    Hi,
Can't see any reviews for this so I thought I add one given I stayed here for a couple of nights. I usually stay at the JW mariott as I travel for work and they pay but this time I had to book a room for a couple of night at my own expense. I then moved to the JW Mariott on Soi 2 so it worked out OK... nice to stay at both ends of the magic strip from Soi 4 to Soi 21.

Jasmine is more serviced apartments as opposed to a full hotel but it has a restaurant and a gym and a pool. As far I can see the complex used to be split into the Jasmine Executive Suites and the Jasmine City Hotel and there are still two websites but on Agoda it is all listed under one heading of Jasmine City Hotel.

Location: Just at the junction of Soi 23 and Sukhumvit main road. It's about 100M walk to the Soi Cowboy and 100M to a stairs leading to Asoke BTS, MRT, Terminal 21. Good location for transport and easy to get to and from airport by train.

General impressions: Somewhat confusing layout. It's basically two connected towers where the suites start from Floor 10 up to 30. The lower floors are part of a mall and a car park so you enter it via a very small lobby off the car park entrance where you take the lift to the 10th floor. The 10th floor has the formal lobby where you check in. Depending on which part you are staying in you can also get to your rooms by a choice of three other sets of lifts directly off the car park entrance.

This is the picture off Agoda and you can see the two parts of the complex. The tall tower on the left is Executive Suites and the building on the right is the City Hotel.

Rooms: Room was nice. I booked an Executive Jacuzzi suite because it was on special offer at 2500 Baht (no breakfast) but to be honest it was not worth the extra over the normal deluxe suite which was on offer for 1900 baht. The Executive suite I got was on floor 11 and had a jacuzzi as well as a shower and had more space but in fact the extra space was of no use as you can see from photos. There are other room stypes including proper 1 and 2 bed suites. Prices seem to vary a lot ... I had seen prices ranging from 2000 to 10,000 baht for the same room types over the space of a few days ! I think the recent downturn in tourist travel due to the protests has hit this place so I seem to have booked at a good time.

Bedroom with nice sofa (put to good use ) :

View from bedroom back to entrance. Bathroom has a window into room and you can see the 'living room' with a kitchen in the middle. This extra space was badly laid out. It would be much better to have it incorporated into the bedroom and have a nice couch there with a table.

OUtside on the same floor as the lobby is a smallish swimming pool with a coupe of small terraces around it for sunbathing. The pool area is between the two towers and faces East-West so I bet there is not much sun on the pool in December. This picture was taken at about 11:30AM in mid April :

The Gym is small but good range of equipment and I did not eat in the restaurant as I worked most days and got breakfast in the office.

Guest Friendly : Very much so but if you want the reassurance of a hotel taking a girls ID and checking up with you then this is not the place to stay. If you are the opposite and want somewhere where you can treat your room like your own apartment then I would say it's ideal. You just walk into the car park entrance area and go to one of the sets of lifts and head up. This is based on where I was staying on floor 11 of the City Hotels block. I can't say for certain about the other block but I think its the same. You get a lift and there is no need to stop on the lobby floor..you can go direct to your own floor as long as you use your room keycard.

The place felt almost abandoned it was so quiet and it has a weird layout as regards lifts to rooms. I never saw anyone around after 8PM and I took a few guests back over the few nights I stayed there and we never met a soul. If you can get a good price and like the whole serviced apartment with minimal customer service and staff interaction then it's a good place to stay.
