The early show was at 21:00 for 888 baht and the other shows were 1300 baht. So we went and had a quick dinner to make the early show. For that price you get all you can drink.
I could drink a lot more than 888 bahts worth in 90 mins. Might just have to stop by there one night in February

Never like a mini bar myself. Much prefer a fridge that I can fill up from a 7/11 with what I want and not with what they want.

I think all Ibis are almost identical in Thailand. The only diifference in Hua Hin was it had a balcony.
I think it's nice to try different areas away from Nana from time to time. The last three trips I have stayed away for a few nights be it Phrom phrong, On Nut or soi Rambuttri in the old town.
One of us needs to try The Riverside Ibis in Bangkok and the Siam one too though that's a bit more expensive.

Hi OneTrueSaxon,
I've got the room rates by using my PC rather than my mobile phone. It appears that the Hotel Web site doesn't work well with mobile phones. Thanks
Sorry about that as I meant to look it up and then totally forgot about it due to being busy at work.

Not sure he used Agoda. Just on phone at the moment so I can't check as yet. Will have a look when I finish work.

Better still sync all photos to all apple products you own via I cloud just go to settings and set it up.
Unless you are a married man and your wife's phone is synced as well. That would just be suicide

Any photo I take with the I phone now goes to a synced album in my Facebook as synced the phone photos to Facebook which are private. So I just go onto Facebook on I pad and they are there. Then just save them to I pad and can then hope to upload them to here. I have yet to upload as only had the I pad a few weeks

Hi Guys,
I am interested in Hotels in the Hua Hin that would be relativity central with a good restaurants close to the Beach. I've noticed a review of the Ibis and seems great but I want to know if anyone has been to Hua Hin recently and can give any advise. Also I would to know if the Hotel is LB friendly, thanks
My mate stays here a lot when he nips down for weekends and it's just on the main road and 5 mins walk from soi Binabaht where the night life is. As a swimming pool, rooms are good and new, He his like us and likes the LBS so its LB friendly as he took a lb back there one night I was out with him and said its no problem. I have stayed at Ibis twice but will now be using here instead.

Nice review Jamie

No but I can tell you it was an Amari hotel up until recently, as i have stayed in the two hotels next to it. Both last year and this year and it was an Amari hotel then.
-
I stayed here again for a couple of days in September but this time my view from the balcony was of a hotel next door and not the pool view but the room is just the same.
-
Big Plus it's near The Darkside for ladyboys and The Penalty Spot for the Football

I had a picture issue two days ago, but it's fine now

Always sad news when a plane goes down and many lives are lost.

Dawin Nana Hotel soi 4 Bangkok
Another guest their is a 500 baht fee.
It's now a 1000 baht for a second guest, That was last month I was told this after bringing Gift and Chompoo from Guess Bar
-
Nice find buddy and in a good location too with a nice price tag as well. I had not seen this place before only one called Sun City or something like that in the same soi by Le Fenix
-
1600 baht a night. A big plus for me was my mates office directly across from the hotel.
-
No seriously though its a nice find and will try next time I am in town as I have only eat at Mon Soon, Via Via and Soi 8 Kiwi bar. I often pop in Viva Viva bar as well and eat but they order from Mon Soon menu
-
And who took the picture?
The waitress whom brought you all that food
-
I remember you shooting off there to go and get your camera and showing us all the bag with the time on it.
Shame I missed Tacco's but to much drink from the night before prevented it.

@Mind Executive Suites Sukhumvit Soi 85
I have already posted the pictures above a couple of posts earlier the day I arrived. I had meant to do a report on the hotel there and then but with one thing another (drink & LBS mostly) I could not get it done.
Here is a brief outline. After arriving at 9.30 at the airport and I had not made an early room booking. I decided to take the airport link train and change at Phaya Thai BTS to the hotel in On Nut soi 85 It takes about 5 to 8 minutes walk from On Nut BTS to the hotel that is just inside soi 85
To my surprise I could check in to my 1 bed room suite straight away. First thing I noticed was how new things were and how clean it was. The rooms are of good design with a dining table for two at the far end of the room from the balcony Sofa (can be made in to a spare bed) and table with a flat screen tv & dvd player. Kitchen as everything you need including coffee, tea sugar and a kettle. Plus a microwave too. Its as a large refrigerator not a mini bar
There is a balcony with a sink to wash shorts etc after swimming or you can use the balcony to smoke if that's your thing.
Wifi was excellent in both bedroom and lounge room
"two flat screen tv's in one in bedroom and one in Lounge room. The same with Air con which was nice as you could leave lounge on low for breakfast in the morning. Rather than have to wait 10 - 15 minutes for it to cool. I was given two key cards and kept one in the key slot to keep the rooms at a low cool temp.
Bathroom as shower with a rain shower above.
LB friendly as I brought two back on my first night and one back each night after that for the five nights I stayed there.
Location. Well it's pretty far from Nana to walk but 15 mins BTS 37 baht and 70 to 80 baht coming back in a taxi

Citrus Hotel Sukhumvit Soi 13
Its just a short walk down soi 13 from Sukhumvit Road. A quite soi with a 7/11 a minute away from the hotel. Location good for Nana and Soi Cowboy 10/15 minute walk either way. Their is a short cut through the Ambassador Hotel in to soi 11 and agian through soi 11 in to soi 7, then the alley through to soi 5 and bingo your almost at Check Inn
The hotel is a new hotel as it is less than a year old ( opened in October 2012 )
Rooms very modern inc flat screen tv's , remote tablet control at the bed side for lighting air con. A large safe that would fit the biggest of laptops, Massive wardrobe with more draws than it needed. Bathroom as a power shower and a rain shower above. Also like many new hotels you can see it through the glass panel in the bed room. There is also a built in sofa by the window.
All staff are friendly and also friendly to LBS as they were polite and chatted to them. Security guards are all good. One waved Cassanova Kitty in to park her car when she gave me a lift back to the hotel. They even came out with umbrellas for us both of us.
Pool on the roof goes in a U shape. Staff where excellent there. Towels brought over to you the moment you arrive. Nice views of the city.
Free tuk tuk to the end of the soi.
Only a couple of bad points the soi itself is like an alley with a lot of car parks from hotels on soi 11 facing it. The roads a uneven and no pavements for most of it. Best to cut through Ambassador Hotel in to soi 11. The road outside the hotel dips and when the rain comes, it floods very fast and stays around for a while.
The other thing is there is a lot of building work going on behind the hotel. Though with the window shut and all the drink from Check Inn and Darkside meant I never heard a thing.

This hotel is in a great spot ,anyone stayed there ???
S31 & S33 both lb friendly. So I presume S15 should be. May stay there next trip as good location.
-
My recommendation would be the Amora NeoLux in Soi 31.
Stayed there myself as well. It's a real nice place

Their are fridges in Ibis soi 4 and a 7/11 just minutes away and you can full it up for a fraction of the price of a mini bar.
