The Atrium, our all day dining restaurant located off our lobby, the Greenhouse Noodle and Congee restaurant and outdoor Terrace both located on the ground level will undergo a complete transformation to provide an even more amazing dining experience at these popular restaurants. During the period of June 10th to November 30th, breakfast will be served at the award winning Rib Room & Bar Steakhouse located on the 31st floor. All other services remain fully operational and we thank you in advance for your support and understanding.”

I have reservation at the landmark for the middle of next month but note some works were being done out the front , does anyone know if or when they are due to be finished ?

Dynasty Grande, Landmark, Dream etc. I am looking at Soi 11. Hotel 11 or the Mercure. Anyone have experience and information of these hotels?
I have seen the hotel Legacy Suites Soi 29, on Booking.com with great rates and the facilities looks very good. Does anyone have experience of this hotel? Would it become a bit of a drag returning there early in the morning?I have stayed at Mercure great hotel good facilities good pool area and gym no hassle bringing guests in at any time i would definitely stay there again and probably more so with Cindys now being close by.

1 - Stumble Inn good atmosphere and play a good mix of good music
2- Fitzgeralds ( hanrahanns) - Love the breakfast and just watching it all warming up
3- Hooters - not because of the bar just like grabbing a stool at the front and watching the action from the other side of the road.

Stayed her recently for 3 nights, first time sating soi 11 and thought the location was great easy access to everywhere, 15/20 minute walk to soi 4 and easy access to soi 10 and CIB over the foot bridge, a lot going on with building works on the soi but not an issue certainly no noise could be heard from the Hotel rooms and even lying by the pool was peaceful.
Rooms are big an well appointed nice sofa by the window , great big beds comfortable and good mattress, in room safe, white robe and asylum slippers, mini bar was disappointing, in fact non existent only complimentary bottles of water replaced daily otherwise empty. Big walk in shower plenty of room for sharing, bathroom on a whole is big, good bum gun, only thing i didn't like was the toilet flusher was on the left hand side low down on the toilet which means bending over the used toilet to flush which is a bad design.
Good Gym with plenty equipment for a short stay but would not be much good if you were into heavy lifting dumbells only go up to 20KG, Pool/bar area is a good size and although a few people using it could always get a bed/chair to sit back and be amused by the Chinese trying to swim, presume they don't have a kids swim programme back home never seen anything like it.
Access to floors is card only via the lift, no issues with guests and ID never taken although i did meet all my guests in the lobby if i wasn't arriving back with them, very busy Hotel with plenty of people coming and going so if you want privacy when bring back your guests you wont get it here.
Enjoyed my time here and would definitely stay again, i didn't get the chance to go to the Bars or Nightclubs so couldn't comment on them but defiantly a lot going on in this area and a Hilary 3 straight across from the hotel.

I stayed there last November on the Novotel side, great location roof top pool and bar are also very good New hotel all nice and clean no complaints and would stay again.
-
Thanks for that i did search but it didn't come up , definitely an option just though it looked to good for the rates being charged, but has everything i need.
-
Anyone got any info on this place ?
-
Yes very cute.....is she a little bit Nutty ?
-
I stayed Novotel last year and IBIS shares all the facilities , pool Gym etc, different reception area that leads to the same lifts so apart from the upgraded rooms its all good and great location.

No problem for guests, I spent the night there with Ammy a freelancer who used to work outside mcds on suk.
Apparently the now charge you if they copy ID - What is you guest policy? : Hotel allow you bring joiner in the room but not over night and we have additional charge THB 20.- for copy ID or passport.

Are most hotels not ingrained with hookers sweat in BKK ? Is it really a dive ?

Thanks for all the info guys really appreciate it, take on board about the distance up the soil so looking at Ambassador as it has good facilities , have inquired about there guest policy.

I stayed at Citadines soi 11 a number of times over the years, but unless you get a room at the back on the 7th or 8th floor you may have problems sleeping as the bars in the area play the music at full blast until about 0200.
If you are a late night type, then it wont be a problem, but believe me, any room below the 7th floor will require ear plugs if you want to sleep before 0200-0300.
I also found it to be quite a walk in the heat or the rain to Sukhumvit, as the pavements can get crowded and there is a lot of traffic.
I moved over to the Citadines on soi 8, which is a lot quieter and has a free 24 hour tuk tuk to Sukhumvit. Plus it is cheaper.
OTS is correct about Citrus Suites, whilst I have never stayed there, its about the same standard as Citadines and is in a quieter location, so between the 2, if you want to stay on soi 11, then I'd go with the Citrus Suites.
Cheers

This looks good and definately an option, seems very good value for what you get or is it a bit dated ?

It's not much more than a regular room and the suites have 2 full bathrooms, which comes in very handy when you bring guests into your room.
Last December, I stayed at Solitaire which is on Soi 11 where it veers off to Soi 13. This place is not bad and the rooms have gigantic beds - larger than king size and I had never come across them before. You can easily sleep with 3 ladyboys in one bed if you need. The restaurant is pretty lame, but that's no big deal because Soi 11 has many places to eat. Below is a thread on Solitaire - despite qualms, I would stay there again because of its location and value.
Last but not least is Grand Swiss Hotel, which I really like. It's a Compass property like the various Citrus hotels and every one of their places offer a lot of bang for the buck. Below is a review I wrote a few years ago. If you read it all the way through you will come across a little treat at the end, 555. Hope this helps and good luck.
Thanks for this and i did read all way to the end after i had scrolled down for the treat first

Any good recommendations for Hotels on soi 11 wont arrive until November but like to get it organised.

Update on this after a recent stay, I was in the building with the reception, you do not need to go past reception just turn left when through the main door and free access to the lifts, so guests arriving own their own or if you are bringing someone back don't even get noticed.
Rooms are spacious beds are huge i was on the 14th floor over looking the pool area, Huge Glass window, safe in room, good shower plenty of hot/cold water and good power , location just off soi 11 is great no noticeable noise although i wasn't an early bedder so couldn't comment on noise levels between 10.00 & 03.00. Very Clean and tidy good room service, with buttons on inside to request room service or do not disturb no need to faf about with cards on door handles which some smart arse usually pulls of anyway thinking they are funny. Roof top bar is very nice, i didn't get down to the pool or use the Gym but both looked more that adequate for a short stay.
I would definitely stay here again only niggles to note -small lampshade low down above the middle of the bed headboard is a nuisance kept banging my head off it and the position/height of the towel rail in the bathroom is dangerous as i cut my head on it getting off the toilet (sober) and i am off average height.
