By the way SM who is the girl in the blue?

Good hotel.I have stayed there many times too. The only issue I have faced every time I stayed there was the water seems to flow on to the floor from the tub every time I took a shower.

Club Dang Cabaret Show

SM are these mostly post ops? -
flips, yes I agree with you about the size and the SD card. My one plus one is 64gb and I have no issues with the battery so far. The Huawei is a good phone too but so is the Mii. At this moment in time I would not change my one plus one for any other phones and not even for an iPhone 6.

The best and value for money is the Chinese phone one plus one. The downside is that you have to order it online. The best one I ever saw and price of around 499 or less. It is very fast and very good camera and 64G capacity

I had to stay at Majestic Suites for one night and I will never stay there again. It was terrible. The problem is that when on business the company puts you up in mostly 5 star hotels and most of the times have colleges who have no idea of this side of things. So when I pay I stay at the smaller hotels where there is more freedom. By the way I have never met small children running about in the Aspen while I have seen them every time I have stayed at Majestic Grande. The downside is a lot of Thai hotels do not have a guest program like the international hotels. I don't know why they don't introduce it so that it makes it easier for the check in if for nothing else.

Thanks SM. Aspen has never charged me extra for anything as you say. The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom is a decent size. I have to say the last time the TV was crap as everything was fuxzy. I think I will stick with Aspen for the time being then.

How would you compare the I checkin to the Aspen? I liked the large rooms in Aspen. Are the rooms spacious?

I stayed there in August for a couple of days and it was bad. There was a bad smelling down in the Lobby and as flipflop says it was very outdated. The front desk was not friendly at all. I had a had time to get there every time I took a taxi because no one seems to know where it is. There is a BTS within walking distance but its still about 15 to 20 minutes at least by walking. I will not stay there again. But this is my opinion only.

How would you compare the I hotels to aspen suites?

How would you compare the Icheckin to the Aspen Suites. I am also moving to soi 2 in two days time and looking for a hotel.

If you pick up an early bird you can take them through the parking lot, through the restaurant to the lift. That is if you don't want to go through the reception. The odd thing I discovered during my many stays here is that the junior suites has a design problem with the showers. No matter how many times I stayed in different ones, the water flows down on to the floor when I take a shower. Good hotel and I will stay here most of the time, if I have to pay for my hotel.

Yes the Pool is not usable at all. But overall I like the place and especially the concierge and the security staff are very good and polite. The only problem I have with them is that I stay there in about once in every three months and they still do not seem to keep a database on regular guests. A lot of hotels would keep that because it helps when you check in.

Thank you Pajtas. did you ever stay at Majestic Grande and if so how would you compare to this? And also what are the rates like?

Us Oldies have been born like this. LOL.

I never go to the gym when in Bangkok. I get all the exercise I need every night. LOL and sometimes during the day too.

How are the rooms compared to Majestic Grande? I have a good friend who does the DJ at Bed supperclub weekly and if its so close I would not mind staying there is the rooms are good.

Yes, the inconsiderate Indian tourists is something I plan to avoid the next time by not staying at Ambassador Hotel. A group of inconsiderate people give a country a bad name as there are lovely and very considerate people from there too.
-
I normally stay here too and got upgraded to a suite twice when it got full. Yes the Deluxe is the best value for money with the shower and the tub provided. I like the concierge and and the security is very respectful all the time. Yes you do get a lot of middle eastern kids running about the place but it is still a lot less than in Ambassador Hotel. The breakfast is good too but I find that since I have late nights out, I invariably miss the breakfast so I have given it up to get the breakfast rate now. It is surprising how different it is to the Majestic Suites. The staff there were rude and so was the security yet the security is from the same company. This is always my first choice if I get reasonable rates and to the MB who said you have to get cross a busy street to get to the BTS I do not understand what he meant by that. The two closest BTS are Ploenchit and Nana. You do not have to cross a busy street to get there as there is always the overhead crossing and all you need is continue to the BTS station.

Thanks. It seems that its one or the other I guess. I never use the pool anyway so to me it is the room and the service that is more important.

Youngone, I used to stay in the Hiltons a long time back but have stopped for sometime. How are they now? I mean the service. I used to find them a bit stuck up and that's the main reason why I stopped staying in the Hiltons. And of course the price rocketed high in the past few years. Is it value for the price you pay? I am still HH member, and if good maybe I should start staying there again.

Thank you. I found it not very good. The reception staff is over worked and under staffed. The queues are long there. The guests staying there are not my cup of tea as they are loud and abrasive and saw many arguing with the front desk staff. Most of these guests have no sense of decency in observing the queue and I saw the front desk actually tell a guest that there is a queue and he should go back to the queue and this brought another mutterings and argument. I actually saw a verbal argument between a LB and an Indian guest, well there were two Indian men in the kind of covered portion they have in front (where there is a coffee bar) late one night. It is not good for us mongers who fancy LBs for people to behave like that towards LBs. I am not going to stay there anymore but would shift back to Aspen Suites in the back of Soi 2 if my favourite place, Majestic Grande is not available.

Soi 11 Nightlife and eats
Rodrigo replied to Siam Man's topic in Restaurants, Places to Eat and nightlife
Soi 22 Malikka. Fantastic and authentic Thai atmosphere and food -
They are giving a suite for about 65 dollars per night and usually they say its about 144 dollars. So was wondering how it was. I have stayed at the Aspen Suites and it is very comfortable if you get the junior suites. It was also about the same as 60 to 70 dollars plus breakfast for that for a junior suite at Aspen.

I used to eat there and the outside food area a lot but never seem to hit these high class escorts. The only girls I see(and I see them a lot) are a bit older ladies who give me the eye and the smile. Yes I am sure they are escorts but never seem to see the good looking ones so far.
