    definitely not. I am almost certain to move back and I'm going to rent a one bedroom condo in ratchada area for 11000 baht a month. Given there's no housekeeping and it doesn't include utilities but couldn't see myself spending this much on a room.

    I have been to the red cross clinic on ratchadamri road and the procedure there is fairly straightforward. It costs something like 200 baht to get tested for HIV and Syphilis. It is an anonymous clinic as well. No such identification card required. The only negative thing about this clinic is the waiting time. As it is cheap compared to private hospitals, many local Thai people come here to get checked. When I went I had to wait around 3.5 to 4 hours in total - from registration to getting my blood drawn, and then finally to receiving my results.

    Where on soi 11 is the Khao man gai place/cart? Quite partial to that and invariably end up at Pratunam intersection as never found anywhere remotely as good nearer.

     

    Its nearer to the main sukhumvit road, on the right hand side of the road, right outside the first 7-11 you see. I dont think it opens in the afternoon as I have never seen it in the day, I have only been in the night after Nana closed and Maysa and Why from Charades took me there.

    I am in the midst of trying to plan a 5 day trip to Bangkok in Jan 2015 and was just browsing some hotel prices on booking.com and thought I would give Airbnb a browse too.

     

    Was wondering if anyone here has any experience with Airbnb in Bangkok and if yes, any recommendations on specific listings? Also compared to booking a regular hotel, are there any disadvantages of booking from Airbnb?

    what hotel are you working at Davvvid? is that guest friendly ?

    5 star hotel along the riverside. Not the best location for mongering but if I'm not wrong it is guest friendly. I work in the F&B department so not 100% sure either.

    I use the tapatalk app on the iPhone for easy access to this forum but ever since the photo uploading problem, and the forum did some restart/reboot, I have been unable to access this forum through the app.

     

    It gives me the error message 'tapatalk hook was disabled in this forum'.

     

    Appreciate if someone can help enable it again as the app is very convienent to access this forum on the go. The mobile version of this forum is simply terrible.

    It does make you wonder how he takes 80 (or less now) off to be tested. And if it's a stringent test or thai style. Cynical I know but TIT😆

    Not sure how he takes them all at once. Probably not and takes them on different days. Although he did also mention that if a ladyboy couldn't go with him to get tested because of personal reasons, barfined for LT, sick, etc, there would be medical staff that would come to charades to draw blood there.

    By the way, I spoke to the papasan at charades and he told me that he does take his ladyboys for HIV testing about every 3 months. He showed me pictures and a couple of the ladyboys showed me pictures of their test results as well - all negative and hopefully it will stay that way for all of them.

    I use VPN unlimited. You can download it from the App Store on Apple or for Windows as well. It works cross platforms as well, so if you buy the package for your windows computer, it will work on your iPad/Macbook/iPhone as well.

     

    They have different packages but the one that I subscribed to cost $24.99 for 1 year which works out to slightly more than $2 a month. Well worth the money if you ask me.
