  1. It's not to bad. I used it a few years ago going from Ibis soi 4 to LK Metro in pattaya. But this one went to the airport and picked a lot of people up there. I think it cost me 350 baht back then.

I find taking the bus from Ekkamia to pattaya easier now and works out with sky train from Nana to Ekkamia 25 baht bus to pats 113 baht and 50 baht baht bus to hotel. Works out at 188 baht and is quicker than the bell bus.

Only difference is the walk to Nana BTS.

Both the bell bus and talking the bus from Ekkamia are good budget options.

I remember when I took the bell bus from Ibis the guy I was chatting with the day before booked a bus from Ibis hotel and his was 500 baht and he was on the same bus as me all the way.

  2. The one in Ploenchit was called Monaco serviced apartments back in Feb/March on my last trip. I stayed there for the first 7 nights and enjoyed my stay there.

They are ladyboy friendly and you can take more than one back at a time or if they are visiting you. Reception will ring your room to let you know you have a visitor

you will find my review here at the bottom of page 3

  3. "Dear Mr. Rouke ,

Warm greetings from ibis Bangkok Nana!

With reference to your request, we would like to thank you for your interest in our hotel.

Please to inform that our room rate is included for 2 persons in the room and maximum stay is 2 adults or 2 adults and 1 child (under 12 years old)"

This reply looks as if they are saying you can only have 2 adults or 2 adults & 1 child per room, as if you are arriving with more people on check in.

When you asked the question did you say that you would be bringing two people back for a night of fun ?

Anyone tried and succeed to bring two girls for LT at ibs Nana? Otherwise, which hotel near NEP is fairly reasonably priced, and allows two joiners for LT for no extra charge?

Just to clarify, when I mentioned "girls", I actually mean ladyboys or girls or combination of girl and ladyboy

In 2011, I took these two no extra charge and walked them out as an other was arriving who I took up to the room no questions asked.I have stayed here quite a few times since it opened and have never been charged for an extra guest

  4. I have often thought of staying there a few years back but never got around to it. I think it's a bit dated now and with Cheap new boutique hotels sprouting up all over the place. But the location is still good.

  5. Will be at the S 31 upon arrival, good to know and yes, they are listed as guest friendly. Anyone with experience at S 31???

My Mrs as stayed there. She is in a ladyboy cabaret show that does shows all over Thailand and they did a show at this hotel last November. Not sure who they did the show for ?

  6. I may miss spell the names a little but the ones I have visited and enjoyed Ali Hussians , Shahrazad, Petra, and Nasir Al-masri

There is a nice arabic restaurant in soi 2 called Arabesque and it just across from Solo hotel and Beruit in the Ploenchit centre both with I have yet to visit even though I stayed in soi 2 a couple of times.

  7. Soi Arab is Soi 3/1, not Soi 5. It's sometimes called that because many of the businesses and restaurants there cater to Arabs, and a majority of the people on the street are Arabic. There are some terrific restaurants along this Soi.

Agree 100% some fine Arabic restaurants that would match any other worldwide. I have also been using the hairdressers for a close cut throat shave. Its just on your right as you enter from Sukhumvit.

  8. Interesting Saxon, the street hookers also trawl near the night market @ Lumpini, which I found impossibly redundant and bizarre in the midst of Sodom. What's the point, I wondered to myself? They were actually pretty hot too, the nights I walked by. :)

It was 2008 the last time I went in the night bazzar, as I went down with the ex in early 2009 and the night bazzar was shut down as it reopened ?

  9. well i am here now, very nice hotel staff nice and friendly.

Room good size and new looking, the balcony is very small

but ok to have a smoke on.

Just one funny thing is a phone and mirror in the toilet?

Have a good trip :) and was that Bee from Guess bar I saw going in the hotel around 11pm :D

  10. It is a while I was not in Dawin, but two years ago there were no bum guns attached to the toilets. Did they install them recently?

They have installed them in the whole Dynasty group inc DIG, Dawin and Dynasty Inn in BKK

  11. Sleep Withinn Soi Rambuttri Bangkok

I stayed at the Sleep Withinn for two nights as I wanted to be around the backpacking area were it all started for me 22 years at a place called The Merry Vee which I did a quick review on. So I choose the Sleep Withinn as it looked like a nice clean place to stay and had a boutique hotel look about the place.

I arrived about one in the afternoon and checked in to my room. I found the room to be small but very clean. my first gripe is the bathroom sink is in the bedroom and not the bathroom. In the bathroom is the toilet and shower that are so close together you could have a shit and shower at the same time. It really is that small even smaller than the R Con in Pattaya.. Secon was the door to the balcony was open and when you shut it it would not lock (nevermind at least all the valuables were in the safe) There was a fridge, DVD player and tv in the room. The swimming pool on the roof was small and very few sunbeds. You have to pay for wifi here as well.

Now for the bad part. I checked alone and stated my girlfriend will be arriving tonight, no problem I was told. When she arrived I took her bags and went to the room with her After she had handed her ID card in for getting a photo copy for reception. She had been to Kanchanaburi with her friends and arrived at 10pm so after we took her bags we went out to get something to eat and then went for a foot massage at that time Michelle fell a sleep at the end of hers. As we were both tired we decided to call it night and head back to the hotel. In reception they shouted her over and asked for ID card Michelle said I already done when I check in. The receptionist asked why Michelle speak bad to her. I intervened and said she as not spoke bad and she is my girlfriend and not a my guest for the night. That was the first time second time after breackfast a receptionist asks again for ID card then again when went out for lunch, this is when the manager put the receptionist in her place for being rude and again at night by a security guard.

Michelle calls it the angry hotel when I refer to it

The hotel in located on Soi Rambuttri which for those of you that don't know is pararell to the Khao San so the location is ideal for backpackers and it is a better soi for good places to eat than Khao san rd it self. Also not far away from Grand Palace about 10 mins walk.

For those that do not know Michelle is a ladyboy and the hotel looked down there noses at her and they do not know her at all as Michelle is not a P4P ladyboy but a showgirl. She said we never go angry hotel again na

  12. When I had an apartment for long visits it was always nice having my ladyboy cook for us. I enjoyed going to Houy Kwang market with her to pick up things to cook. Then I got busted looking at another ladyboy so she would shop alone very quickly as she didn't trust me one bit.

Lets keep Huai Khwang market quite. We don't want it over run with farang mongers. There is a nice coffee shop there to sit at 3 to 5am and see the Cascade girls buying the bits and bobs. I nipped in a shop with Michelle as she was getting a dress from a friend and noticed Kim, Cat and a few others from Cascade in there in fact Kim stripped to her underwear to try a Paris Hilton copy dress on. There were a few others that just took off there dress and tried on outfits.

Damm shame I was with Michelle that night

  13. Thanks chaps , thinking of hua hin and Bangkok , for jays family to meet the children so if anyone has a ideas for family hotels with big pools would appreciate the info.

I stayed in the Ibis in Hua Hin just the other week and it was spot on with a big pool.

The assistant general manager at the Amari is one of us too. A good lad from Brisbane , who went with one of Michelle's friends one night. Might be an other option
