2 or more LB friendly hotel

Dawin Hotel will allow multiple guests, but charges some stupid amount for any beyond the first.

    Hacker attacked the forum?

Seriously, what's going on? Seems like the site is managed by a group of chimpanzees; certainly not by IT professionals. No disrespect to the mods, since site maintenance is not their job, but this is ridiculous. Off to the Pattaya site...

    Hacker attacked the forum?

Shit happens...I understand that. But being left in the dark about what happened and if anything at all is being done about it really sucks. It's a piss poor way of running a site. I'm beginning to understand why many key BMs defected and now post only on the Pattaya site. The Bangkok section of the Pattaya site is more up to date than the BKK site.

Marriot on Soi 2 (updated 2013)

Actually, the last time I stayed at the JW I felt like the rooms were starting to show their age. The furniture was getting a bit worn. The rooms vary in size, and I have had some that were huge and others about the size of the average room in the MG. JW isn't stricter, but it's possible that you will feel less comfortable, as most of the guests are business people, and you see only a handful of other obvious mongers (with GGs or LBs in tow) around the hotel. I go with the MG these days, but occasionally go over to the JW for one of their restaurants.

Indeed! WTF...All the photos are gone. Religious hackers at it again?

Marriot on Soi 2 (updated 2013)

Forget the Landmark; they have a bad reputation for making guests with "company" feel unwelcome. I would look at the JW (if you want upscale) or the Majestic Grande.

Marriot on Soi 2 (updated 2013)

Actually, I've stayed at the JW 5 times and they never charged a joiner fee. I think they are not used often because the hotel has gotten quite expensive. You would feel very conspicuous bringing a slutily-dressed LB or GG into the lobby. The clientele is mainly business people, and they dress well.

    Majestic Grande (updated 2014)

I also typically stay at the MG and have always brought the GB girls back to my room. The GB St rooms are fine,as far as they go, but I think the girls behave a bit differently when they get further away from the bar. It seems like they treat being in the ST rooms more like work and being in a nice hotel room more like a romantic getaway. At least that's my take on it.
  9. First trip to LOS? If that's the case, spend few days in Bangkok and a few in Pattaya. Save Phuket for another time. Explore the two cities and see what fits you best. I'm more of a BKK guy. I like big cities, good restaurants, etc. But I hit Pattaya from time to time for a change of pace. Either has more hot ladyboys than you could imagine if you've not been there.

    Majestic Grande (updated 2014)

I was at the MG just two weeks ago and also had a very nice stay. My guests were treated well, and I never detected any difference in how the staff treated my LB versus my GG guests. The breakfast buffet is good, and the rooms are very nice. It's not for the Cheap Charlie, but it's far from being as pricey as the JW Marriott up the street, and the rooms in the JW are getting a bit worn. Discounted rates are available through Agoda, although I found a special rate on the MG's website that was better than Agoda.

    Public Areas with Free Wifi

In Narita you are limited to 15 minutes access (I believe). I have a United Club membership, so have access to their clubs and affiliated (Star Alliance partner) clubs in other airports--Thai Airways in BKK, Asiana in Seoul, United or ANA in Narita, etc.--and all have complimentary internet access. If you have any kind of FF elite status and are traveling internationally, you often will be given free access to the club of the airline you are traveling with.

No problems with guests. All were treated with respect.

    Breakfast in soi 4

Once a trip, when I'm dying for a really good breakfast, I swallow hard and cough up the money for the buffet at the JW Marriott. Eggs cooked any style imaginable, bacon that actually tastes like something other than grease, fruit of every variety, oatmeal...pretty much whatever you'd like. Cost is about 4-5X what you'd pay at the Bus Stop, but it 5-10X better.

    Apple.

Both Yahoo Messenger and Microsoft Messenger have versions that allow audio and video chats across platforms. I prefer Skype to either, though. There are commercial applications that are better, but they are pricey. I use Cisco Telepresence Movi for work-related videoconferencing.

    Nana Hotels open to tourists

Either I'm a sociopath or I've simply reached a point where I no longer give a shit who sees me, whose path I cross, whether some stodgy tourists give looks of disapproval, etc. I have stayed at the JW Marriott and the Majestic Grande and brought in ladyboys without incident. I like both those places, but the JW has gotten a bit pricey, so I'll be at the MG for my next stay in Feb. I like being able to bring my Guess Bar guests right across the way to the MG.
  16. I've had good luck using this group to get info on the hotels: http://www.bangkokguestfriendlyhotels.com/ When I asked them about the Majestic Grande, they contacted the hotel on my behalf and then sent me a copy of the email correspondence confirming that I could bring 2 guests back with no fee, Pretty sweet service.
