    Crazy stuff! Atrocious service.

I booked my flight in November for an April departure. In January I got an email from Thai Airways titled Seat Change. The wording in the email:

    Dear Valued Customer,

Due to operation reason THAI would like to inform that your seat has been changed from 51K to 51K on TG475.

WTF? That doesn't look like a seat change.

Then 3 days later I got an email titled with my name and reference number - totally different email format, with the message:

    DEAR CUSTOMER,
WITH REGARDS TO YOUR FLIGHT TG475.
WE REGRET HAVING TO INFORM YOU THAT THE AIRCRAFT
IS CHANGED DUE TO TECHNICAL REASON.
YOUR SEAT ASSIGNMENT IS CHANGE FROM
    50A TO
    52A.

I changed from a Valued Customer to just Customer. Not sure how my seat changed from 51K to 50A...then to change to 52A? Makes no sense, and this is about 4 months before the flight. Do they know about technical issues with the plane so far in advance? Makes no sense.

    Thai Airways - TIT

Wow! This should be displayed on Ripley's Believe It or Not.

  2. My experience is similar to @lbshagger's. It was also many years ago. I brought up GG and LB and had no problems. Only that it was looking at so I don't remember if we ever entered by the main lobby because depending on the location of your room, there is a separate set of elevators way over to another somewhat discreet/less busy area. If I recall correctly, they have the Japanese toilets.

Always book a room for two Ross it’s the same price usually anyway , 99.9% of rooms are for 2 people even tho you usually check in alone mate

Thanks for the response. Now I need to narrow down my hotel options and set aside some time to spend with some TFs that I've been messaging with for a long time now. Three I've met before but two more that I haven't. I don't think I'll have enough time for all of them because I do want to check out the Triple Crown bars too.

I have stayed in Galleria 10 a few times. It’s was good for the price. During the day I am always out so never use the pool or the bar. Never had any issues and I always bring back from CIB.
Citadines on 11 have bigger rooms but a lot of noise from the bar’s outside. So loud it’s difficult to sleep.

Thanks. Similarly for me as well in that I never use the facilities like the gym, pool and bar. So just need a decent room and shower. Mirrors might be a nice addition.

Citadines on soi 11 would’ve been a cheap option. Haven’t stayed there since 2018, so couldn’t give you an up to date review. But always consistently between 1600-2000b generally.

just realised this was for an old thread  :Bonkers:I This is an old thread This tht

This is an old thread but the details matched my interests well so I thought it would be ok to carry on from it. I can start a new thread instead if that's more appropriate.

Regarding Citadines, is there much difference between the one on Soi 8 vs 11?  They both appear to be about the same distance from Nana BTS.

Well after much thought and deliberation, I have made an executive decision. After doodling around and finally booking Grand Business Inn, I have decided to make a change. Will spend the last night at Galleria on Suk 10, not far from CIB. Galleria has a pool. Would be nice to just chill out and relax.

Anyway the plan centres around spending time with a few girls, maybe 2 or 3, Lily being one of them over the first 4 nights I am in BKK. Those few nights will be at Grand Business, then down to Pattaya for a few nights, then back to BKK for the last day and night before I am off to Saigon. I really want to go out with a bang, so plan to make it something to remember.

If I prearrange it can I pay the bar fine and take the girl to my hotel around 2pm, before CIB opens?. Take her out to dinner etc, then maybe back to CIB for a few hours, before retiring back to the room for some gymnastics. Breakfast in the morning then off to the airport. Another trip over.

Just wondering what you thought about your stays at the Grand Business Inn and Galleria on Suk 10. I'm considering these too if I can make it out there soon.

  7. If it is outside the entrance to asoke station then yes

I am not sure if it is that close to Asoke Station. Sukhumvit 14 is closer to Asoke.

I want to book very soon. I am leaning toward Majestic Grand, Icon or Centre Point Suk 10.

    Any other last comments?

  8. Always a good idea . After all you have booked for two people per day . Grand Swiss asked me when the other guest would be arriving , my answer with a smile " every night " . :)

    Good one.

I remember the Icon asked me when the other guest will arrive too. I didn't know what to say and so I just didn't say anything. They never followed up on that question. :)

  9. Posted in a chit chat thread but this thread makes more sense so I'll post my question again.

I am thinking of the Ambassador, Majestic Grand, Centre Point Soi 10, Hotel Icon and Chateau de Bangkok. According to Travelocity they are all within $5 US of each other give or take a couple more.

Which would you guys recommend? Thanks.
