The other day I tried to book a room at Paradiso on Soi 10 near Check In Bar on Agoda. There are no rooms available on several dates. Have they closed?? Are they remodeling? If so I hope they fix the elevator. Mardhi and I got stuck in that elevator on the same day at different times.

I am looking for a way to change my email address on Agoda.com Under my profile setting the only thing I can change is my name. I cannot find a way to change my email address or phone number. The email address and phone are OK but I'd rather use a non Google email account. Also, I could not find a way to ask customer support how to do this. Looks like everything is automated without any artificial intelligence. hahaha Any suggestions?

Agoda and linking from google maps both showed no rooms on my dates.

Upon @Rodrigo recommendation I booked S15 for 2 nights next week. Galleria 10 was booked and the goto Paradiso Suites has been long closed.

Last time I was in Chiang Rai 3 of us went to the White Temple, Blue Temple and Baan Dam Museum in about 6-7 hours time including a quick lunch. I was driving a rental car and was staying in a village outside of CR. You might search for a tour company that has drivers that will pick you up at the airport and drop you off when finished that you can book ahead of time. They might also give you a good idea of how much time this would take. The North is certainly beautiful but this time of year the air pollution can be horrible. After Songkran is best but who knows. In May the rains come and clean the air. This year the air pollution has been minimal but I don't expect it to last. Today the readings are in the Red Zone. That is 150 to 200 aqi. See the chart. https://aqicn.org/scale/

What times were they outside the hotel?

I assumed it was closed. But just wanted to verify. It seems a good time to travel around Thailand and I really don't have much else to do. It would not surprise to see a hotel taking reservations through Agoda or others when they are actually closed. Thanks for the info.

If anyone is wandering around Chiang Mai looking for spicy salad check it out. I doubt it will be there long as they go back to work in the cabarets soon. https://www.chiangmaicitylife.com/citynews/local/transgender-cabaret-girls-open-spicy-salad-restaurant/

Before corona virus and after corona virus on Air Asia.

You can find updated info on border closures here: https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/international-travel-document-news/1580226297.htm I'm sure governments and business are talking to each other to coordinate the ramping up of airline travel. I would also say this is why the visa amnesty was extended until July 31 here in Thailand. They all know things won't be 'normal' for quite sometime.

You mean I have a reputation here? oh..let's not go there

Not a bad place for the cost. The idea is each room has a different color on the CMYK color model. But the room is basically gray and white. There is a little write up about each room color. Mine was spring green.. a soothing color. I had 2 rooms there. One had problems with shower drainage. The water would run over to the toilet and sink area. The drain was not clogged. The floor sloped away from the drain. Second room the key was almost impossible to wiggle out of the door lock. A box of condoms on top of the safe in each room. A LB from CL came over with no problem. No need to check in at the desk.

I do Imodium as well. Another Thai medicine for bad stomach / shits is activated charcoal. It absorbs anything it can in the stomach. Many hospitals use this with poison cases. Obviously you don't want to take 5 mins after your high blood pressure medicine. As has been stated diarrhea is nothing to mess with. When I use Imodium I am also preparing to see a doctor if I do not get immediate relief.

Can anyone recommend a reliable STD clinic in BKK? (or Chiang Mai) I'll be in town soon and should get the testing done. Prices vary I know from test to test but what are people paying for HIV tests? I don't have symptoms of anything so I look to test for the obscure diseases. There are several different HIV tests and I think accuracy varies with different tests. Anyone have info on the best accuracy?

I am still not getting email notifications of new posts that I follow. Is this an ongoing problem? Or is it just my lucky day???

Are there any decent restaurants in Lower Suk where I can get good falafel? My next door neighbor in the US was Syrian and man could she make good falafel. Edit: I know there are some on Soi 3 .. any others to be recommended?

Artbox Sukhumvit Soi 10 Chuvit Garden (CIB)

I was staying in Paradiso across Soi 10 when the workers were putting the finishing touches on this a few months ago. I went over a few nights later and was a bit bored. Maybe the vibe has gained some momentum since then. I was also alone and I'm sure this had an impact on my thinking. Nice ass the 3rd picture down ... lower right hand side. -
Biometric Fingerprint Scanners at the Airport

I think the camera is just above the finger print scanner. -
You would get better response if you posted on https://www.reddit.com/r/Bangkok or Thaivisa Forum. (God help you if you have to post on ThaiVisa) reddit is generally a younger crowd. I suggest this because Bangkok is very big and to narrow down a hospital for you would require knowing what hospitals are in your location. You don't want to go to Bumrungrad if you are in Bang Na area. I did go to a hospital here once for something and they said they could not treat it and referred me to another hospital in the area. As has been mentioned clinics are everywhere and check with pharmacies as often times the chemist will suggest something and fix you right up.
-
Most any hospital can do it. No need to go to Bumrungrad or the expensive ones. Be careful with testosterone replacement therapy as I did it for 1.5 years under a doctors care and some of my more recent health problems may well have been related to replacement therapy. My levels were 30% lower than my age range should be and the therapy increased my levels to normal for my age range.

When I first read about this a few months back I tried to remember if the gov't asked for passports when topping up your cell phone if you had not had to show your passport to get one. All of my cell phone sims I ever got I had to show a passport from 2014 onwards. I suppose it is intrusive but I think my country does the same thing. I don't think I can get a train or bus pass in the USA without some sort of ID, though I can get on a bus or a train and pay the fare cash without ID. Same as here. As we move to a cashless society......... Next time I'm in BKK I'll top up my card and if asked I'll show them my Thai drivers license and see if that works. It probably will as the license has my passport # on it.

Thai Style Nightlife Areas in Bangkok: Cocowalk, Udom Suk and Srinakarin
flipflops replied to Thanks's topic in Restaurants, Places to Eat and nightlife
I think one might follow OTS, davvid and other BMs approaches. That has been to develop relationships over time. Many of the BMs here keep continuous contact with the people they meet here. On their next trip they are sure to stop in and say hello ... even if just for a dinner and not a bar fine. Part of the success many of the BMs have is because they are interested in the girl for reasons other than sex. Get to know a few girls who will take you where the action is. Then one the next trip visit that place by yourself and see if it works. Pretty soon you'll be invited to a night of Mo Lam.. then you'll know you are in. -
All of the work put into making this forum work is greatly appreciated.

If ladyboys and other professionals have your number the phone will be fast and furious!! If you have an unlocked (to carrier) GSM phone you only need to pick up a tourist SIM card.
