I had the Galleria 10 booked for a few days during my upcoming trip. Just received a rewards coupon from airbnb so have booked what looks like a very nice condo for a few nights. Pool etc.. (Will cancel the hotel). Close to CIB so that is a bonus. I do wonder if the girls are impressed by an expensive room?. Maybe as long as the place is clean and the bed is good, that is all the matters. Oh, along with the money!. Very close to Cabbages and Condoms. Anybody been there?. Some guy in a review said they give out condoms????. They are also LBGT etc friendly.

Yeah. On the flipside, I could have got a much cheaper one with some obscure airline such as Indigo for a lot less, but who knows, you might get stuck in Mumbai for 3 days. My flight is with ITA to Frankfurt and Thai to BKK. Booked that one because I might have had to cart a lot of luggage with me and they have a good luggage allowance, but that seems unlikely now thank goodness.

I saw a special on sale yesterday here in Aus. The Pullman. Think it was $479 AUD for 3 nights. That is cheap for a hotel of that standard. On Soi 23, near Soi Cowboy -
Yes, you have to go down to the long ramp down to the train station. Quite a few down there.

Well after much thought and deliberation, I have made an executive decision. After doodling around and finally booking Grand Business Inn, I have decided to make a change. Will spend the last night at Galleria on Suk 10, not far from CIB. Galleria has a pool. Would be nice to just chill out and relax. Anyway the plan centres around spending time with a few girls, maybe 2 or 3, Lily being one of them over the first 4 nights I am in BKK. Those few nights will be at Grand Business, then down to Pattaya for a few nights, then back to BKK for the last day and night before I am off to Saigon. I really want to go out with a bang, so plan to make it something to remember. If I prearrange it can I pay the bar fine and take the girl to my hotel around 2pm, before CIB opens?. Take her out to dinner etc, then maybe back to CIB for a few hours, before retiring back to the room for some gymnastics. Breakfast in the morning then off to the airport. Another trip over. -

What I want to know SA, is how do you know they are lb's? -
Well got news today that my customer might be flying to Italy to watch my event which means he will take the packages back with him and I will be free as a bird with no large luggage. Whoppee!, but I wish he had told me a few days ago. I could have booked a cheaper flight without having to worry about the luggage aspect. Never mind, musn't grumble.

When I was booking my ticket Rome to BKK there seemed to be a lot of flights arriving in BKK around 11.00am to 2.30ish. Unfortunately mine is one of them!. ITA then Thai Air. Not cheap either. With extras it was $840.00 AUD. I picked that one because of the 30kg luggage allowance.

Yes I know. It is where I picked up a little stick of dynamite in November. Sitting on a stool people watching when she took the bait. -

Well I checked out Maxims Inn on google earth. Not impressed, so bit the bullet and booked at my 1st choice, Grand Business Inn, Soi 11. Got a grand suite for 7800 baht for 4 nights. More than my scottish heritage would normally allow, but I like the location, the staff are great and the room I booked is large. More than enough to impress the CIB girls. Strangely the Grand suite was the same price as the smaller room. I have 4 nights for the first spell and 3 more when I return after visiting Pattaya. I do like the look on the front desk staff's face when I turn up with different girls each night. As that old advert said, "priceless". The other benefit is that I can get my tasty 99 baht burgers on the corner about 50 meters away!. -

I checked out Hotel La Petite Salil. Is that the one?. The superior room looks ok. Only problem is that they dont have a free cancellation policy. I always like to have a safety net if plans change. -

Haha, you got it right sydney.. I must say I enjoyed staying at Grand Business Inn. They helped me out when Thai Airways stuffed up my flight, but I think I can do better, value wise now. I dont want to be further away from CIB than Soi 7. Lily is such a small thing, I dont want to tucker her out with a long walk!. -

Somewhere less than 1600 baht roughly, approximately. -
Best burgers I had were 10 meters up Soi 11 on the right. A guy about 19 and I think his sister, making burgers in a small stall in front of a small hotel. You can take your food up to the eating area in the hotel no problem if it is raining etc. Now to the burgers. 99 baht for the small and 149 b for the large. Small is enough for me. Very tasty too. If you are used to Big Mac's you may not like them. These are tasty!. To top it off there was a pretty girl serving juice from a cart at the kerb right next to them.

I could not complain about Grand Business Inn, Soi 11. Prices good and rooms good. Executive,(hate that word), suite was great.

Top English Breakfast/Fry up places
Long John replied to Girthworm Jim's topic in Restaurants, Places to Eat and nightlife
Sort of on this topic. Do you guys eat a mix of Thai and western or stick to one?. I tend to mix but do like the English breakfast especially if it is a brunch. Say after 10.30. -
I have a set of those arriving in the next day or so. I had to .My old MP3 player died, so I thought it about time to upgrade. Had Sony on the player. I do enjoy listening to music while flying so doing that as well as blocking out most of the plane noise is a bonus. Now to load up the phone with music. Ideas on the best way to do that?. The MP3 had a good collection but you start to replay some when travelling a long way as we do living on the underside of the world. 25 to 30 hours to Europe etc. I have no problem with a collection. Anything goes, within reason. Classical, rock,(Led Zeppelin etc), Beatle, Prince, Stones, you name it. A likeing for Sting too. Here is one I really do like when he teams up with Stevie Wonder. great arrangement.
