 2

Recommended Posts

I noticed the sign for this place on street view so I had a look at their website : http://www.shama.com/sukhumvit/

The location is on the same street as the Majestic Grande but closer towards Sukhumvit.

The rooms look nice and are priced well compared to some I have looked at. At the moment a one bedroom apartment (66 square metres) costs AUD$86/ $101 night. When you compare that price with Majestic and take into account the better pool, gym and bigger room with kitchen this place starts looking pretty good IMO.

Yes ,, its certainly well located . Looked at it a few times . The deal breaker was , it was about $120 when i have looked . $86 is a bargain :)

Ah. I was looking at the price before taxes etc.

Total in Aussie for a two week stay is $1409 (41,641 Baht) so $100/night.

I stayed there once a few years back when they had just opened. Good sized rooms in a good location and definitely guest friendly, but for me there were 2 negatives which have prevented me from staying there again: the wifi was very slow and the TV channels were aimed at an Arab audience which is understandable as the majority of guests were from that part of the world at the time, but left me only with CNN & BBC. Maybe these things have changed now though...

When I posted this topic I didn't realize there is an entrance on Soi 4 too.

Very handy being about to use both soi 2 and 4.

the wifi was very slow

I have been following the recent reviews on trip advisor and unfortunately they still haven't fixed the wireless as others were having the same problem.
