Yeah I still had mobile signal near the consulate but I then had to find a net cafe for my boss to fax me some paperwork, I'd gone too far inland so no more AIS, I grabbed a tuk tuk and told him to drive back towards the mekong until I could get back on the grid again!

I had to do a visa run to Lao last week so thought I'd check out the VIP bus option from Bangkok described by mardhi. I sat in the downstairs compartment which only houses 6 passengers, had a solo seat. Not only do they have a serious recline but they have buttons you press to give you a massage as well! We left Mo Chit at 20:30 and arrived in Mukdahan at about 06:45, I think we only stopped in Korat which was about 3 hours into the journey. The roads were very quiet, especially with the midnight curfew still in effect as well.

I stayed in one of the rooms, as per Mardhis description it did the job, real basic but new. Shower was nice and hot. Lack of room safe would be a deal breaker for many.

I have that one also OTS, I like the dating category and usually spit out a few phrases from that section in the bars for fun. A waste of time doing this at CIB though as the main language understood by the girls is Lao!

I sometimes find that after putting stuff through google translate, it makes even less sense than when I started.

I haven't been impressed with the MRT equivalent. Bought one for 230b and the first time I swiped it was already down nearly 100b for a 29b journey.

I stayed here last week on a quick overnight, I was impressed with the rooms and I'd only paid about 1200b on Agoda. Everything looked really new and the room was a decent size, very nice bathroom as well.

I took a smoking room at Legacy Express..... absolutely stank to high hell and the room didn't really have a window.

after the hack, Images had been become scattered across many different folders on the server, they are slowly being merged back into one again hence why old uploads are visible again.

I was assured yesterday things have been fixed but things only look worse from where I sit

when the site was hacked on 10th November the uploads folder for attachments was taken down, Invision have restored it from a backup but still not working properly

The pics should still be there but we are just awaiting a fix to make them display again. I'll hopefully have another update soon

Scottie- I have opened a ticket about the pictures issue as I have noticed it myself.

latest update from the site admin: Guys, In the morning of 22nd of October 2012 the forum as well the sister site BangkokLadyboys.net has suffered from a Exploit / Malware attack by a unknown third party. You may recognize any of the warnings below as both forums were quickly added to Google's Blacklist. Technicians deleted the Exploit / Malware immediately as well scanned all of the forum files. Both forums are clean. The warnings, how ever were viewable until long after - as a request to re-scan your site to Google takes time to be reviewed and approved. It's advised than any BMs visiting the site on the 22nd of October 2012 or after that hasn't had any active Virus Scanner / Firewall installed scan the computer for Malicious Software. Although the forum provides up to date security on it's servers unfortunately hackers are getting more savvy and therefore it's highly recommended for all BMs to have some kind of Internet Security / Firewall / Virus Scanner installed on their computer to be safe whilst surfing (any site). Spy is a good feature, I will see what I can find out about how and if it can also be enabled on here In the meantime there is always "View New Content" in the top right corner
