Taxi service from Sukhumvit to Pattaya?
ladypat65 replied to pointplace's topic in Transport and Travel
Nams taxi service http://www.namstaxipattaya.com/ -
If your on the ground i would really appriecate an update of what exactly is going on and if it is only confined to deluxe rooms. Ask for Bonnie or Mint on the front desk and they will answer any questions you have. When work starting, how long etc.

ladypat65 replied to Mattski3232's topic in Transport and Travel
Your making life difficult for yourself. Get the airport train at 60 baht to Phada Tai then change onto bts to get to nana. -

https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g293916-d3712168-Reviews-Chef_Bar-Bangkok.html Have been told this place is the nuts. Will be going on my next trip. All homemade including ketchup.

I don't stay at Adelphi Suites now because i am friendly with the staff at reception and in the monsoon restaurant and i would find it a bit awkward bringing back guests. However, it is all part of Bangkok life and no one cares.

I would think you will be lucky to get anything half decent for that sort of money. Especially when the exchange rate is so bad.

Top 5 Restaurants within walking distance of Nana
ladypat65 replied to pointplace's topic in Restaurants, Places to Eat and nightlife
Terminal 21 higher floor from memory (cinema on very top) and use voucher system and refund what you don't need. For all our complaints about exchange rates, Bangkok offers everything from street food upto high end dining and everything in between. We all have the option of cutting our cloths accordingly if necessary. -
Top 5 Restaurants within walking distance of Nana
ladypat65 replied to pointplace's topic in Restaurants, Places to Eat and nightlife
Plenty of choice for sure. Siam would be my pick and the food offerings on centralworld look as good if not better. I believe the food court at the top of terminal 21 is as cheap as chips. -
Some of the ladyboys i know in Bangkok that also escorted say they have been everywhere. Madarin Oriental etc. High rollers normally order their squeeze in to avoid any embaressement.

Where? Thanks

Go to Mrs Balbirs for 700 baht. Have read about the punjab grill and believe it is very good. With sterling heading towards 40 baht, i will stick to the more economical dining options in Bangkok. The fraser suites indian is also meant to be very good.

Your wasted on this forum. In 7 paragraphs you have summed up what hours of surfing could not. Thanks.

Anyone give me a glue as the simplest tablet etc for replacing desktop or laptop. Used for general surfing, emailing, watching movies etc. Powerful but no need for gaming etc. Ipad or surface pro maybe?
-
Will you be streaming movies or downloading them? If you want to download anything, don't get an iPad... If you just want to stream from websites, surf the web and check emial... okay iPad is an okay option. But as soon as you run into a situation where you want to connect to a TV or monitor via HDMI, use a USB device or download a full program like Word or Excel, you'll wish you hadn't. My iPad basically gathers dust because it doesn't do anything my iPhone can't, and it can't do anything that my tablet/laptop hybrid can. Thanks for all your help. Why is an ipad bad for downloading? Clash of software? My background is a windows 7 desktop. I want basic things like email ,surfing, downloading (porn) filling in web based forms etc, streaming movies and sports.

Don't know about sukhumuvit but the malls have some great offerings. Japanese not totally my thing but you will find places in terminal 21. Siam food court bottom of siam centre. There is also a very impressive looking buffet in centralworld around the cinema area. Double check before you go but there should be plenty of offerings. -
Would think you will get toasted at the pool in the adelphi suites in soi 8. I could be wrong.

Thanks for this not easy to get a good burger. Will be trying this place next time - http://www.pullmanbangkokhotelg.com/restaurants-bars/25-degrees-burger-wine-liquor-bar/ meant to be good.

Nearest BTS to Ari please?

I can't justify paying 5 star pricing. Stayed at the Landmark club rooms first time i visited Bangkok 4 years ago. Very nice but for a cosy and friendly hotel the Adelphi suites on soi 8 is hard to beat. Close to everything but a bit more soi atmosphere. Good food and drink and a mix of ex pats, travellers from all over the world and local business farangs. Think they may tried to put there pricing up.
