Always see the free tuk tuk going up and down soi 4 I always use the free tuk tuk and give the driver a few baht for his trouble. That's at the hotels I've stayed. Not stayed here as yet.

Cheers for the review. I do like soi 13 and have stayed at Citrus a couple of times. The location is great as your in between soi Cowboy and Nana. Lots of great restaurants in Soi 11 area too.

LeFenix Sukhumvit soi 11 are quite practical since they will send the lb/gg up to your room after calling and confirm. Some of the rooms are a bit tired now, so I recommend the Deluxe-rooms. If you do bring them urself you can take the elevator straight up from ground floor. I´ve done that several times, but (for the newbies) it´s always added safety that reception holds their ID.

 

Good ole Le Fenix ! That takes me back over six years ago.

 

Sometimes taking the elevator from the ground floor, the security guard may be there and he will check the ID card.

Be Aire Princess hotel Soi 5 told me they charge 1000 baht for a guest up on arrival. I had booked 6 nights there. Also they check the ID card and say rather loudley you know its ladyboy ? My reply each night was to give the ladyboy a kiss and say yes i know.

I've only stayed in two different rooms and both had a balcony. Looking at the building from the outside. I can only assume they do all have a balcony.

 

I should mention they are rather tiny with no chairs. Not that the chairs would fit.

Not sure if they do smoking rooms as such but the little balcony is fine to smoke on. I did notice a sign saying don't throw your butts over the balcony when discarding them. So no throwing a ladyboys arse over after using it I presume.

I'm thinking of spending two nights in Pattaya beginning of May. Never been. Would this be in a good position to reach the lb hotspots. (Given it's you OTS I'm presuming it is). For a Patts newbie with a small window of opportunity would this be ideal? Anyone have suggestions?

Soi 5 is situated Just off soi sex. Sorry I mean six. In soi six there are a few bars including my favourite Pook Bar soi 6, there is So What Bar and Horny Bar as well as other ladyboys dotted around. Also if you walk to the bottom of Soi 5 you can catch the baht bus to Walking Street including soi BJ where Lita's bar is or get off at soi 13/1 for La Bamba, the house or Stringfellows. Same coming back, just a few minutes walk to Second Road and the baht bus will drop you off at the end off soi 5 when you ring the bell. Just give the baht bus 10 baht for the journey.

Mac Boutique Suites on soi 5. Stayed there 4 nights. No problem even with multiple guest. Large clean rooms 37 sq mts. Friendly staff. Convenient location as you can walk through a back entrance onto soi 11.

You mean Soi 7 I used that cutting onto soi 7 from when I stayed at Le Fenix on Sou 11 and have often thought of staying there. I may just give it a try next time.

Have a look at SM Grande just after the Dawin. Very similar to Omini but less outdated. It on agoda too. Years back It used to be a condo block and only with a year lease but they now do daily rooms too.

I prefer Hanrahans - a real sausage and a good load of beans. But it's rather expensive compared to Bus Stop so I would say Bus Stop gives the best value for money. Don't think I will go back to Charlies for breakfast.

I prefer it too as I don't eat eggs or tomatoes. They have a pick your own breakfast so I can get what I like and leave nothing on the plate at the end. Agree on the beans they give a large tub portion.

Also stayed there on my last week in November. I had Paris come up from Pattaya to spend the last two nights with me. Reception just rung me up to let me know she arrived. I went down to tell them she will be staying with me for my last couple of nights. When I checked out at 9am to go to the airport two days later, I asked is it ok for her to stay till checking out time ? They said no problem.
