Almost all flights from BKK were cancelled yesterday:
Top story: @mpeer: 'A friend sent me this picture from #Bangkok 's Suvarnabhumi airport yesterday. Almost all flights were cancelled – only a few connections to Frankfurt, Helsinki, Tokyo and Macau were still available.… pic.twitter.com/z8UqRyiyiw, see more https://t.co/KvLn5EwE35

So until then we better wash our hands regularly, with soap, I assume:

Can Azithromycin fight Covid-19 / SARS CoV-2?
HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE & AZITHROMYCIN, taken together, have a real chance to be one of the biggest game changers in the history of medicine. The FDA has moved mountains - Thank You! Hopefully they will BOTH (H works better with A, International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents).....

#KnowTheFacts: While #COVID19 is spreading rapidly, most people will experience only mild symptoms. That said, this #coronavirus can cause severe disease in some people.

What's your blood group?
People with blood type A may be more vulnerable to coronavirus, China study finds.

It is worth remembering that the blood group O was found to be relatively resistant to SARS.https://t.co/0iqXcIlLSK -

Scroll down within the frame is a pain in the ass. The link makes things easier. Just like if you didn't embed everything, things would be easier as well. Maybe the frames work just fine when using a phone, but on a computer it's not worth it.
Glad that you can see the pictures now!
I'm wondering how many forum members access this forum from a mobile device and how many from a desktop computer...
The frame above was indeed originally optimized for mobile devices. I've now changed the size settings from typical mobile website size to "auto". That means it *should* adapt depending on the device used...
I hope it's now displayed larger on your computer...

Like Ropey said, try Safari. Also read this please ( scroll down within the frame):

5 hours ago, American Eagle said:That link works, and I notice that if someone quotes you with your numbers, then the numbers become clickable, and then I can see the photo. Just like in Rockman's post above (464)
American Eagle has problems with so-called "linked images" sometimes also referred to as remote images, external images or embedded images.
Unlike images uploaded to the forum server (hosted images) they are hosted on a different server (i.e., are non-hosted images).
Some forum members, like American Eagle, have experienced problems seeing those images. Apparently they are not correctly displayed in their browser.
Since American Eagle writes in red I assume he's using a PC and not a phone (while it's actually possible to change the font color using a phone, it nevertheless is a PITA... Using the desktop site it's a lot easier to change font colors...).
Could this display problem have to do with him probably using a PC? And / or could this problem come from the computer's privacy and security settings? And / or the firewall? Is it a browser issue? Or is JavaScript disabled? Or is there a problem with his OS?
Or is it a cache problem because when someone quotes the post with the image, that image will be displayed in the quote by clicking on the link (but still remains invisible in the original post).
I guess external images are cached on the forum?
Or...?
The images in question by the way were all embedded in the rich text editor (and not in the HTML editor let alone in Tapatalk...).
Thanks!
This is a linked gif image by the way.

According to Wikipedia
"It is estimated that as many as six in every thousand native males later present themselves as transsexual women or phu ying kham phet."
Thailand has a population of around 70 million people. Let's say half of them are born male, then there are 35 million men in LOS of which 0,6% or up to 210,000 are considered transsexual.
According to this site however:
there are only between 10,000 and 100,000 transsexuals in Thailand..
Perhaps we think there are more ladyboys in Thailand because we:
a. are particularly interested in ladyboys, and
b. because Sin City and Bangkok are places with a disproportionately high number of transsexuals?

"There are an estimated 62,800 transgender people living in Thailand. HIV prevalence among this group was estimated at 11% in 2018, making transgender people a particularly at-risk population. A 2015 UNICEF study found 39% of young transgender people had sold sex, making them particularly vulnerable to HIV.
Data reported by UNAIDS in 2019 suggests around three quarters (77%) of transgender women in Thailand use condoms regularly and around half have access to HIV prevention programmes. Around 40% of HIV positive transgender women are estimated to be aware of their status. Discriminatory heath systems, transphobia, family rejection and a lack of access to education and employment all discourage transgender people from seeking HIV services, leaving them behind in prevention and treatment work.
A study conducted in 2015 and 2016 found younger transgender women were also more likely to be HIV positive than older transgender women. Having an STI, having a low education level and using amphetamine-type stimulants were found to be more common among HIV positive transgender women, suggesting these factors further heighten transgender women’s risk of acquiring HIV."

I don't know about you, but I find street addresses in Thailand confusing...
For example, house number 10 might be located right next to house number 64, which doesn't make any sense to me...
Also, Sukhumvit Soi 22 for example isn't really near Soi 21... And Soi 7 isn't the same as Soi 7/1....
Even taxi drivers who are unfamiliar with a certain area seem to struggle to find the destination quickly. I therefore often print out the location map of a hotel and give it to the driver.
One feature in Google maps that can help you save time finding a specific place in Bangkok are plus codes.
Plus codes work just like street addresses. You can use a plus code to find or share a place on Google Maps.
Plus codes consist of the short code and the name of the locality (e.g. city). Example:
PHP3+M7Short CodeBangkok, ThailandLocalityExample for Android devices:
If you enter:
PHP3+P7 Bangkok
in the search box of Google Maps you'll be directed to an address in Bangkok.
If you're near the address, for example in the same district, you don’t have to include the locality code.
To find the plus code for a place on an Android phone, you open Google Maps and touch and hold a place to drop a pin on Google Maps.
At the bottom, you tap the place of interest to you. Then scroll down to find the plus code, such as PHP3+P7 Bangkok, Thailand. These plus codes are particularly useful in places with addresses that are not easily located through conventional descriptors like street names or house numbers. That's half of the world's urban population BTW...
Taxi drivers in Bangkok often use Google Maps. If you give them the short code, you might get quicker to your destination...

My top three bars are:
1. Stumble Inn: great people watching, great live music, open front, just a great place!
2. Fitzgerald's: great food, great people watching, nice staff (usually)
3. Bully's Pub: great Thai food, great selection of drinks, air conditioned, nice place to hang around for a while

The Artbox will stay in Chuvit Garden / Sukhumvit Soi 10 until the end of 2020, according to a post on their Facebook page.

In general, the smaller the hotel room, the more likely it is they place big mirrors there to make the room look larger...
The illusion of depth I think it's called...

The easytaxi.com site doesn't seem to work anymore and Uber has become Grab last year...
I've tried to download the allthaitaxi app but no such luck either (they only have an iOS app that works apparently but not an Android app...).
http://www.allthaitaxi.com/website/en/home
Has anyone knowledge of a good Grab app alternative for Bangkok?
Are BTS and MRT apps useful for visitors? Is it possible to buy tickets online with them?

The green Sukhumvit BTS line has recently been extended up to Kasetsart University (N13). The two stations before Kasetsart, Ratchayothin (N11) and Sena Nikhom colony (N12) are now being served by airport bus no. A1 to Don Mueang airport (DMK, not Bkk!!). The airport bus to the two BTS stations leaves from gates 6 (T1) and 12 (T2).
An improvement over the situation before I think, when you had to take the A1 bus all the way down to Mo Chit BTS...

Thanks Kendo for your explanation!
However I didn't mean the rep points but what it says in the green "community reputation" field.
Just as an example: This is a copy of OTS' community reputation field:
Wasn't it something like excellent or very good or something like that before? Same for some other BMs - including you and I. Or am I completely wrong???
-
Did those new icons / symbols have an effect on the way the members' reputation levels are calculated?
Let's take two examples: @OneTrueSaxon (OTS) and @flipflops (FF). They are both amongst the most respected members of this forum, yet their reputation status is only "good" - and not excellent or super duper excellent - according to their profile:
Cannot be true. Guaranteed. Their rep is faultless I would say.
