  1. No I think it's just a microwave. Unless there was something in the lower cupboards as I've never looked in them. The night market right by the BTS does cheap good food and with Tesco lotus the other side with a big food hall and also your western food outlets like KFC etc.

  2. Have you stayed in the Superior or Deluxe Rooms at this property? They are on Agoda now for February for 42 and 46 AUD. The One Bedroom Suite is $62 AUD which is around the price you got I believe. The Deluxe room looks good with seating area and all but says it's only 25 sq meters. I'm wondering how they get all that furniture into that space. In the photo it looks bigger,

How far is the walk to On Nut BTS station?

No I have not stayed in them as I have always booked a one bedroom suite. But going by the pictures of them they look nice.

The walk is around 4 to 5 minutes from the BTS. Also Tesco lotus is there with a good food hall

  3.

Aspen you can take a shuttle down to Soi 2 end at Sukhumvit and then short walk. Longer way back without the shuttle.

Just take the number of Aspen Hotel or take the little card at the front desk and phone them from the end of soi 2, to come and get you. That's what my mate does. I have done the same with I Check in in soi 2 and Hotel Solo. As well as Pattaya bar Resort in soi 15 off second road when I stayed there in 2009.

While staying in I Check In soi 2 a few weeks ago I got the Aspen tuk tuk back to there got off and as you know its only a minutes walk to I check In from there.

  4. ok thanks ots that hotel is past aspen and solo. there is a new one before aspen and solo and right after majestic suites. wish i knew the name. brand new hotel.

It's called Hotel Icon as I passed it a fair few times this month

  5. Hi all

Just booked the Grand Swiss Hotel on Soi 11 for my return for 3 nights, was wondering if anyone knows if this is guest friendly or any info about this hotel

    Cheers

    Spoons

It might be best to email them and ask them. I find with most hotels they respond within 24 hours

  6. Stayed there a few times and really liked it. My only complaint was occasional inconsiderate Arab families making a racket when coming and going.

Can't they control and discipline their kids? Do you need to yell to your friends 3 rooms down? Use the friggin phone or walk lazy ass!!

Stayed at the Bel Aire Princess soi 5 many moons ago and It was full of Arabs who let their kids press every floor button in lift and I was on the 12 floor. Little rascals arghhhhhhhhh

  7. @Mind is on soi 85 and has an ok gym and small rooftop pool. More for lounging around than doing laps. The one bedroom apartment is excellent value. Kitchen area with dining table, lounge with sofa, flatscreen and tiny balcony. Bathroom ok. Bedroom excellent (another wall mounted flatscreen). As OTS said excellent location. Good price too. I've booked for a return visit in Oct.

Best place I have stayed, love the one bedroom apartment. Stayed there twice and booking again on my next visit. Hoping to stay at @Mind just of soi 6 in the one bedroom apartment in Pattaya.

  8. Citadine's are worth a look. Studio and one bed apt's in Soi 8,11,16 from memory. The one in Soi 8 is quite far down the soi and not much around it. The one in Soi 16 is next door to a new large Foodland 24 hour supermarket. The one in Soi 11 is as I recall adjacent to the old Bed Supperclub. One bed's are frankly a waste of money - studios just as big almost and better layout. Can't remember pricing but should be around your budget.

Stayed a couple of nights in Citidines soi 11 in March around 1600 baht

  9. @mind is out on Soi 84 but it's only a year old and a few minutes walk to On Nut BTS and nine minutes on the BtTS to Nana. Going back in the early hours it's less than a hundred baht.

Never have anyone in that area bother me as no hawkers or p4p in that area. There is a night market that does good food and beer, a Tesco Lotus with a food hall and the usual Starbucks and macydees brrrrgh.

Have a look at Solo hotel in soi 2 not sure the price I stayed there nov 2012 for £32

  10. How would you compare the Icheckin to the Aspen Suites. I am also moving to soi 2 in two days time and looking for a hotel.

If your looking for a more newer place Solo Hotel is very good. I Check Inn is good for a longer stay. But if it's for a shorter stay Hotel Solo wins hands down and it's as a nice roof top bar and pool.

  11. Nice update. I especially like the photos that show the quick way to soi 4. I know what you mean about no coffee though. I ended up having to buy a small jar and the sugar I got from Subwa

Always makes me laugh when I see the little alcove at the side of Solo Hotel. As that's where I surprised my niece on the day she arrived after only joking with her a few day earIier that I might be in Bkk at the same time.

Keep meaning to use this place each trip. But the price at @Mind for the one bedroom suite is so cheap.

  12. To cut over to Soi 4 you can cut through the rajah parking lot near Guess Bar or you can walk past Aspen Suites to Lohas Suites which has a cut through to Soi 4 which takes you out near Dawin Hotel and the closest 7/11's

Having stayed in Hotel Solo next door for a few nights and Monaco now I check inn for a week next door book one. I never noticed they had an alley behind Lohas or Amari as it was last year.

Nice find mate. I will use that if I stay in any of them again.

  13. I'd be careful next time you run in to OTS Siamman... He may try to dry hump then barfine you!

How do you know if he hasn't already? :D

There was no bar fine when he was free lancing. Now it's a CIB bar fine at owners rate lol
