  1. Just wondering how, and when you acquire advanced membership here. Can anyone fill me in on the process?

The reason I ask is that I've become slightly addicted to this board and after posting regularly over the last year, I'd like to see what I'm hoping is the inside dope on LOS. My next trip is booked for March and I want to make sure I can take advantage of the insider info I will gain so I can squeeze every last drop (of cum-crazed pleasure) that I can from the girls!

I'm hoping the initiated will take pity on a poor sex-starved undeserving Sméagol*!

    * I'm also hoping to gain extra credit for the Lord of the Rings reference!

  2. I had a flight cancelled last year. Qantas gave me a credit for future flights. I was ok with that as I usually live half the year in Sydney and will likely need to use them this year or next.

Since then I have been extra careful to book with airlines who seem to have a reasonable set of customer policies and I know deliver a good experience. Translate that to mean tier 1 airlines such a Qantas, Singapore Airlines, Swiss Air, etc. I also only book business and first-class due to the (perceived?) clout I get when changing/cancelling bookings. For example, I've just delayed my SIA flights to LOS from February to April as the outbreak in LOS does its thing. No charge to do so.

I also book these airlines because of the overall inflight service provided. Especially the flatbeds onboard.

I realise that this is a more expensive way to fly but after 3 decades of regular flying for work and pleasure, I've reached the point where I'm not happy squeezing into seats in the rear of the plane. I'm sure that if that was the only way I could get to LOS, then I'd still do it, but my own circumstances happily allow me to avoid having to choose this.

Spent one night here on the way back from Prachuap to Bangkok in late September 2019.

Booked a Zen Jacuzzi pool suite for $209aud. The pool was a shallow outdoor pool surrounded by greenery and seemingly unheated with little sun. The bed was the most comfortable on this trip and the dark quasi traditional decor made it instantly comfortable and quite intimate. The bathroom included a large shower cubicle with a decent sized bath. Constant hot water and pressure.

Didn't try the restaurant deciding to eat out at the  night market and stocked up on snacks and beer from the nearby 7-11 (what a surprise!) Missed breakfast by, erm, sleeping in late and found a food place that was quick & cheap.

The hotel has a bar at the back overlooking the sea and was pretty chilled place for a sunset beer as a dj played (at a reasonable volume) Cafe Del Mar-style tunes.

No, end-to-end encryption does not prevent Facebook from accessing WhatsApp chats

Just because WhatsApp is end to end encrypted doesn't mean it is the end all be all.

Metadata: Story Of How Whatsapp And Other Chat Apps Collect Data

WhatsApp is still collecting metadata and feeding it to Facebook.

"Whatsapp can collect data when, where, and with whom you communicate"

"Besides this, they collect information about your OS, browser information (think your search history on synced devices!), IP address, mobile network data, and phone number. And if they can’t obtain your phone number, they’ll obtain it when people message you, since WhatsApp has access to your friends’ activity data as well."

Shit - that's what you get for not keeping up with product information. I should have reviewed the WhatsApp conditions since FB took over.

Thanks for this 8V6RHd89DgJCMutgOOsv, much appreciated wake-up call!

Apple the computer, not the bird. Skype is great for intercontinental chatting, saves me lots on phone bills. But has anybody used alternative systems. Looking specifically that are Mac compliant, and can facilitate Mac to PC video communication. Cheers.

I'm a happy mac user of WhatsApp. Encrypted connections are a must for me and WhatsApp seems to be reliable on the phone and desktop. The only caveat is that I tend to contact the same group of people and we're all on the App already.

Where do you get 10% VAT from? Firstly Thailand has a VAT of 7% and secondly it is included in the price so not an added extra.

Website says VAT is not included in their prices, but jeez, let’s move on!

Where are the LB cock photos and stories in this thread??! That’s all I care about :stiffy:

    Dynasty Inn,

5 4 Sukhumvit Road Soi 4 Nanatai Klongtoey, Bangkok, Thailand, Bangkok 10110

I was at the Dynasty Inn hotel 3 nights at the beginning of August 2019.

I didn't find any review about this hotel which seems little discussed in this forum, contrary to the Dynasty Grande.

Why you (and I) would choose this unassuming little hotel (around 60 rooms)? To be in the heart of the action. At your right, count 60 meters to Nana Plaza via Hillary 4 and the Stumble Inn. If you take on your left, Hillary 2 is at 30 meters.

The reviews are good (8.3 on Booking) and this hotel is of course guest-friendly.

I asked for a non-smoking room at the back of the hotel (quiet rooms). 1 680 baht a night for 2 people. I didn't take the breakfast.

At the entrance of the hotel, the front bar gives you a look at the scene. Very useful to give a rendez-vous to a lb, take a drink and evaluate the chemistry. At night a few ladyboys stand on the sidewalk.

Food from the restaurant is known to be good. I didn't test it.

At the front desk, the hotel staff is friendly and helpful. It's a big plus. The people make the place. No walk of shame. Your guest will let its ID at the reception.

At the check-in they ask for a 500 baht cash deposit for the key.

The back annexe seems to face the rear of Nana Plaza but in the room there is no noise of music or whatever.

The room is quite new, clean and large. 26 square meters.

Aircon works well, a bit noisy. Comfortable big bed, safe (laptop friendly), fridge, ... Fast wifi.

    Complimentary water, coffee.

Bathroom is modern and clean with a hand hose.

All lbs of Nana Plaza know the hotel and will be happy to make the short walk for a session. So no short-time room to pay.

All in all I was positively surprised by the quality of this 3 star hotel, clean nice room, friendly staff, located in the heart of the action. I was pleased all the time I spent in that room, feeling well.

    Recommend strongly.

Note: Dynasty Grande, on Soi 6, belongs to the same owner and has pool and gym. Around 300/350 baht more expensive by night. Same kind of rooms. Better lobby, front desk not so friendly.

    Pictures :

    - the entrance of the hotel from soi 4, see the bar.

    - The room with the bed, flat tv, safe. The bathroom. The mirror (ladyboy not included in the package).

Useful review ARI23 and others. I'm always on the outlook for a good hotel near Nana that is also good value. This sounds perfect.

It is actually more like $90K AUD but it is for 20 years so 4 times as long a Elite Easy Access.

Good point about the visa length sjsharks. As to the cost, I think you forgot to add the compulsory fees you have to pay them on top. But what's 10K to the people likely to take up this visa? Not a lot I suspect.
