    Boss Suites (updated 2014)

I booked three nights here in March and since I have only seen recomendations for this place I thought I would write up my stay so you could check it out. Pros wifi in room see in bathroom pool excellent sized room in room safe big shower desk takes guests id tuk tuk service to nana station Cons location I booked it off of agoda while I was in Pattaya. The only problem I had was when I showed up they wanted the voucher which I need access to a pc with a printer. I tried explaining that I would need the pc in the lobby to get them the voucher but they poked around their computer and found the reservation so didn't need it. They greet you with a glass of juice for you while you are checking in I could have used a rag to wipe the sweat down but a good welcome just the same. I had booked for three nights on agoda and got a deal on it so not sure what the rates normally are on this room maybe the same maybe higher never really checked prices on this one before so not sure. It came out to around $137 which was $40 cheaper than I payed for Heaven@4 a week earlier. I think this is a better hotel overall but the location is the one negative which might keep me away from it. It is quite a ways down soi 4 actually you get down to Worburi and take the side street next to it down to the end and find yourself at Boss Suites. I have a few photos of the area if anyone wants a little clarification on that. It isn't to far for me to walk and I took a girl from nana two nights in a row and walked her down there with no complaints but I can see you getting some over it. I just thought it was to close to get a taxi or motorcycle taxi down there but if you want to be nice to the girl I suppose you can. I never really checked into the tuk tuk but I suppose you should be able to ring them and get a pick up but I would rather do the walk myself. I had to laugh as every time I left the hotel i got the taxi proposition from the guys in front of the worburi. I would never take a taxi that sits in front of a place as they like to jack you up on the price and even way down here you have taxis driving by you so its not a problem to get a metered one. That's about all I can think of right now so here are some pics for you.

    Hanrahans Bar soi 4 Bangkok

Last trip this was my morning stop for breakfast. I liked it better than most places I have tried and usually not to far from where I am staying while in BKK.

    Boss Suites (updated 2014)

Stayed there again for three nights and can't really add anything to the original review other than it is a bit to far to walk for the high heeled girls. The tuk tuk only runs till 9pm so you might need other options. I did walk on back from check in bar and by the time we got there her feet were killing her.

    Boss Suites (updated 2014)

I did like the place. I am not sure about location as for every pro there is a con to it. I think the tuk tuk will take you all the way to the BTS station but would probably drop you anywhere on Soi 4. I think but am not sure that it quits running at midnight. I liked the room size and bathroom it had. It did have a pool and it looked nice but never used it as it is not my thing. I would have no problem staying again and probably will.
  8. have made a stop there on all my trips. always been a lunch time place for me but now that you mention the eye candy at night I should change that up next trip.
  9. well he said 145 a night so after conversion around 4200 baht

Is the Rose Hotel in Silom LB friendly?

I did a search on www.bangkok-addicts.com forum and found a post that states that it is boy friendly so it should be a go for ladyboys and girls as well. The silom area has a few gay bars so if they let in the boys they should let in the rest but you never know. I think it would be better if you asked them about it rather than be unsure.

    World Inn

stayed there once myself for a night. A decent value for a night or two but not for a long stay. I did not have the chair but some kind built in seat which would have been even less comfortable. I was in the building across the street from the main desk. If you are not into running your guest by the front desk you do not need to on this side as you get a pass key for the security door to get you in the building and a room key for your room. I don't have any pics but not much different from your room.

Anyone stayed at Woraburi or Swiss Park before?

you could also check out Boss Suites. I stayed a couple of nights on my last trip and thought the place was great. It also has a pool. I looked at it and that was enough for me. I have a thread started on it if you want to check it out but here are a couple of pics of the room. It is very near the Worburi and a little more expensive but I got a good deal for my stay.

    Heaven@4 (updated 2013)

I brought a girl back and she got excited about taking a bath which was okay but you can not fit me and a girl in that tub. We tried and it woulda worked if she sat on my lap. Had to laugh as I had never used one before and as she was filling the tub and taking a bath she asked what the jets were for and I decided to show her. Just a warning do not turn the jets on until you have water over them unless you want the whole bathroom to explode in suds which wasn't so bad except for the faceful I took. The look on her face was priceless though.

    Heaven@4 (updated 2013)

Booked three nights in march with Heaven@4 again. I booked the deluxe room cause I wanted to see the what the balcony was all about. I got in very late due to a friend wanting to meet up at the airport to share the taxi in to soi 4. I got in and found out they gave my room away which imediately pissed me off but they upgraded me to the executive suite for my stay so I couldn't complain.I thought I would throw up pics of the room so if you are interested in what it looks like you can check it out. It seems they have taken to putting stain glass in the windows of the bathroom probably since the last room I had there the blinds ripped out of the ceiling. The safe is big enough for a netbook but not a laptop. I have left a laptop in a laptop case and never had a problem with it in two other stays. This room has a jacuzi tub so if you like that sort of thing then it would be another plus for you. I wouldn't spend the extra money for this room as I am happy with the superior room myself. It did have more space in this room with a couch, chair, and tub in the bathroom as well as shower.

Bangkok or Pattaya to Siem Reap

This info is from Frommer's Train There is no international train routes into Cambodia Air Can fly into Phnom Penh(PNH) or Siem Reap(REP) It is noted that if flying into Siem Reap that Bangkok Airways has a monopoly on all direct flights between Bangkok and Siem Reap so it is cheaper if on a budget to fly to Phnom Pehn and then take boat or bus to Siem Reap. Bus Take bus from Morchit northern bus terminal to Aranyaprathet. The trip takes five hours. Once there take a tuk tuk to border for 50 to 100bht. From there you have an option of bus, shared or private taxi, or a seat in a crowed pickup truck. There is a free shuttle bus from the border to the place where the buses and taxis are parked. Many choose to spend the night at Aranyaprathet to break up the journey. It takes between 2 and 3 hours to get to Siem Reap. Again this info comes right out of the Frommer's book I have not done a trip there from Thailand. I have only flown in from Vietnam myself. I hope this helps you out.

    Heaven@4 (updated 2013)

Have three nights again here and went with a balcony room this time so will see how it is soon
  19. I have used Agoda several times and like it for many of the same reasons Slam man stated. I have also looked at Tims site and the comparisons I was doing showed little difference but not always the case so worth checking out as well. Agoda is also great for the map feature. You can look at any hotel and bring up the map and navigate around the area you want to stay in which will show all the hotels they deal with also states prices so if you see one you like you can click on it to get the details instead of going through the entire list and possibly missing one or two in the area you want.

    The Green View

Here is a review of a Pattaya hotel I stayed at last year. I stayed for 5 nights in May. I booked through Agoda for $198.75. So it was around 39 bucks a day which at the time was around 1100bht. I would not stay there again unless the price came down to around 800bht or less. It was a nice building and close to walking street with amenities that I wanted but room was very basic and a bit run down for the price. If you want to be close to walking street and gogos this would be a good place to stay if price was better. here are some pics for you to see what I mean Just for your info for those of you who travel on to Pattaya from Bangkok

    LB friendly hotels

Another resource you could use is this link http://www.wgfriendly.com/ I would not say this is a sure fire way to find a hotel either but can be used to narrow down your choices. Find something there or here and ask about it if you do not see a reveiw. Someone here may be able to give the info you need but you should look for hotels according to your needs as my needs are different than yours my choice of stay may be a nightmare for you.

    Flight ratings (2015 updates)

some great recommondations unfortunately none of them are really an option for most of us in the US. I am going over for my third trip to BKK and am going to fly with Delta again. I hate delta as well as most other us based airlines as they are dominated by unions which means they are all about themselves and not customer service. The only reason I went with them is travel time. I booked with them for a little bit better price than even the search sites and have less travel time. I will probably regret it but I was able to get aisle seats on every flight so I can get up whenever I want also a good reason to go with them. I would rather go with Korean air as I did on my second trip. The service was great and it seemed like they had twice as many flight attendants as the us airlines. They were also very cute. The seats are a little tight on space though. I would go with them again if the price was right but will not go out of my way since it means flying to Chicago then flying on from there which is an hour in the wrong direction. Many of the good airlines to fly with are this way since MSP is not a major airport not all of the carriers come this way but will link a flight to Chicago or other big airport. That is yet another reason why I went with Delta as MSP is one of their hubs they inherited from Northwest when they merged so good flights out of there at times. It is only out of convience that I will fly with the US carriers at all. I wish I could fly with Thai Air as I had a couple of short flights in SEA which were great.

    Nana Hotels open to tourists

I stayed here as well and it is probably what you are looking for.It has good location gg and lb friendly. You may like the shower as well. I think there should be a thread on it here in the hotel section. I have put up some pics on there from my stay as well as others. I would book through agoda or call to book to see what kind of deal you can get. I booked through agoda and got a pretty good deal.
