Siam Man 2,298 #1 Posted January 9, 2013 World Inn Price: $25 AUD for one night. I've seen this place on Agoda for as low as $22. Since I was getting in late and only staying one night before heading to Patts, I decided to try this place. For those on the tighter budget this may work out for you. I would say it's just a step above a guest house. It's pretty simple, a little older building. I think they have rooms on both sides of Soi 7/1. I took this photo from my window. The toilet/shower area was clean and the fixtures weren't antiquated. More spacious than many higher priced hotels I've stayed at. That open view shower was a big bonus I didn't expect. You can see the bed is nothing special and those chairs are exactly built for comfort. The bed looks a lot more inviting with a guest. Overall is was great value for $25 AUD and served my purpose well. It's not a place I would want to stay for several nights. At that price I expected less, so I was happy that the place didn't smell, no visable insects, wasn't cramped, clean, and had open shower. Also had the bonus of ladyboys hanging around out front of Hotel trying to lure massage customers. The Soi 7/1 location was handy and it's much closer to the skytrain than soi 4 hotels. OneTrueSaxon 6,000 #2 Posted January 9, 2013 Good review and it seems that soi 7/1 as got the budget places hands down, as I have stayed in two myself the Star Inn and Maxim's Inn. Always good to have options.
OneTrueSaxon 6,000 #3 Posted January 9, 2013 Also had the bonus of ladyboys hanging around out front of Hotel trying to lure massage customers. I thought the room looked familiar this is were some ladyboys use the rooms for ST. As I had a ST here with Tee the day before you arrived.

nightwatch 16 #5 Posted January 10, 2013 stayed there once myself for a night. A decent value for a night or two but not for a long stay. I did not have the chair but some kind built in seat which would have been even less comfortable. I was in the building across the street from the main desk. If you are not into running your guest by the front desk you do not need to on this side as you get a pass key for the security door to get you in the building and a room key for your room. I don't have any pics but not much different from your room.
Siam Man 2,298 #6 Posted January 11, 2013 Good review and it seems that soi 7/1 as got the budget places hands down, as I have stayed in two myself the Star Inn and Maxim's Inn. Always good to have options. I looked at Star Inn as a budget option, but when I read reviews on Agoda I ended up passing. Maxim is a very good option. It's a bit more expensive in the $35 range last time I looked. Breakfast is included also. Just down Soi 7/1 from World Inn. I thought the room looked familiar this is were some ladyboys use the rooms for ST. As I had a ST here with Tee the day before you arrived. No wonder there were so many ladyboys hanging around out front. Are they massage gurlz or just freelancers, or both?

Siam Man 2,298 #9 Posted December 31, 2013 Staying here again for two nights only. Basically using as a ST room. I paid around $35 USD a night through Agoda a while back. However when I passed through two weeks ago they had this banner out front advertising a two night special for 999 baht. Apparently it's still on as banner is still there. I'll call them direct when booking next time as their price has gone up on Agoda in the past year or so. That 999 baht for two nights is an awesome deal, but they may be a sub standard room. Mine is the Standard double. I will inquire more about that special deal as to what room it is exactly. Very convenient, and have a 99 baht American Breakfast 6:30 to 2 P.M. I have a room looking out on to Soi 7/1 this time so you can see some of the festivities at night.

Siam Man 2,298 #11 Posted December 31, 2013 Sounds like a good deal Siam... It's actually 999 baht each night if booking two or more. Banner reads Special Rate 999/n for 2 nights staying. Otherwise it's 1200 baht per night, which is about what I paid through Agoda. They are dropping prices because of the protests. No safes in the rooms may be a bit of deal breaker for some. They also have a new facade and are renovating their reception. Lobby to the rooms are actually across the Soi.
Boomerang 2,250 #12 Posted December 31, 2013 Thinking that the current political climate will provide many similar promotions well into the new year.

Fred71 133 #17 Posted August 12, 2014 I had breakfast there last week and noticed that they are changing the name and it seems like they have upgraded the staff dresscode and the reception since my last visit, can't remember the new name though. Any BM who stayed there lately with intel on current room status? Have they done any work on the rooms too or is it same same?
Siam Man 2,298 #18 Posted August 13, 2014 Fred I know that have redone the reception area, and may have done some work on those rooms on that side of the Soi. They have rooms on both sides. They also have the 99 baht breakfast special that goes to 14:00 good enough if to lazy to leave Soi 7/1 and I find myself going to Foodland more for my first meal of the day. I would much rather pay the little extra and it's not much fro i Check Inn just a stones throw from World Inn. Better everything there IMO.
