  1. Did you sometimes meet Cartoon in your hotel's alley ?

I used to see a few ladyboys as a lot use PB Hotel just across and bit further down from Citrus. Did not see Cartoon but Bee was a freaqent visitor as well as many Cascade and FairyBar girls.

A few would seeme outside Citrus having a ciggy and walk over to say hi

  2. For what I can see on the map, it's about the same walking distance, maybe a few steps longer from Unico Express. For what I can read in your post, you don't walk fast or you walk with your bagage like me. :D

I do walk fast but along soi 3 it gets a bit packed with arabs standing about looking at stalls or waiting on the pavement, plus there is always that wait at the lights to cross Sukhumvit to soi 4

  3. Just my 1 baht (2 cents) information to this thread : I am used to Unico Express, 74 soi 3 Sukhumvit (Bangkok). It's a fairly cheap hotel with small and large rooms, all with A/C. They now have an acces to a swimming pool outside. The hotl has a new owner (an investment company) and is being renovated. I must admit, the larger was my room, the cheaper I paid. (Cheapest THB 900.00, highest : THB 1,600.00)

The personal is used to guests, particularly ladyboys. An ID is required for guests, the name is written in a guest book and guests must sign the book when the ID is given back. The person in charge of this operation at the reception in teh evening is often a ladyboy.

The hotel is fairly close to Nana Plaza. I usually walk there. The first time I was there, I made a ladyboy walk from Nana plaza to the hotel (although it's a long walk for somebody with high heeels).

I have passed by this hotel many times on my way in Bangkok and the last couple of times stayed in soi 11 alley leading on to soi 3 at Citrus Hotel. So Its a 10 to 15 minute walk from the hotel To Nana Plaza. And I am guessing it's more or less the same from Unico Express ?

  4. I have stayed at the hotel Ibis in Hua Hin a couple of times. It's pretty far from the main area, but very close to the beach and just a stroll down the side road. It has a nice big swimming pool and the rooms are just like any of the other Ibis hotels in Thailand. Built in 2012 I went there twice in 2013 . It's a motorcycle ride to Soi Binabaht where are the main night life area is.

My mate stayed at Bann Nilrath just around the corner from the nightlife area and it looked good but I had already booked Ibis Hotel again after going there with Michelle in March of that year.

  5. Do they make a decent coffee (I know, I know - not very hardcore BM but I do like a good cup early in the day.

Yeah I often have a coffee ( Bon Cafe ) and sit outside watching the world go by

If you dont want to eat, have a drink on the outside part and it is a good place to watch the world of soi 4

Agree it has a great view to watch the street and people rushing by while having a cigarette and a coffee

  6. thanx. i know they are lbs. the post is from 2014. this is 2015. things might have changed

It's a budget hotel in lower Sukhumvit. I think you'll find 99% of them to be ladyboy friendly. If unsure on a hotel ? Just fire them off a quick e mail. Only ever found one that had a joiners fee and that was Bell Aire in Soi 5

  7. Last trip in October 2014 I went in to Q Bar to meet my mate from Oldham, he as lived in Bangkok around 11 years or so now. We stayed in Q Bar for a couple of hours and their where quite a few people in that night though it was a weekend.

Passed by it a fair few times over the last few weeks and noticed it had changed its name to The District
