    i Check Inn Soi 7/1

It was surprisingly quite and it was NYE when I stayed there. Your at the end of the Soi across from Maxim Hotel. Bars on both sides. My window faced the Soi, but I couldn't hear anything outside even with the television off.

Thanks for the additional info on that Mardhi. They also have a Silom property too. I'm glad it worked out for you. Was there anything good on the television?

    search function and 3-letter names

Good advice Hughjass. Also in regards to Toy you can also spell it differently. She is refferred to as Baitoey or Toey. If you are looking for Toey from CIB keep in mind she has only been working about 3 months, and there isn't that much on her except for CIB thread. Alternatively you may have success if you include the name of the bar they work or did work. For instance when you put Pai Cascade bar you will get several results (4 pages) and you will find her name in one of the titles.
  4. Acording to Dick Swaab So does it increase the odds of male child turning into ladyboys? Source Health & Wellbeing MSN http://health.ninemsn.com.au/ HEALTH Smoking in pregnancy increases chances of children being gay: neurobiologistKIMBERLY GILLANMONDAY, JANUARY 20, 2014 Mothers who smoke during pregnancy are more likely to have gay and lesbian children, according to a controversial new book by Dutch neurologist Professor Dick Swaab. In We Are Our Brains, Professor Swaab says stress and amphetamines can also play a role in a developing foetus's sexuality. "Pre-birth exposure to both nicotine and amphetamines increases the chance of lesbian daughters," Professor Swaab says in his book, according to the UK's The Sunday Times. "Pregnant women suffering from stress are also more likely to have homosexual children of both genders because their raised level of the stress hormone cortisol affects the production of foetal sex hormones." Swaab, a professor of neurobiology at Amsterdam University, said foetuses are so delicate that small changes from their mother can have a major impact on their life. Professor Swaab also referenced a small study that found women who took the synthetic oestrogen DES, which was prescribed to prevent miscarriage between 1939 and 1960, during pregnancy were more likely to have bisexual or lesbian daughters. The study involved 117 women who took DES and 117 women who didn't, and found eight of the women who took the hormone had lesbian daughters, while none of the control group did. Professor Swaab also suggested drinking and taking drugs could diminish a child's IQ. "Even in women who drink just a glass of wine a day we see effects, such as lower IQ and hyperactivity," he said. In 2012, US researchers suggested that epigenetics, which controls the way DNA is expressed, appears to be responsible for controlling how hormones affect the brain in utero and how sexuality is developed. Canadian psychologist Ray Blanchard recently suggested that boys with lots of older brothers are more likely to be gay than only children, or boys with older sisters or younger siblings. He said that a man's chances of being gay increase by 33 percent for every older brother he has. Blanchard suggested that the more baby boys a woman has, the stronger her immune system response to male hormones produced by male foetuses in utero, which can lead to homosexuality. Do we need to know what causes homosexuality? The gay community tend to oppose research into the cause of sexual preference, arguing they don't need a scientific justification for who they are. Dr Mary Lou Rasmussen, a researcher in gender and sexuality from Monash University told ninemsn that the search for a "gay gene" can be problematic for the gay and lesbian community, because it allows people who are unsympathetic to assume it is something that can be prevented or cured. "It's a pathologising of the gay and lesbian community. It constructs it as a 'condition' and I find that a problematic set of manoeuvres," she said. "There is an assumption in the search for the gay gene that there is a fixed thing called 'a homosexual' that we can go and search for." Smoking bad for pregnancy Regardless of whether smoking and drinking alter a baby's sexual preference, studies are clear that it can harm unborn babies. "Babies [of mothers who smoke] are born smaller and have lower lung function at birth," Dr Peter Sly, a respiratory paediatrician and deputy director of the Queensland Children's Medical Research Institute, told ninemsn recently. "That low lung function at birth is one of the major risk factors for chronic respiratory conditions throughout life." Smokers are also more likely to have stillborn or premature babies. Quit Victoria told ninemsn they have never seen any peer-reviewed research on smoking being related to homosexuality.
  5. The American Diner is called Angel City Diner. It's located directly across from Citadines hotel. I dragged my gurl there. She had her usual papaya salad while I tried to order a french dip. "finshed" Then a roast beef sandwich, "finshed" So it was the roast turkey which they had. The sandwich was good although a little light on the turkey I thought. The bread was good and the fries were too. Can't beat the free refills just like America. We were the only customers there the whole time. I noticed they no longer had the daily specials. They must handle the room service for Prime 11, but I can't see this surviving. Perhaps another name change or theme is in the cards. The service was excellent but I think that's due us being the only customers.

1st attempts at using editor. All I can say it's a much better live. The lights mess with the camera as it can't adjust quick enough which I think is why some parts are better than others.

    LeFenix Soi 11 (updated 2014)

Yes, doors are shut and a bunch of furniture and junk outside. Siam Missus noted hotel go there and she is probably correct on that one. I didn't get to try out the pool like I wanted to as my suit stayed in dry dock. I just called down for late check out and found I can stay till 2 P.M. without a charge which is perfect for me for my flight times. Taking the LeFenix shuttle to Nana station and train to Airport. Really liking this place and Soi 11.

    Star Inn soi 7/1

Thanks for that Andy. I have come close to giving this place a try but others on Soi 7/1 got the nod. I quite like the location that 7/1 provides. I think every accommodation on 7/1 expects you to bring back a guest. I love strolling down that Soi with a ladyboy on my arm and see the look in the LB massage gurls faces when they see your preference for the third sex.
  13. The firehouse has live music in the evenings on Soi 11 right next to the LeFenix This Boutique Hotel is located at same location and is offering a 1200 baht promotion. I'm pretty sure this is new as I haven't seen it before and the fact they are offering this promotion, with Now Open on the sign.

    LeFenix Soi 11 (updated 2014)

This is my second stay at LeFenix which I based on having my terak with me. I wanted to utilize the Nest night club and maybe hit some others in the area. The Nest which I mentioned before here has live music late so it was a perfect place to go after some cheap drinks at CIB. the drinks at the Nest are not cheap. Had a 4 member band playing pop music mostly. Some old and new songs. Lead singer was a Thai female who my gurl called old. We had a pretty good view from one of the four beds. There was a photographer that kept getting in the way. We stayed for two sets and had 3 beers and an order of french fries which came to 591 baht. I wasn't able to charge it to the room but was able to put it on credit card. The atmosphere was great. Some tables were smoking the sheesha pipe which seems to be catching on everywhere. Very romantic. I even started singing the words to dancing queen to my gurl singing "only 17......she is the dancing queen. The next verse she sang only 70 he is the dancing queen to me. This time I booked a superior room, which really doesn't include anything more than just city views, and DVD player and breakfast was included for about $7 USD a night more. I actually got up for the breakfast on each morning since I wasn't having as late of nights with my gurl back from Isan. The breakfast buffet looks bigger than it actually is but you won't find bacon or eggs the way you like unless you like runny as scrambled or a cold Thai omlette. You can order your eggs and bacon from a staff member who may or may not be available depending what time you go. It's a comfortable large dining area. Apple and Orange Juice are available as well as newspapers. Make sure to hang out you don't disturb sign or you will have cleaning staff, peron coming to ask if you want laundry done, and mini bar refills. I had my mini bar emptied just to make room for stuff I really wanted and to avoid any false charges like I had at i check inn before moving here. Overall good value. A little further away from where I like to hang out, but you can get a LeFenix Tuk Tuk take you to Nana station up until 8 P.M. I've also noticed more things popping up on Soi 11 and foremost being the Volkswagon convy buses turned into alcocarts. There must be a dozen of them now from LeFenix all the way down to Sukhumvit. Even a mobile currency exchange in one. See this thread on Soi 11 for more info on eating and nightlife on Soi 11
  15. Affirmative, now I just need to get her to try some of these places with me. If they don't serve papaya salad they have very little chance.

    i Check Inn Soi 7/1

I have completed my stay at i check inn. Overall it was great, but I had one small issue which I will hammer them with on Agoda and mention here. You have to give a 500 deposit which is fine, but upon check out they claimed I had 1 water, 1 mineral water? and 1 Kit Kat bar. the bottle of water my gurlfriend had this morning when she arrived by bus, no problem. However the Kit Kat bar and mineral water were incorrect and they wouldn't budge on this and my bill was 155 baht instead of 20 baht for the bottle of water. If I stay again I will have them empty the refrigerator of all contents and site this mistake as why. It's more principle here than the 135 baht. I've stayed at several other properties with min-bars without having this issue. I doubt very seriously any of my ST's could have or would have snuck out a kit kat or a mineral water. Most ladyboys that I've met don't even like chocolate or drink mineral water. given that most of my ST's were trusted Lao gurlz it can only point to the staff miscounting or sniping the stock themselves. I did have this issue once at a western hotel and they waived the charges without batting an eye.

    i Check Inn Soi 7/1

CIB = Check In Bar(s) The alcocart bar near McDonalds and the new one just down Soi 5 and to your immediate right into the tunnel of love and you willl find that little bar with the big heart. You can also access this from Soi 7 as that alley extends out to it. Lot's of massage places all around this area and most seem to have ladyboys these days. Sweatheart Bar is right next door to i check inn and they have several gurlz working from 2 P.M. on.

    World Inn

It's actually 999 baht each night if booking two or more. Banner reads Special Rate 999/n for 2 nights staying. Otherwise it's 1200 baht per night, which is about what I paid through Agoda. They are dropping prices because of the protests. No safes in the rooms may be a bit of deal breaker for some. They also have a new facade and are renovating their reception. Lobby to the rooms are actually across the Soi.

    World Inn

Staying here again for two nights only. Basically using as a ST room. I paid around $35 USD a night through Agoda a while back. However when I passed through two weeks ago they had this banner out front advertising a two night special for 999 baht. Apparently it's still on as banner is still there. I'll call them direct when booking next time as their price has gone up on Agoda in the past year or so. That 999 baht for two nights is an awesome deal, but they may be a sub standard room. Mine is the Standard double. I will inquire more about that special deal as to what room it is exactly. Very convenient, and have a 99 baht American Breakfast 6:30 to 2 P.M. I have a room looking out on to Soi 7/1 this time so you can see some of the festivities at night.
