Flights, food, fucking and shoes all in one post! Now that's advice you won't get at Thomas Cook....
lol, thanks!!

I've started flying Etihad business for my trips home from BKK to the UK. I dropped Emirates after luggage was stolen and they didn't give a shit, and on another flight they charged me excess for 3KG's when others were getting away with it. Like others say, the food can also be hit and miss with Emirates.
I now fly BKK to AMS (Where I used to live, so always good to stop on the way back and bone my ex-Thai gf) and then onto Birmingham or Exeter (Depending on which home I'm going to) in the UK.
The Etihad return costs only approx 65,000 baht for a business saver fare, flat bed and food is good and cooked when you want it. Then 150 quid return on KLM, great value I think.
This is far cheaper than going direct to the UK via LHR or LGW as the flight taxes are another 20,000 at least, so having some fun in AMS pays for itself, also it's a great place to buy quality shoes if you have big feet.

easy enough to treat with Acicolvir tablets and there are worse things you can catch..

Very often good chefs cook crap because it is what the customers want.
Thats very true, I own a pub in the UK and do the same. Would love to take the menu up a notch, but the punters love their junk.
I will say this for the Game, the food is very very good and cheap, both the Thai and Farang.
The buffalo wings are simply the best in BKK!

I'm in there most nights after work, my favourtite bar, excellent pool tables...

When I can't find a bum gun I improvise. Depending on the shower fittings, I often take off the shower head and use that to clean my ass with. Much less risky actually, as I doubt many ppl do that.
I usually just press on the outside of my ass and let the water go in, then run to the toilet and dump it there. The only pain is that this needs to be repeated a few times
You can always go to home pro and get your own bum gun head.... I also have a shower attachment that i use when the hotel doesn't have a bumgun. Got it from a sex shop in amsterdam, but should be available online.
As for the water, I'm not overly concerned, I brush my teeth and rinse with tap water every day... never had a problem.

I have been looking around for flights ex BKK to go to London. Aside from the fact prices have gone up a lot, it really does appear that the Internet age has not hit Thailand, at least as far as flight bookings go. From what i can see, the best fares are on the airlines own websites.
I will check out some real travel agencies as well over the coming weeks. seems like 32,000b is about the best economy fare and 82,000b the best Business class fare (South Asian/Indian carriers excluded - I have done the Mumbai transfers before for business and vowed never again).
Hey Mardhi, Etihad have got some excellent Business Saver fares on at the moment.... I just paid 65k to get to Amsterdam... then will hop over to my regional airport and stay in the dam on the way back for the weekend.

I've used these in Malaysia and it works well, the difference being that the drivers speak English ok.problem is in BKK, the taxi drivers can't confirm the bookings more often than not as they don't feel comfortable attemping English on the phone, also the times I have used them to book in advance, the drivers have also cancelled at the last minute. There are never a shortage of drivers on the streets anyway at most times of the day and night.
If I were to look for positives, possibly a good use would be in places like Soi 11, where the taxi mafia stand around looking for fixed price work. Even passing drivers will try the same and you want to book an airport run.

Looks great, a lot of these suites that cater mostly for the Japanese also allow smoking... did you notice any ashtrays in the room or smell? I often use this as an excuse to create a shit storm in order to get an upgrade.

One LB said she wouldnt go to World Inn with me, because it was haunted. Anyone else know that, or was it just an excuse to say no? LOL
No, lb's are gifted with the ability to sense ghosts, this is normal

Thanks for the info, jimmi. Does a pack of six consist of six doses or is it that six pills make a single dose?
I was hoping to find a pharmacy in the Nana area where I'm staying, but if not I can jump on the BTS and head to Ekkamai station.
For a dose of gonnoreah or chylamidia, Dr.Jimmi prescribes a 1g (4 tablet) dose, you can try and buy four or bank the remaining two, but the 1g dose will sort it. Should take 3 days before everything clears up 100% but after one day you will notice an improvment. Take on an empty stomach and do not eat at least an hour afterwards. Stay out the sun and off the booze, you may also get the shits.
You can try the Pharmacy opposite the Amari in Soi 5 too, although I am 100% certain that they have stock in Ekkamai.

Ekkamai station have them, you have to go to the little pharamcy which is INSIDE the ticket barriers.... if not arriving by BTS and you on the other side of the barriers (need to be on the Gateway side), you can ask the security guard to go get the pharmacist. They also have Thai generic, but I prefer the real thing. Pack of 6 which is 1.5g costs 550 Baht.

For those of you who contemplate travelling EUR -THAI with Aeroflot, you will regret it.
Aeroflot has stopped all serving of alcohol on their flights economy class, i found it incredibly hard to get any sort of consistent sleep without having the dulling effect of a few small bottles of. Its been a hard day towards night today.
Good night
It was a matter of time before they stopped serving alcohol. I worked in Moscow for six months commuting from Amsterdam where I was living at the time. The Russians flying home would either open a bottle of their own after take off or pester the crew incessantly during the flight.

Sounds excellent, ive eaten in there before, top burgers!
I had an awful experience at the firehouse, food took 45 minutes and came out stone cold.... they were giving priority to food by phone (take away) orders.... never again!!

i think you may need to elaborate more on how you will use these mirrors...
-
It's a decent boozer too, although the food is a bit hit and miss, I was served microwaved chicken wings in there.
My favourite pub on that Soi is The Royal Oak.

Pat will also arrange a GG to join ST if you want.
Is the GG decent looking or a mother of three with stretch marks and saggy tits?

I stayed in the Yorkshire Hotel last weekend, cost 5k for three nights. Breakfast was also very good with proper bacon, not the american streaky shit.
Rooms aren't 5 star, but OK with working desk and hot water, beds also firm but comfortable. Staff very friendly and polite towards joiners.
Gym is excellent. Very close to the action, yet quiet enough to sleep.

Well im currently trying to decide where to stay for 8 nights in early november ,,seems like many have upped their prices already for that period ,,,i like being central and travel out on day trips ,,,,the more i search for hotels the more confused i get 555
I tend to book at the last possible moment now Rod and get the best deals on Booking.com ... there will always be an oversupply of hotel rooms in BKK, so there is always a deal to be found...

my recent stay at the Amora on booking.com was 1500 per night.... thats typically my ceiling for hotel rooms these days
