  1. Taxi fare should only be 190 TBT total after 11pm to Nana ... I took it 3 times last year and that was the max of all 3 trips.

Two other times I arrived during the day thus took the Airport Link - just keep going down and down in the terminal and you will see signs for City Train.

Get off at Makassan Station then walk out of the station take a right and up to the light and cross the road and grab a taxi. You are 8 min away from Nana Soi 4 ... If you grab a cab from the station they can only go left and then have to make a U-turn quite a ways down so better to get across the street.

Alternatively, you can take the Airport Link to Praya Thai Station at the end of the line then switch trains to head toward Bearing and get off at Nana. This way you still need to find a way to your hotel thus getting off at Makassan Station is really easier.

  2.

sometimes i will buy a bag of these and give them to the Cascade girls, who like most women, will say, "oh i can't eat those they're fattening", then they dive in and eat the whole lot. :o:D

Had the same experience with the chocolates from the bakery area ... took a bag full down to GB and passed them out Christmas Eve ... the chocolates were a big hit with the girls :D

Never thought about hanging out there from 5-7pm though ... that would be much better than the bars at the entrance to NEP ...

  3. I stayed there late Dec '10 ... took a LB back during the day and then a GG back for 3 days with no problem. I was quite worried since that was my first trip to LOS all together and didn't know my way around at all.

    Great swimming pool area too!!

  4. DIG on Soi 6, as Dawin, does not have the hose.

    DIG acronym is for ?

Any recommendations for a residence apartment down by the river (but still close to SkyTrain)?

    Citadines 11 looks nice ...

As does Woraburi on Soi 4 ...

Anyone have any info on this place? Joiner fees?

Or any other areas people suggest for an extended stay? I wouldn't mind getting a little ways away from Nana area ... just as long as I can get there quickly :-) ... some place close to the SkyTrain so I can take the Airport Link in ... did this last time on my first trip with no problems ... Dawin Hotel was nice (then the Landmark) but a little too close ...

I'll be taking long weekend trips to the beaches so won't be stuck in bkk the whole time.

  5. Check expedia.com ... I landed the Landmark - right around the corner from Soi 4 - for $66 / night ... great pool and nice rooms. I'm not sure about being guest-friendly for LB's since I had a GG at that point in my trip.

I stayed at Dawin for 4 nights and really liked it there ... across the street is Heaven@4 and it looks really nice but no pool there. I'm going for a Residence Apt next trip in March ... stay for 2-3 months working remotely from CA.
