Excellent review Jeimii & great pics too I stayed in the same room (Executive Suite) only $115 Aust breakfast included Great hotel & great value, i'll be staying there again on my next trip in Nov.

I stayed at Pattaya Marriott March 2013, It was a very disappointing experience, i've stayed at a few other Marriott hotels & this one just didnt measure up. The rooms are very old & tired looking, it felt like i was staying in a motel not a 5star resort For that price i would highly recommend the Pattaya Hilton , the comparison is like night & day

Great price for a great location Would you stay there again? Good review Siam Man cheers mate

@Aussierod That walkover bridge came in handy on a few nights when i was stumbling home I used to cross the road but now its closed off with wires running alomg the median strip. S15 is in a great location I'm staying at Phachara Suites & Adelphi Suites on my next visit They look very good from what ive seen on Agoda, not too sure about location Anyone stayed at either of these hotels?

Stayed 4 nights @ S15 on Sukhumvit early November $78(Aust) for a Junior Suite (35sq m) on 3rd floor Pros: - Great location, right on Sukhumvit between Sofitel & Westin Close to Asok & Nana BTS, nightclubs, Soi Cowboy - Ladyboy/guest friendly - plenty of freelancers at your doorstep - Decent size room, huge bed with spacious modern bathroom - Buffet breakfast is good but not a huge variety Cons: - a bit a of a long walk to Nana Plaza & Guess bar - Windows are not soundproof, i could hear street noise at 6am even with the curtains & shutters closed (could be a problem for light sleepers) - lighting in room is a bit dim even with ALL the lights switched on - No swimming pool - Joke Gym (size of a walk in wardrobe) http://www.agoda.com/s15-sukhumvit-hotel/hotel/bangkok-th.html Check the link above for pics (i forgort how to post photos!) Overall i enjoyed my stay here, best thing about S15 is the price & location, Same location as Westin & Sofitel for half the price ! i'd use S15 again if the price is right, but theres plenty of better hotels around Sukhumvit. cheers

@Siam Man Yes the sun lounges are in the water (pool) Didn't get a chance to use the pool as I was only there 2 nights Returning the T21 on Sat from Pattaya, Will checkout the pool & gym facilities , take a few more pics I think I was lucky to get the upgrade because all the regular rooms were full, Cheers

No worries mate Im sure even grande deluxe room will be excellent Hey you may get lucky like me & get a free upgrade to a suite.

Some pics of my room 23rd floor at Centre Point Terminal 21 Located above Terminal 21 shopping mall Overlooking Soi Cowboy This is a Deluxe Suite i got a free upgrade from a Deluxe room which was $125 Aust , free brkfst & wifi Very plush room & great value

I just checked in last night got a free upgrade to a suite ! I brought back ladyboy to the loom, no problem. HUGE lounge room, Bedroom, Bathroom equiped with Japanese toilet (Fully automated) The toilet will wash your arse inside & out & blow dry it too Heated toilet seat The room was $125 bkfst included free wifi on Agoda.com Brand new hotel, all modern furnishing, Large fridge, 2 Big screen tvs, Fantastic room, I will post photos later, (you can see pics on Agoda) Right next to Asok BTS, only downside is its a bit of a hike to NanaPlaza, though i dont mind the walk. Restaurant in a bit small, but food is pretty good. I usually stay at Majestic Grande, but for the same price this hotel is way better I'd stay here again no problem cheers

I will be staying there this Thursday > Saturday Will post some pics & a report cheers

I have a small 10" HP Mini notebook which i use for travel its very compact & lightweight, only cost me $330 Aust I played around with an iPad at the Apple store, I found it to be very similar to my iPhone, Is there any real advantage the iPad has over a Notebook? I'm not sure if i should get one or wait for the next new gadget. Think i'll stick with my HP mini for now cheers

Fantastic link Creed +1 thanks for sharing, much appreciated I have flown with many different airlines & have noticed the seats on Airbus flights are more comfortable than Boeing's (with one exception) Worst flight i've had was Cathay Pacific Melb-HK It was a new Airbus that had the "new" non-reclining seats The seat remains upright & the cushion 'reclines/slides-down i got a SORE BACK! Thanks alot Cathay Pacific !! Best flight ive had was with Emirates Melb-Dubai Airbus, the seats were SO comfortable, great food/service. Return flight was on a Boeing, very uncomfortable seats. I wanna try Singapore on my next trip, heard many good reviews. cheers cheers

Place To Eat Around Nanaplaza
Jamie replied to angelo's topic in Restaurants, Places to Eat and nightlife
@ KLW i am not claiming to have "superior knowledge" of BKK street food or any other topics regarding BKK or LB's. I am sharing my thoughts & experiences from my trip, just like everyone else. Thats the whole point of this forum, encourage everyone to post what they have experienced in BKK , what they like/dislike etc I respect what you & other BM's have to say & appreciate everyones perspective on all things LB & BKK. This is after all BKK LB FORUM not ""Wikipedia" cheers -
Place To Eat Around Nanaplaza
Jamie replied to angelo's topic in Restaurants, Places to Eat and nightlife
I agree Lotusguy everywhere i travel i like to try the "street-food" For me it is like trying the local version of "fast-food" Its like going to New York & having a Pretzel or Hot-Dog from a street vendor Also as a general rule if you see a restaurant full of locals the food is usually very good. I would rather try local street food than go to McD's or KFC etc. @ KLW maybe as a local you take the street food for granted? but me as a tourist, i see street food as part of the whole travel experience, It may not win any "Michelin Star" but its very tasty & satisfying after a hard night of mongering cheers guys -
Place To Eat Around Nanaplaza
Jamie replied to angelo's topic in Restaurants, Places to Eat and nightlife
If you want a great Thai meal, just ask your LB to take you to her favorite place. 2 of my LB friends from Cascade took me for a late dinner after work, it was a street vendor /restaurant on Suk opposite Guess2, excellent meals & so cheap too! -
Great report LULT +1 If only all hotel reviews were this good great pics too, looks really good for the price. cheers mate
