I have been to a few and have vlogged from them
-
I have stayed there a few times and done some vlogs from there. I like it and would use again. 7-11 nearly next door with a good laundry shop also. Walking distance from Nana BTS and more importantly the CIRB !!

Google maps does a lot of things but nobody uses it properly.

I sent an e mail to thai airways to just confirm that I dont need to do anything and I am on the next flight. I await a reply. If I do the same trip another year I may try another airline. I preffer going from BKK as I can just use the airport rail link which is nice, easy and cheap. I am lazy to get a taxi and goto Don Muang 555

Thai airways have done it again , Got am e mail from them today unusual I thought. Last year my flight to Chiang Mai was cancelled and was then told I was going on the next flight. So biggie just meant more time at BKK so I used the food court there with fellow BM patnya. Fastfoward to this year and once again Thai airways have cancelled a flight, this time its the return flight from CMX to BKK. Leaving 2 hours later. Would have liked the late morning flight as it would have meant i get back into BKK and can check into hotel and freshen up,get some grub and them be ready for action that evening. Now am on the 3.30pm flight so not that bad but just means going out later etc.I suppose I can have a big lunch first to make up for it. Then hit my next hotel, shower then out to CIB etc. Makes you wonder if all internal Thai flights are like this?

Might just be Thai airways?

Using google maps put the map right over Suvarnibhumi Then in the search box just type hotel. You shoudl see what I am an it will then flag up all nearby hotels. Some rooms start at £16 per night !

Saw it on stick boy https://www.stickboybangkok.com/opinion/tourists-wont-tracked-special-sim-cards/ Like he says lots of ways around it. And a shit idea. Already on tripadvisor forums the "i dont mind, I am not doing anything wrong" replies have started. Well for me i would not like to be tracked anymore than I already am ! Glad I already have a DTAC sim.

Hmmm nice intel bro Not a bad idea that, stay there right by the action. Personaly the hotels I use I dont have their breakfast or meals and eat out so just a room thats clean and tidy to use as a base would do me fine. Keep us up to date with the events and details.

While Maxims aint got all the flash of some of the hotels its just that little bit out of the way if you want to keep a low profile. Or just say fuck it and splash out a bit and stay in Petals Inn or the Dynasty Grande.

Just seen more info on the patts forum.

Ok so... brief and to the point

How about Maxims Inn at the end of Soi 7/1 ? I have stayed there three times in the past, never any problems.

On my last trip I found a nice place for some breakfast. From Soi 11 half way up on the left as you come off the Sukhumvit Road was a great stall doing some really tasty congee -

Over on the patts forum I asked the same question, What are your fav thai foods and dishes and your fav places to eat in BKK and patts. Please do hit me with your fav's -
I stayed there last November. Myself and another fellow BM and mate(who has used this hotel for a few years now) I found it was just fine. Aircon worked, safe in room, shower was good, room clean and cleanned daily. New towels and bad changed daily also. Am using this hotel againthis year. This time I am going for a room on a few floors higher, last year I was on the second floor.
