It’s been a long time since I’ve stayed here. It was back in February 2009 and only stayed there on my last three nights. I stayed at the back annex. Though I do like having a coffee outside while people watching. The food back then was half decent though I much preferred Charlies Kitchen next door

Just over 10 years since I stayed in the suites there.
Decent size rooms but a bit dated then. Not sure what their like now

It's in a little side road opposite Terminal 21, very reasonably priced. Always a bit of a "TripAdvisor darling" type of place. Like most places, they were on their arse during the pandemic but starting to pick up again now. I remember going there to eat in 2020 just after restaurants had been allowed to reopen again and the owner and staff were so happy to see me, like they hadn't seen a customer in a while. Very popular with tourists, but not so much the locals.
Went there with Bkkladyboy one night after going to the cinema in T21. Hopefully I’ll catch up with him in January next month
edit.... just checked the film it was 3 days to kill Kevin Costner. So it was June 2014

Yeah back in 2011 had two nights there but it may have changed over the last 11 years. It’s on page 2 of my hotel reviews. Just click on the link

I've stayed at galleria 12 and it was crap
Never saw any with a balcony. I was merely pointing out how small the pool was

I just had a look on google maps street view and noticed a change in the name.

The only Hotel I can think of with both a swimming pool (small pool just a bit bigger than galleria 10) and a balcony that I’ve stayed at is @Mind Suites in On Nut where I’ve stayed a few times, taking a one bedroom suite.
Here’s my review from the hotel section

Decent enough rooms and good location

I bought this KS mini speaker about 10 years ago for £8.00 back then and it fits anywhere in a bag as its so small. It would even fit in your pocket . I find it ok for the balcony or the hotel room, but no more than that

Yeah it’s very much ladyboy friendly.
They probably wouldn’t even bat an eyelid if someone walked in with a goat (it is close to the Arab area after all) it’s been an institution for prostitution for nearly 60 years now.

Ibis styles. Yeah I thought you meant Ibis Soi 4 that opened in 2009

1 hour ago, george1515 said:No swimming pool to relax during the day sadly. Ibis on Soi 4 does have a rooftop pool and is closer to the action.
When did they add a pool ? I’ve stayed ibis Soi 4 half a dozen times though not for a long while now.

1 hour ago, Knobby said:I got budget for a very good 2 weeks short blast of a balls-out trip and yes having a flight already paid for is good. (unless the prices go up that much and I have to top it up)
Yeah I was thinking the same about having to top it up if the prices go sky high or I may use it for a multi trip around Europe in September when my niece gets married as she lives and works in Ibiza. I looked at a trip Manchester-Amsterdam-Madrid-Ibiza-Amsterdam-Manchester £425 and use the remainder for upgrades for leg room

I just fancied getting the money back is all.
Yeah I would have liked the cash as well in these precarious times. But having had my first vaccine on Thursday I’m starting to see a way out and have hope I’ll be back in Thailand this year

Oh well I got another year so will now have to sit and wait.
Do you still have the credit voucher ?
I couldn’t get my money back but happy they extended the credit to 31st December 2021 Bit of luck I’ll have Christmas in Bangkok or Pattaya

Just got off the phone with KLM and all vouchers issued from March 3rd 2020 are extended to 31st December 2021. As mine was the 4th March I’ve made it by one day
Here’s hoping Thailand is back open for tourists without quarantine by then.
