Yep, had private treatment in the Uk and it is incredibly expensive which is why so many Brits opt to travel abroad for their treatment.

I know that in Thailand the health care comes at a price and the service and expertise they can offer dictates the cost of your treatment. Thus said, on the occasions I have had to have treatment , mainly for food poisoning and dental stuff, it was almost like being in a 5 star hotel. The NHS in the UK is free and without doubt provides fantastic and revolutionary treatment but the care and service is awful by comparison.

I guess it is either down to their opportunist greed or that they don't want to be seen as a conveyor belt to constant GG'S and LB's going through the lobby. I presume you have a daily allowance of towels/toiletries/water etc so there is no extra burden on the house keeping?

That is an interesting challenge Thanks....my only observation would be that even if you find a relatively untapped area of bars with LB's and GG's working them you will still be treated as farang the same you would in NEP or cowboy. I guess though, a welcome break from the the stereotypical frequenters of such places wouldn't be a bad thing. I would ask that if you have luck with your findings to post it here but you always do and it's always appreciated.

Yeah , Hooters is now where the original coffee shop and disco used to be, the Hotel also are the landlords of the Strikers sports bar at the back of the car park. I guess in this respect the Hotel has moved with the times even if their accommodation is slowly dragging itself into the new millennium!

I would stay clear of the pop up clinics down Soi 3 SAG ...They are still plying their trade at 2am! One evening at this time I watched three staff members come out wearing their full teeth pulling regalia and surgical masks to go down to 7/11!!

I stayed there myself in January and was well looked after. The room was a refurbished one and great value. Many of the BM's here don't seem to rate it but for me it ticks all boxes.
