I booked 8 nights at this hotel because of some of the good reports here . Booked the one bedroom suite $93au per night with breakfast . Very convenient location , well maintained rooms, large balcony with table and chairs. Would definately stay here again ( oh i didnt have a threesome but i did have 3 visitors on the one day at different times with no problems) will add some more photos later

I stayed at The Landmark during my last trip for the 1st time since 2006 and must say that I was very impressed. The location is near perfect, the rooms are great and the pool area is quite relaxing. I was a bit sceptical to book The Landmark at first due to reports of construction on certain floors and accompanying noise, so I emailed the hotel manager and asked him for a honest update. He replied the same day explaining the situation and committed to reserve a quiet room far away from any potential noise for me. With that done I took the plunge and made a reservation...

Upon check in the very friendly and gorgeous looking receptionist told me that she would escort me to the club lounge where check in for executive rooms apparently takes place. When we got there I was greeted by a European looking girl in traditional Thai uniform who took my passport and after looking at it immediately spoke to me in my mother tongue. I found it rather amusing but was very pleased when she told me that I was upgraded to an Executive Suite. First impression of the room was very pleasant, it has windows all around and is decorated in a very stylish way. I really can't find anything to criticize about the room, except maybe for the electrics which are all very modern but not easy to figure out. Anyway, the bed is excellent, the curtains keep out all light and there was no noise; I slept without earplugs which is very rare for me.

Will I be back? If the price is competitive to other 5 star hotels most definitely. Personally I'd rate The Landmark above the JW Marriott...

    The living room

Bedroom with comfy king size bed and large flat screen TV

Large bathtub that can be used for all kinds of fun activities

Large rain shower with very good water pressure

The pool area which has sun until about 3.30pm. I counted 32 sunbeds which was more than sufficient on the occasions I was there but could get crowded if the hotel is fully booked.

This got my attention because that was exactly my strategy in January. Every night I would take one LB out of Nana for short time, and then bring another girl back to stay overnight. One day I even took a GG beer bar waitress in the afternoon, and then had 2 seperate LB episodes that night. They never said boo about any of this, and did not charge me a single Baht for it.

    I emailed them yesterday.

Me: Can you tell me what the room guest policy is? I have heard that Phachara now only allows only 1 guest to be brought into room every 12 hours. Is this true?

Phachara: Warm greeting from Phachara Suites Hotel. Thank you for your email and many kind to stay with Phachara Suites Hotel.
Please be infirmed (sp) you that you can bring your joiner or guest to your room free of charge for the first person per night and the second person we will charge 1,000 THB Nett per night as well. We looking for welcome back and see you soon.

I take this to mean that the only charge will be if I have 2 girls stay overnight, and not 2 girls within a 12 hour period. In December, I will report back exactly what the policy is after finding out first hand.

You can try Phachara Suites on Soi 6. That is where I stayed. Their website shows rooms as low as 2141 baht for September. That's a little pricier than what you want, but they have a lot to offer. The rooms all have washer / dryer as well as kitchens. A restaurant is on site. They also have a pool on 7th or 8th floor and a nice gym. The pool is unheated. In January when I was there, the water was so frickin' cold I thought I was going to have a coronary. In September I imagine the water is perfect. They keep the property spotless, it's LB friendly. Guess Bar is a 2 minute walk, Nana about 10 minute walk. That's where I am staying in December this year and I really don't want to stay anywhere else.

Here is a good primer for using advanced codes with Matrix that allow you to plan routes using specific airlines or routing thru LAX or NRT or wherever:

You can't book trips with Matrix. Instead, you print up your itenarary and either give it to a travel agent or call the airline directly. There is no way for the consumer to input the all the codes into airline websites. I use Matrix for my flights, and it has always been my experience that giving the codes to a TA is easier than trying to book codes directly with the airlines. The airlines act as if you are pulling their teeth out when you read out all those booking codes to them over the phone. TA's are happy to do it for you because you have already done all the legwork for them.
