pete63 31 #1 Posted December 15, 2022 I am considering spending 75 days in Bangkok on my next trip which begins on January 7th (45 days plus a 30 day extension). This would require me to spend less than I usually do on accommodation. I would appreciate any thoughts you have on this. I don't need to be in lower Sukhumvit. I don't mind being a little further out as long as I am within walking distance from a BTS or MRT station. Any ideas or suggestions?
Loz61 61 #2 Posted December 15, 2022 I stay @ Rompo Mansion off Rama 4. Serviced Apartment 15-20k baht per month. it’s off the strip, so quieter, yet 10min to Asok on motorcycle taxi 30bt. Big C, lots of restaurants nearby. Just landed for a month last night. 2 1 sydney69er, pete63 and mikel reacted to this

Thank you, that looks really interesting. It is about 950 meters from Queen Sirikit NCC MRT according to Google Maps. Do you book directly with them or through one of the intermediaries (like Agoda and Booking.Com)? Edited December 15, 2022 by pete63
Loz61 61 #4 Posted December 15, 2022 I know them, so I book direct. Info@rompomansion.com. Paul is the guy at this end. Fantastic guy, he will look after you. 2 2 ARI23, pete63, george1515 and 1 other reacted to this
pete63 31 #5 Posted December 16, 2022 Is Rompo Mansion guest friendly? Can you invite a ladyboy over and take her up to your room? I assume the answer is yes, but just wanted to make sure.
Loz61 61 #6 Posted December 16, 2022 Yes, no judgement here. They will need to show ID at the security desk though 1 pete63 reacted to this
pete63 31 #7 Posted December 16, 2022 (edited) https://www.hopinnhotel.com/our-hotels/hop-inn-bangkok-onnut-station This also looks interesting. Brand new, nice rooms, walking distance from Onnut BTS station, 900 baht per night. I don't know if they are guest friendly. I sent them an email asking them but did not get a response.
