    Any suggestions for ASOKE hotels?

The Key, Soi 19 Alley is good with a deluxe room at $50 per night. It is situated with two access points to Sukhumvit and very quiet. Very close to Robinson's and Market for food and toiletries. A five minute walk to Cowboy, 10 to NEP, no joiner fee and I hope I mentioned no noise. Perfect hideaway.

    SM Grande Residence (updated 2015)

    Looks cheap.
  3. I searched this forum and couldn't find a reference for craft beer. I googled and discovered there are quite a few craft brew placez in BKK, but am looking for personal input from BMs. I know many of you enjoy a tasty brew, but for those of you frequenting these extablishments, have you come across any BARREL-AGED brews?

    BKK Craft Beer

Thanks all for the input. There aren't any barrel-aged craft brews indiginous to Thailand...yet. The majority of 'craft' beers in LOS are imported from and labeled with names from other countries. It's understood that one would want to be particular and singularly associated with ones home country products. I will continue to search for a Thai-oriented craft experience.

    Salil Hotel Sukhumvit soi11

What's with the yawning pink and puke yellow colors. I guess if you just want to sleep, it'll do.

    Mermaid hotel

Stayed here for a week last year. Good location down a quiet Soi; reasonable price, corner room was hood-in room safe, good water pressure, daily clean, quiet, no extra for guests and Danish eatery on the lobby level.
  7. Had similar issues recently. TF locked me out after 5 yrs with zero problems. I finally am able to sign in, but I can't browse anymore. The only page that's displaying is a prompt to update my account to premiere membership ($). I then created a new acct and encountering the same thing.
  8. Just razor cut the page out.

    hotel private access/ discreet entrance

S31 lobby is up several floors-security desk is friendly too.
  10. Been staying at Jasmine Executive Suites for several years now and its location, room layout and service was perfect until recently. They moved the front desk upstairs and now charge for joiner. Since there are two towers, used to be you could go up the lift from the car parl and bypass everything-but now you end up passing within view of the desk. I'll be staying elsewhere.

  12. I booked Jasmine Ex Suites for my first leg of LOS this trip in November. Feel free to ask if you any questions.

    Flight ratings (2015 updates)

I prefer the usual Asian carriers--ANA tops, Singapore Airlines second and then any of these three: China Airlines, EVA or Cathay Pacific. I have to agree with the last two posts about prices though, the best airlines to obtain the cheapest tickets are the ones that just had bad press coverage (usually for a crash)--Maylasian, Asiana, JAL and Korean Airlines. Just saying...

    Hotel S33 Compact Sukhumvit Hotel

Will be at the S 31 upon arrival, good to know and yes, they are listed as guest friendly. Anyone with experience at S 31???
  15. Forgot to ask: joiner fees?
  16. Sounds nice. Just got a quote for just less than $145 USD per night, for the studio room--all of the rooms look really nice. I alo like the discreet entry, never liked the walk of shame and I'm a bit tired of leasing apartment rooms all over the city.

    Davis hotel

Yes, LB and GG friendly. There's a thread on here for the Davis and with pictures--not a variety of rooms, but all nice for the price. The hotel is a bit up the street away from Suk and so too are the regular hangouts (NEP and Soi Cowboy), but it's also away from most of the noise. As you come out the door and make your way toward Suk, right before the big street on the right are a few massage parlors--good time there too! Staff is pleasant, but the rooms are starting to get a little long in the tooth--need an upgrade soon. Also, check to ensure they cleaned your room thoroughly...nothting worse than checking into a room that has the smell or a condom and finding that condom in the waste basket.

    Bourbon Street

Wow, map on Trip Advisor had it in the Soi 20s--70s is way too far!! Thanks.

    Bourbon Street

Anyone? Up Suk, Soi 22 and away from the racket, but still within range. Seems to have good reviews on Trip Advisor-Oyster Bar downstairs and close to Suk and Soi Cowboy. Anyone stay there? LB friendly? Noise, etc.? http://www.bourbonstbkk.com/

    Photogenic rooms in BKK

I've stayed at the Davis several times. It's a bit up Suk, but close to massage central and out of the noise; and the Soi 33 bars...now there's Dark Side! I usually get a Superior Room (read: large studio), but it's a good sized room with moderan amenities and there are no joiner fees.
