  1.

January is a tough month for for getting upgrades, but worth a try, otherwise you'll need to wedge something around the beds wheels so it doesn't move. You might even talk to the manager and arrange maintenance to rig something.

Aum (Thai) and Ning (Lao) from Chaos 9. They are quite keen to work together again.

I stayed at Aspen a few years ago and I remember how annoying the bed wheels were on the wood floors, but I got a fix for that. I ordered some furniture cups on ebay for 125 baht that should remedy that quite nicely, and at only 125 baht if I forget them it's no big deal.

  2. I stopped at Pala today for a couple of slices. This pizza is not only good for BKK, it's good period. I would go here all the time if I lived here. They not only have pizza, but a good pasta & wine menu. It's not cheap like street food, but it's also not too expensive. If your craving some italian eats in the sukhumvit than Pala will not disappoint. - Under Asoke BTS, next to Terminal 21

  3. Next time you're going to CIB I recommend the street vendor directly across from New Wave bar (just past CIB on Soi 7). I've been eating & snacking there the last few nights. Everything I've tried there so far has been really good, but their papaya salad is especially good. Me being the falang that I am I always tell them "no spicy", and it hits the spot every time. If you're looking for a good desert the ice cream vendor at Dubai on Soi 4 (next to Hilary 2) can't be beat. 100B for a 3 scoop cone of some of the best ice cream I've had in a long time. I took Cindy from Charades there & she recognized the guy serving the ice cream from TV so I guess it's pretty famous stuff.
