    Majestic Grande (updated 2014)

This pool is unusable, it's freezing cold, yes freezing cold even when the temp outside is high 30s. And the seating area is basically just a smoke break room.

Aloft and Four Points by Sheraton (updated 2013)

I stayed at Aloft hotel in Dec2012/Jan2013 and overall it was pretty nice hotel, i would recommend it. It is lb friendly and doesn't charge a guest fee. It's very modern and new, has a unique open concept design for the whole hotel. Honestly from the pictures on expedia, i thought it looked really weird, but it's much better looking in person. The swimming pool is nice, and it has a gym. the location was just ok, it's a very busy street with slow moving traffic, even the taxi drivers comment on how slow the traffic is there. they do have a tuk tuk that can take you to nana bts, but you might have to wait 15 minutes for him to get back to the hotel. there is a 711 just outside and some really nice restaurants down the street.

    Majestic Grande (updated 2014)

I stayed at Majestic Grande last year for almost a week. I felt overall it was great value and the location was amazing. pros: location: guess bar right outside, nana plaza just a short walk down the road. large rooms, nicely furnished, nice bathrooms excellent breakfast buffet (best i've seen in thailand) lb friendly, polite staff price cons: small swimming pool looked really nice but was freezing cold water, they had lawn chairs where you could sit and relax, but every 5 -10 minutes someone would come and sit there to smoke. the A/C in the rooms was kinda bad, the air quality was poor with lots of dust, i was coughing with it on sometimes. BTS isn't very close you have to cross a busy road to get to it
