LB friendly hotels

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I'm sure this is an old question and maybe a thread on this already, so sorry if I'm being lazy by asking again!!

Can anyone give some advice and clear up some confusion?

When in BKK I normally stay at the On8 hotel (Soi 8 of course!). This is a small but very nice boutique hotel which is a great standard, good sized rooms, modern bathrooms and very clean hotel with nice quality beds and sheets etc and critically, I never have any problems taking GG's or LB's back. However, on my next trip to BKK in a few weeks time I'm unable to stay there as a few friends are staying there at the same time and would frown on my liking for the 3rd sex!! So, the question is, can anyone suggest a similar quality of hotel that is LB friendly? I was looking at the Darwin but that looks a bit lower standard and was amazed to read on Trip Advisor of being charged to take ladies back!! I've looked at the Magestic Grande on Soi 2 but it looks like a place that may charge for the ladies to stay?

Over the years I've stayed at the Atrium (Soi 7 I think) and that's also a bit iffy with guests and has sone very poor quality rooms. I've also stayed at the Grabd President and that's a poor quality hotel as well IMHO!

So I hope you can see my dilemma? I would love to stop at the On8 but can't and can't be sure if being dissapointed by stopping at another place that's poorer quality than the On8 or won't let the ladies stay!!

Any help much aporeciated.

Thank you all

Your correct, we have a whole sub-section on Hotel reviews. http://www.bangkokladyboys.net/forum/index.php?/forum/3-hotel-reviews/

We also have an old thread of the same name: http://www.bangkokladyboys.net/forum/index.php?/topic/14-lb-friendly-hotels/

Here is a Boutique hotel that I'm going to try in Feb. http://www.bangkokladyboys.net/forum/index.php?/topic/893-heaven4/

A thread on Boutique hotels although a bit older. http://www.bangkokladyboys.net/forum/index.php?/topic/731-boutique-hotels/

Have a read around or even ask some questions on those threads.

You can so your appreciation by submitting a review of where you stayed. A trip report would fantastic as well. Would be interesting to hear how you got around your friends with your ladyboy play.

Thanks fot your help. I've had a look through and as ever, it's still feels hit and miss! You read on this forum about hotels that are LB friendly and then read Trip Advisor that say the complete opposite! The Dawin and the Dynasty Grande being good examples. The Majestic Grande looks a nice place but that large lobby with long Check-in desk could be a nightmare to negotiate at 2am with a couple of LB's on your arm. I've had this in Pattaya before and if your not careful you can pay another 1,000 a night. I always book one room for two people but that doesn't always work. When I've been asked to pay and said this is my other guest sharing my room they just won't have it. They obviously know what's going on and simply say you should have registered at check-in time.

I will leave it for a day or two to see what other members come up with and I will certainly follow up with a report. As for dodging the friends? Well right now I'm working on getting them drunk early and hope the head off to bed early and allow me some space. If that fails I'll say I'm feeling unwell and say I'm going back to my hotel...

I know who I would believe and it aint trip adviser.

Although I have not personally stayed at Dawin and Dynasty Grande, I have read for years about BM's who have stayed there, recommended these places, and reported on these places that they were indeed ladyboy friendly.

In fact one of our most trusted members "Mancity" just recommended Dawin. I took his recommendation on Ibis in October and it worked out fine. We are very fortunate here that some of our members have stayed at these places and reported first hand so that we don't have to rely on an internet booking company.

Let me ask you, does Travel Adviser have your best interests in mind? Have they had experience taking ladyboys into those hotels?

I would not say this is a sure fire way to find a hotel either but can be used to narrow down your choices. Find something there or here and ask about it if you do not see a reveiw. Someone here may be able to give the info you need but you should look for hotels according to your needs as my needs are different than yours my choice of stay may be a nightmare for you.

Thanks everyone for your help with this.

My reference to Trip Advisor wasn't in relation to their "corporate" style comments. These were comments from people who have stayed at the Dawin recently and rated the hotel low as a result. That said, anyone can post feedback about hotels and I know many rival hotel owners post negative comments to damage their reputation; hence the request from you guys.

As for the On8 - I think it's a great hotel in every respect. It's very clean, modern, quality beds and sheets. Rooms are quiet and well insulated for sound! The bathrooms are very nice and plenty of room in the walk-in shower for two or more! I've never had a problem in the 5 or so times I've stayed there with bringing ladies back. The location is fine and onky takes a 5 min stroll to Nana They seem happy to upgrade you for free if they have room and the staff ate kind and generous. The hotel has a cafe/restaurant attached which is also used by non-residents. The breakfast is included in the price and very good (non of your "continental" nonsense!!). That said, it always makes me smile when people compliment breakfasts at hotels as a plus point ( like I just have!!!). I do give a sh*t about breakfast at hotels. I'm often up too late to get one and there is always loads of other places nearby. Surely the room is the main reason for choosing a hotel? After all thats where the fun happens and where you have to sleep. I often see feedback on hotels which say "lovely breakfast"! Well I think McDonalds do an ok breakfast the cheap, but I wouldn't want to sleep and shower in a McDonalds!! Anyway, great hotel and one feature I haven't mentioned in that it has good quality FREE wifi throughout the hotel! Would certainly reccomend it to anyone.

In the meantime, I've emailed the Majestic Grande and they have confirmed that they dont charge for people staying the night but do request ID cards to be left; which is normal and comforting.

Thanks again all and I will certainly update you all with a trip report.
